[prompt] - Destiny City has had a few experiences with snow so far, but no one can argue that this most recent snow is the best for building snowmen. It's on a weekend, and the weather is just perfect. Many have dubbed today the city's unofficial 'Build a Snowman Day'. Snowman, snow sculpture, snow angel--whatever you want to make, have fun with it! Young or old, take some time to appreciate the little things and connect with some good old, basic, winter fun! Dani closed her eyes, wanting to cry. Aunt Claudia had been trying to reach Mom and Dad for the last two weeks, ever since the train had broken down, and left messages. Yet Mom and Dad had not even returned her calls. Dani had not seen her parents and siblings for three years, since the adults broke up the family, and now she and Aunt Claudia had finally come home and there was no one even home, and no one even answering the cell phones. Dani was 9, and had learned when she was six that life is not fair - her older siblings, Drew and Dria got in so much trouble that Mom and Dad and Aunt Claudia thought it was best to break up the family. That's why Dani and Aunt Claudia had separated from the family in the first place. Life's not fair, she learned. And now they were supposed to reunite and no one was home - or communicating? What had her siblings done now? Aunt Claudia turned to look at her, smiled weakly and said, "How about we go to the park for a bit? You can build a snowman or make snow-angels - the signs are saying it's snowman day today. Meanwhile I can get ahold of your Mom and Dad." Dani nodded, gritting her teeth. That was how she ended up here in the snow covered park, in a small corner by herself, sulking as she packed a small snowball, while Aunt Claudia tried reaching her brother and sister-in-law.

Today like most days her dad was busy with work. Which she didn't mind. She had grown accustom to doing things on her own. Plus her dad was always with her - after all he called every hour on the hour. He had her number and she had his. He was a lot closer than her mother. A mother she had only seen in photos. Since as far as she knew her mother loved her and was as adventurous as she was. Just the thought of that made her smile as she grabbed her locket. The one filled with her mother and father smiling brightly. It always warmed her heart she tucked it under her puffy jacket and scarf. As she quickly hurried to the snowy park. By herself or not she was not going to let a good snowy day get away from her. She quickly trudged through the snow covered park in her black boots. "So pretty!" she said under her scarf. Trying to figure out just what to do next.

Dani heard someone talking, and looked up to see another girl her age coming her way. A girl with the face of one forcing herself to be happy. And happy she seemed to be. Somehow Dani seemed to know that she would need a friend like that in the years to come - with her siblings... Dani straightened up, looked at the girl and said, "Hi." That was all.

Sabrina quickly looked around as she heard the hello. Thankful she was dragged out of her thoughts and turned all of her attention to the voice. It didn't take her long to notice another girl - around her age or so she guessed. She looked as though she was alone too. But playing with the pretty snow. Politely she waved in their direction with a smile, "Hi there. How are you doing?" It wasn't the best conversation starter but it was all she could think to say. After all it wasn't often she saw others her age around by themselves like she was. 'I wonder if her family is anything like mine,' she thought quietly. As she headed in their direction.

"Ok. I guess. You?" Dani looked away then back at the girl who looked quite chipper. She did not want to bring up today's subject; family. "You want to help me build this Snowman? I guess, in honor of Snowman Day?" chi Honda do you mind if we have them discuss Dani's family, and then have Drew and Dria show up (separately) near the end (they would not end credit)? I would just like for her to find them.

She could hear the tone only slightly but decided it best not to say anything. Since she wasn't sure if it would be right too. "About the same honestly." Which wasn't wrong - since she was out here on her lone after all. As she finally got near the other girl she took a seat in the snow and began to roll. "I'd love too! I haven't built one in a long time. Plus I've never heard of snowman day before, but then again I don't tend to pay that much attention to stuff like that." she finished with a slight laugh. It all sounded really fun and maybe this day away from the hotel was just what she needed. Some time to meet some new maybe friends? Sailor Hawk Definitely! Sounds fun to me. =)

Dani nodded with a faded smile, and began to pack the snow some more. Looking up, she noticed an older girl walking along the other edge of the park. "No waay!" It had been four years, but she'd know Dria anywhere!

Sabrina looked up and saw the elder girl as she continued to pack snow. She looked back and forth between the girls. They had a slight resemblance and from what she could tell the girl was happy to see her. Maybe it was her family. That would be awesome. She decided just to sit quietly. Not wanting to interrupt she just sat there quietly smiling and packing snow for the snowman she was determined to finish with her. Sailor Hawk Shes so quiet sometimes lol.

Dani was a bit upset. Peripherally, she noticed her new friend Sabrina getting quiet. "Dria! Xandria Nicole Bones!" Dria looked started and then saw Dani calling her. She had a blank look on her face. Coming over, she noticed quiet Sabrina and acknowledged her with a nod, then turned to Dani with a look of surprise. "You look a lot like me, and you know my name, is it possible, we are related? I am sorry, my memory is bad." Dani was in shock. "I know it's been 4 years, but I'd think you'd recognize your sister!" chi Honda ok thanks. remember Dria has no memory before four years ago XD, as far as she knows, she has no sister lol

Sabrina smiled as she finished up her part of the snowman. It was so perfectly round and plump. The perfect piece to add to their snowman. She put it down gently in front of her and watched as the two girls talked. When she heard the word sisters. It definitely made since in her mind at least with how they slightly resembled one another. Though the only thing she didn't get is how could someone not notice their sister. Not that it was her business but it was a little different. Just like her family. Not wanting to seem to quiet she spoke up a little bit, "Hello nice to meet you." Since her father always told her that it was rude at least not to say hello no matter how shy you were. After all customers would not like it if he didn't respond at the hotel to them.

Dria nodded to Sabrina and said, "Thank you, nice to meet you as well." She turned to look at Dani in alarm. "Sister?" She took a step back, pulled out a strange looking phone and dialed a number. "Drew? Do we have a younger sister?" There was a pause, a moment of confusion. There were all kinds of swearing heard on the other side. There was a brief pause and then a statement and he hung up. "He says that he'll be right here. Apparently, you are my sister. I guess." She turned to Sabrina, "Are you my sister too?" Dani looked at Dria in scrutiny. "What? Do you have Amnesia or something? You can't remember your own family?" She was angry and really was in disbelief. Dria cast her eyes down. "Yes. Long-term to Permanent Amnesia."

Amnesia that makes sense. She had forgot that happens to some people, well that and other times their minds are just hiding it. Almost like it's playing hide and go seek with their past memories. She hadn't ever had it happen to her, but she could only imagine how weird it must be.
Sabrina just sat there. She didn't know what she could do or say. Until she heard Dria. "Nah I'm afraid not, only child," she said with a nervous smile. "You seem to have a nice big family though," she said trying to maybe make the situation a little brighter. Since to her a big family sounded kinda nice. She herself didn't really have any family other than her father and hotel guests.
She rolled a little bit more snow for the snowman and placed it in front of her. She noticed dria cast her head down and wanted to say something. even if it wasnt the right thing to say.
"I'm sorry you have amnesia ... it cant be fun. though a lot of people have it. I mean I had a guests at my dads hotel that couldn't remember a lot, but he still seemed really happy. He even had a big family with him." it was a wonderful sight.

Dria nodded to Sabrina and grinned, "Thank you." Dani frowned, "You're kidding right?" Dria simply shook her head. Drew ran up, and found the three of them. "Oh man." He said breathing hard. "Did we mess up." Dani, cocked her head. "I'd say. So what happened to Dria?Hit her head or something? Must of been pretty hard." Drew looked at her pretty pretty hard, "You don't remember do you? And Claudia never told you?" Dani shook her head. Drew looked at Sabrina, "Hi, friend of Dani's? Sorry about the family mess." chi honda smile no problem, thanks smile

Sabrina smiled. She just wanted her to know that good things can come out of anything. and that she wasn't alone as corny as that sounded. She heard the older man speak and she just smiled before responding. "Oh hello and kind of. Well I hope we can be." Which was the truth. she didn't have many friends, but it would be nice to have one. Especially having met over snowman. "Oh and it's no problem at all. If you guys need some privacy I can go..." she said politely. She didn't want to intrude, but at the same time she was a little worried about Dani. She hated to just leave her, but if she wanted her to she would. Since she knew family matters could be tricky, at least in hers it was a little sticky at times.

chi honda Sorry just replaced my computer cord. Dani said to Rini, "Maybe you -" Drew cut her off. "Please stay, Dani is going to need a friend through this, a friend who knows what it going on." Drew asked Dani what she remembered of the flight, four years before. "It was chaos when we landed, but people started making order. Until someone, I think it was you Drew, asked 'Where's Dria?' Then there was panic, and all I remember that was me being stuck with Aunt Claudia, first for just a few days, but that turned into four years." Drew frowned. Dria looked away.
