Merry belated Christmas! I sent you something wonderful, but because I was late on this (sorry btw), I decided I'd share with you some of my favorite Filipino recipes.
1) First up, Filipino style egg rolls,
Lumpia! My mom would normally fry these, but I wanted something less oily and found this recipe. I typically leave out a few of the ingredients I don't like/allergic to, but otherwise pork and shrimp lumpia is genius! Don't forget the dipping sauce! Though I usually buy mine at the Asian market lol.
2) Next,
Chicken Adobo! Really super easy meal whenever you're in a time crunch. Though you can marinade it over night for better flavor.
3) Lastly, and this one is a bit of a time sucker (but oh so worth it), Filipino steam buns,
Siopao! I haven't actually used this particular recipe because I usually get a flour mix from the Asian market that my mom use to get to save on time. I'm sorry I can't share the name cause I only know it by the looks of the package and that it calls for a lot of sugar. If the bread is not sweet, it's not my mom's Siopao lol. It's a lot of work, but worth it in the end. You can put whatever filling you want inside and use whatever steamer you got, just remember to make a bunch though, cause they go fast!
Hope you enjoy these Brolis! And anyone else who is interested! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
