User ImageHalwyn sat, silently, drinking coffee at his favorite coffee shop. He usually felt happy here, and welcome too. Today had been... different. It wasn't the staff, at all. They were as warm and kind as ever. No, some stranger, a pure fallen, had come in and snarled something prejudiced about mutated folks, how they were freaks of nature, shouldn't be allowed to live, and should go off to die alone. It had left him feeling sad, and lonely, and reminded him of how hard he found it to trust non Hallowed. It also reminded him of the fact that he lived alone, and had no family to speak of.

As he stirred his coffee, he overheard a couple talking about how they'd just imbued a pair of stones, and were excitedly awaiting their first children. He sat up, startled, and then smiled. A brilliant idea occurred to him. He didn't HAVE to be alone! He could... he could imbue a stone, and have a child. He thought he remembered a mutant he'd met recently, and he wondered if she'd be interested in imbuing with him. He stood up, and walked towards the exit, smiling. He knew what to do, now.
