Saponite he strolled through the streets of Destiny City, glancing down alleyways as he went. The sun was rapidly setting, and most people should be off work by now, so he expected people ought to have been out drinking for a while. He figured if he looked around long enough, he would probably find someone passed out somewhere, or perhaps half-drunk. Either way, he could drain some energy without too much trouble, then maybe get them some help. Perhaps call an ambulance. He'd be doing them a favor, really, and filling his quota at the same time. The evening was warm for winter, but it was still winter, and he was glad his uniform came with gloves. He rubbed his hands together briskly before tucking them in his pockets. Better look quick, so he could find someone and get them off the streets before they froze. And then get himself off the street before he froze. He picked u p his pace, heading briskly towards a bar he remembered seeing.

Meteora was late. Her show was supposed to start in twenty minutes and thanks to the physical therapist wanting to double check Xan was doing his at home exercises, she was just going to make it. That was the funny thing about improv. For as much as it was on the fly, it still was horrible to be late to! So she had taken on her powered form to make the travel a bit faster from the therapist to the show. Driving had been out. Traffic was a nightmare! "I'm going to make it." Meteora sighed as she slowed down, the bar coming into sight. She was just about to power down when she felt that tug. "Oh for Christ sake..." The woman hissed before quickly looking around the corner. She say the hair quickly. "Not now..." But, Xan would kick her if she didn't... "Hey, lose something?"

When someone called out to Saponite, he automatically looked at the speaker and smiled. It was only when he saw the unusually fancy dress did he realize the person had an Order power signature. She didn't look like a senshi though, so...maybe a knight? He hadn't exactly met many of either so far, so it was hard to tell. Well, what to do about her, then? He'd learned Order was bad and should be opposed at all times, but he had no idea what the knight was doing here, and therefore how he could oppose whatever it was. He decided to play it casual for now and see how things went. So he replied, "Nah, just heading out for a drink." Sure he was only in high school, but maybe he looked old enough for the comment to pass. He slowed down a little but kept walking, waiting to see how she would react.

Her facial expression gave away just how much she believed that comment. "Care to try that reasoning again?" Met offered, her look of 'yea right' switching to amusement as her arms crossed under her chest. Coming out more, she moved slowly towards him, keeping an eye on the area. The last man she had fought had been all about getting them out of the way of others. This one... "Agents may go out for a drink but in uniform?" her hands released, holding them up for a moment. "Forgive my doubt but I have a lingering feeling you are looking for something else besides a beer and tail..." Her hand summoned her silk scarf, the glass star swinging in the night air. "And I can't let you go after lives..."

Well, he admitted to himself, perhaps the claim he was going for a drink had been a bit unbelievable. It has been the only thing he could think of at the time, though. He kept an eye on the knight as she started to approach, and stopped walking when she summoned her...weapon? He assumed it must be, though a strip of cloth with what looked like a Christmas ornament at the end didn't look much like a weapon. Then again, his own "weapon" was even less threatening, so who was he to say anything? She looked to be looking for a fight, but Saponite had never really fought anyone before, and wasn't really looking forward to the prospect. He tried one more time to diffuse the situation and shrugged, holding his hands up disarmingly. "No way would I be looking for lives," he told her. "I'm not out to hurt anyone. Just taking a look around."

"Look, I really don't have time for excuses..." Meteora sighed realizing that she was mostly likely already missing things. This was not her night. "Or lies or all that jazz...." The hand holding her weapon went to her hip. "Bottom line here is nega in crowded space...sir I don't believe you for a moment. And since I can't trust that leaving you alone is going to not result in someone needing medical attention, then I'm going to say this once....get out of here." She wasn't in the mood for talk. If he was going to stick around, she'd scare him off....well...try to.

She really was inclined to think the worst of him, and Saponite had to admit she had good reason to. He might not be out to hurt anyone, but his motives weren't entirely benign, either. But she was giving him a chance to walk off, so he smiled and nodded. He could always look somewhere else. He was about to turn and walk away, but he hesitated. Gathering energy was part of his job description, but so was opposing Order. He didn't know what the knight was here for, but he ought to try and stop whatever it was. He really didn't know how to fight, but it felt wrong to just walk off without even trying. He wavered a bit, looking vaguely uncertain as he tried to decide what to do.

At first she believed he was about to take off. Someone else could handle him and she could make it to her show. While Kai would scold her for this, she couldn't help it. This was one thing she looked forward to doing...a stress reliever. The last thing she wanted was to blow up at anyone because she was frustrated at... Oh why did he stop! Groaning, she closed the distance between them, swung her scarf and to smack him in the head with the glass star. mewrose So sorry about that delay!

Saponite hadn't yet made up his mind what he wanted to do when the Knight groaned. Apparently she had grown impatient because she closed in on him, swinging her weapon. Startled by the sudden movement, he reflexively took half a step back, so the star just grazed his head instead of hitting full on. He flinched and swiped a hand at the scarf, trying to grab hold of it to keep it from hitting him again.

The look Meteora gave him was clearly unamused. She didn't want to hurt him so as he grabbed hold of the scarf, she just shook her head. "I'm not going to say it again." She spoke directly and to the point. "Get out of here. I don't want to have to fight you but if you stay..." Yanking back, she pulled the scarf, working to remove it from his hold. "Besides, I'm sure you have better things to do than walk around the city at an hour like this."

Saponite managed to grab hold of the scarf, but was at a loss for what to do with it. When the Knight yanked on the scarf, Saponite reflexively held on to it for a moment, resulting in a brief tug-of-war. Then he realized this was probably a bad idea and let go. She had a weapon that was actually useful, knew how to use it, and probably knew how to fight in general. Saponite had none of these things. While he needed to gather energy to meet his quota, there were probably safer places to do it. "Right, bye then," he said, and ran off without another word. being sure to head the opposite direction of where he'd been going. He glanced behind him as he went, making sure she wasn't about to change her mind and attack him after all.

She stood there watching the agent run until he was gone. Part of her said to go after him but the other part realized what time it was. He was someone else's problem now. "Shoot!" She hissed, hiking up her dress. "The team isn't going to forgive this one.

Saponite was only about a block or two away when he realized the knight wasn't following him, and in fact was headed away. He slowed to a walk, but kept going. If she wasn't after him, and she didn't want him around there, he could keep looking for someone else to drain energy from. With no destination in mind, he just picked a direction and started walking. He'd try to avoid running into any more Order signatures, though.
