During a day at home, off of school, Silas was cozily curled up in bed, nestled with his mounds of plushies, reading a good book. It was as he continued along the story that a moment of reflection dawned upon him. Giving pause to the page he'd ended on, his pale eyes drifted off to the window nearby, gazing at the academy that wasn't too far off in the distance.

The little litch had gone through so many changes in such a short amount of time... It was... amazing. And a bit overwhelming at the same time. The timid, reserved little Silas that kept to himself, and hardly opened up, had been adopted and found a warm, safe, loving home. He'd never thought he would find something like that, nor could he even have imagined what it would all entail! But his fathers had welcomed him and taken him into their adoring arms wholeheartedly. Every day felt surreal, gifted with such affectionate parents, who made time for him each and every day...

Not only had he been graced with exceptional parents, but a friend. An actual friend! Sure he knew other freshlings at the adoption agency, but... none had really given him the time of day, or spent any time with him. But here at the Academy, he'd found Caper... Caper who was so kind, caring, and comforting to the insecure little Litch. He always made Silas feel at ease, to the point that Silas would cling to the geist when ever he was near! It was hard to believe that Caper would want to spend so much time with him... And yet Silas could always rely on Caper to be there for him.

Truly.. he felt so very blessed.
