Speaking of those rabbits! If you get bitten, for roughly two days after the bite, the injury is cold and the victim will feel random, cold, shooting pains. Their core body temperature will drop and they will often be sent into random fits of shivering. Eventually, these symptoms disappear--and so do the bunnies. Perhaps you, or someone you know, have the unfortunate luck of being attacked by one of these strange little bunnies. Good luck! No medicine seems to help, and no amounts of blankets or hot baths can soothe the chill. You're just going to have to deal with it and hope it gets better…

Why had she ever thought that following white rabbits was going to be a good idea? Look at the mess it had gotten Alice into in the first place…it was stupid. She was stupid, god she was so, so stupid! Gale was curled up in her bed with four pairs of socks on, two sweatshirts and her winter coat on as well, all while being covered up with every blanket she could find in her house. She had never been this cold in her life!

That stupid, cute little rabbit had looked so innocent…and then just hadn’t been innocent at all! It was a monster…but…it hadn’t felt like a youma…and the lieutenant hadn’t seemed to have known that the awful beast was going to attack her, he had been as surprised as she was…

Her arm hurt. It hurt so badly, and it was so cold, colder than the rest of her…which was something that she couldn’t understand, since she was quite sure she was turning into an ice cube. Or maybe she was already an ice cube. Maybe she was just…coming down with the flu? Karone had the flu, she had spoken to her sister earlier in the day and she had sounded horrible… she was glad she hadn’t gotten that…but honestly…this was bad too, and there was no way to explain it to a doctor…what was she supposed to say? ‘Oh Hey doc, I got bitten by some sort of cute fuzzy bunny now I’m so cold I can’t think and can’t move~’

Yeah. That would get her thrown into a mental asylum if she decided to go and blab that to any doctors. And her reasoning for getting close to the ice demon rabbits was another great bit of evidence to get her tossed into the loony bin forever. Who followed animals to have adventures? God why couldn’t she do anything right?

Gale pulled the blankets she had tighter around her as another fit of shivering started. Why wasn’t anything making this cold go away? It was like she couldn’t even feel the warmth of anything…not soup, or a hot bath…or hot chocolate…it was as though she had turned into a snowman. Snow…woman. She hated it.

Oh. Well…well maybe that lieutenant had just drained her energy a lot…maybe that’s why she was cold…because…she was….almost dead? But that didn’t make sense. She didn’t feel tired…well, she felt tired of shivering, but it wasn’t the bone deep exhaustion that she would get after Paracelsian would drain her energy…that was a completely different feeling…this was…
This was just another thing to overcome.

Maybe she was just going crazy. Or maybe she was just getting sick or something…yeah, that sort of made some sense. Finals had ended only a week or so ago…and…and…yeah. She was just coming down with a cold.
Pausing for a moment, Gale broke into a smile, unable to stop herself. A cold. Really? Here she was freezing to death and now she had the gall to make puns out of it? Great job. She was outstanding, really.

A cold.
