Setting: Currie, MN
Victim's Name: Ernest Nilsson
Victim Info: Ernest is an elderly man, one who appears much older due to the majority of his working life being spent at the local Toro manufacturing plant. He suffers heavily from arthritis and osteoporosis. Despite his hard life, he is cheerful and loves to tell (somewhat off-color) jokes. He's a small, thin man with weathered skin, white hair, and piercing blue eyes.
Family Member's Name: Jessica Nilsson Granger
Family Member Info: Ernest's daughter. She moved to Worthington, MN to find work decades ago, and ended up never leaving. After a long stay in a hospital due to a broken hip, she's finally been able to visit her father in Currie, only to find he's gone missing. Jessica looks like many local women, heavily pear-shaped and wearing her brown hair in a outdated style, though she did inherit her father's eyes.

Songtao snuggled imperceptibly into her down coat, wiggling her toes and relishing her barriers against the damp Minnesotan winter. Even inside their rental car, she could feel the cold leeching in through the door and windows. She'd never be able to thank the park guides at Yellowstone enough for directing to her to retailers who could properly outfit her. The duck boots had cost an arm and a leg, but they'd proven their worth in October for sure.
She checked her phone again, additionally grateful for the touch screen-friendly gloves. Their mark was staying at her father's house in a place called Currie, which was big enough to warrant a "nice" restaurant, at least, though it wasn't open most of the time. The towns they passed so far seemed to be relics of another age, complete with peeling paint and closed store-fronts, all spaced evenly along the highway. It wasn't terribly different from Michigan, but Songtao tried to compile differences in her head anyhow.
After a moment, she realized she'd been quiet for a little too long.
"Do you think Mr Nilsson is still alive?"
