itsie bitsie spider super late start ft. meeee
Such as having to stay indoors. It was colder out, and snowing, proving to be a little dangerous with the ice hidden beneath the fluffy white stuff. But hey, that was ok. That just meant they got to hang out in one of the big playrooms! Following his class on into one of them, he was hopping a little in place impatiently. His handheld was running out of power! He needed to charge it quickly!
Dancing around the line once he got past the threshold of the doorway, he skittered off towards one of the walls to find an outlet. Peering behind chairs, he perked up when he spied one hidden behind. Instantly, he shoved the chair further out of the way, and plopped down beside the power source. Setting down his backpack, he pulled out his charger, plugged it in, and fed his handheld. With a great sigh of relief, he let it sit there closed to get juiced up faster. That was a close call.

 Being in a class close to one of the recess rooms, Sharkura was already there when the next class began to pile in. Oh goodness... this surely didn't bode well for the ever so shy little hallowed. She he her handheld game system close to her body as if it would protect her from the others flooded in and were closing in on her personal space.
It felt so lucky when nobody really encroached on her personal space bubble. Phew. That was, until she noticed another kid sitting dangerously close to it! "Eep!" she let out, not realizing that she had just vocalized her inner panic. Still holding her game system ever so close as her little protector, she began to inch along the wall ever so slowly in hopes they wouldn't notice her.
... Though, there was a small part of her that was curious about what the other kid was playing...musicaloner7 take a bow! it's such a wonderful entrance ;3 <3

Standing triumphantly, hands resting on his hips while he waited, the little hybrid looked slowly around him at the rest of the kids that were filling up the place. But his attention was grabbed when a sudden peep reached his ears, making his head whip around towards the source, and his bright eyes widen with curiosity. Spotting the meek little freshling that was... wait... instantly, his eyes began to glow brighter when he honed in on the handheld they had in their possession.
Instantly, he got a huge grin on his face, and without consideration, made his way on closer. Another gamer???? "Hey, what're ya playing?" he asked, completely unawares of the poor dears nervousness, especially as he got up right beside her to take a peek at the device even further. Wasn't often he saw other kids playing with these, so this was awesome to see!

With every few seconds that Sharkura spent watching in horror as this other child grew dangerously close to popping her bubble, her game bubbles creeped lower and lower until the sound of a game over tolled of the game over awaiting her return to gaming land. Not that she heard it. She was too focused on trying to hide as much as she could to go unnoticed! Though, for her, that didn't really work out as the kid zipped right on over and popped her personal space bubble.
"I - I..." she stammered just a bit. "I'm pl-playing Bubble P-Pop..." Slowly she held up the handheld to show the other kid, unaware [still] of her game over status on the screen. She felt bad being so nervous around the other kid, but there were so many others about that it was a bit hard for her to handle. At least this kid wasn't mean. That was definitely a plus in her mind!

His nose wrinkled a little as he began to see her wilting away from him, one brow crooking while the other furrowed. What had he done? Did he smell? suddenly sniffing around himself, his lips pursed out a bit in thought. Hm.... smelled normal. Oh... maybe she was intimated by him? he was a bit on the bigger size for his age.
Feeling a little of his cockiness flare up, he puffed up a touch, and grinned, "don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt'cha, or beat'cha up. I only do that to bullies." he assured with some nods. There, that should make her relax, right?
Oh but hey, the game! Peering at the screen again, he gave a soft 'oooohh' in realization. The sounds had been familiar, "Hey, you lost!" he exclaimed, eyes growing wide, "Did you get to save beforehand?" now concern etched on his face, lips pulling back into a sort of distressed look. He knew the agony of not saving ones progress.... or failing on a tough level.

She watched curiously as the other kid began to sniff himself. How curious. That was something she wasn't used to seeing someone do, but as she had been taught, to each their own. And with that she nodded, though she didn't realize that she had done so.
The puffery from the other kid had made Sharkura giggle just a little bit to herself and she felt much more at ease around them. She hadn't really had any run-ins with bullies, but it was nice to know that there was someone around that could take care of the brutes if need be. "If... If I ever have a bully problem, you'll be the first to know." she offered with a soft smile on her face.
"I lost?!" she exclaimed. "Well darn it." she sighed, slumping on the floor. "I was doing so good on that level, too." The frustration from the lost round made the little hallowed sniffle and rub her eyes. With everything going on around her with all these other kids, it was just too much for her to handle and she began to tear up and sniffle again, looking at the screen with a most forlorn expression.

"Sure thing!" he chirped, grinning bigger. He liked taking care of bullies. He did it for his big brother all the time. Poor guy got picked on a lot... but Orion was always there to back him up!
But with the other freshlings realization of their lost progress, Orion's tendrils flared slightly from surprise of the new change of demeanor that now took over the colourful kid. Oh no... were they upset??? shoot. Gritting his teeth, and his brows knitting with an apologetic expression, he reached out to pat Sharkura on the back, softly cooing to her as he would his brother, "Hey, hey, don't get upset now." luckily he was getting good at this sorta thing, what with how Juju tended to get really emotional really quick over.... everything.
How to fix this... how to fix this... Oh! Lightly ruffling the other kids hair, Orion turned on a bright smile, "How about I get you back to that level again, huh? It was kinda my fault wasn't it, for coming over here, right? you must'a been scared of me, cause I'm all big n' strong n' stuff." yeah he could understand that. Made sense. He didn't blame her!

Sharkura was very baffled by this quite straight forward, bully bouncer who was also a gamer like her. She wanted very much to seem more friendly because he was being so toward her, but nerves were nerves. Still, she was working on trying to get over hers.
Although she had the want to be on more friendly terms, her concern over her game sort of took over her focus for the moment. That was until she felt the pat pat of the other's hand on her back. Her little eyes widened quite a bit and she looked over at them, panicking slightly before she remembered that he was a friendly guy and he was obviously trying to be a comfort to her. Sharkura gave a small, yet grateful smile to him. "Thank you... uhm..." it was then that she realized she didn't know the little bouncer's name. "What was your name? I'm Sharkura..." she said shyly.
And as the friendly kid offered to help her on her level, the little hallowed unconsciously brought the handheld closer to her body before holding it out to him. "Okay." she agreed. There was almost a 'be careful' added on, but she knew that being a fellow gamer, her handheld was... in good hands?

He was patient, and watchful, as he typically was when his brother went into one of his spirals of distress. It was important to wait it out a little, let them gather themselves, not too much added stress! Orion kept his gaze poised carefully, for any sign of further signs of distraught, sighing out in relief when she managed to smile. Phew, that was better!
Letting his own smile beam, he puffed his chest again, "I'm Orion. Nice t'meetcha, Sharkura! That's a pretty cool name." he praised, nodding reassuringly. Giving another light tousle of her hair, keeping mindful of the headwings, he pointed over to where he'd been charging his own handheld, "Here, let's go sit over here. My game's charging. I almost ran out of battery during class!" he gave a slightly exasperated sort of expression at the thought of his precious treasure dying on him. What else would he do during classes???
With her approval, he very carefully took her handheld, noting her hesitance, "Don't worry, I'll make sure to get you back to that level." trotting back to his seat, he patted the one beside him for her, before his focus zoned in on the new game. Ok, time to Pop some Bubbles!

Sharkura was ever so grateful to the other kid for being so nice to her. It really helped her feel a bit better about being around all these other kids knowing that he was kind of a protector of her. At least for now, anyways. "I really like your name, too." Though she wasn't sure what to think about him touching her hair all the time. At least he didn't mess with her headwings!... which she perked up after he was done playing with her hair.
As Orion invited her to come sit down with him, she gave a smile and nodded as she followed and sat in the seat beside him. "Wait... You play your games during class? Don't you miss out on what the teacher is talking about? Or worse!... get in trouble?" Wow. She had never thought about actually playing her handheld during class. She always waited until recess time.
Scooting a little closer, she leaned over and watched as Orion began to play the game, popping bubble like a pro.
