OOC FICTIONAL PIECE OF WORK THIS RP IS BASED OFF: Legend of Lunaria's story, w/ permission from Kuro TITLE OF FICTIONS: Legacy of Lunaria CURRENT PRP SETTING: There was always war in Lunaria, but in the midst there was a bubble of peace. Now, the Noble faction has taken over ruling Lunaria and a small group of Legionnaires are fighting it. All children of Lunaria are born into one of the two factions, whichever their parents are from. The Noble children are born to money; their appearance and demeanor usually suggest as much. Legion kids are born into the power struggle and often fight just to survive in a world unwelcoming to them. As soon as they reach the age of 16, Lunaria's kids are typically and almost exclusively enrolled into the Academy where factions mingle. Upon graduation, they are divided into Fighters and Soul Conduits. Fighters will become proficient with their weaponry by the end of the academy, and eventually may be promoted into Captains. Soul Conduits are either Living Soul Conduits or Dead Soul Conduits; their power lies with their respective areas of expertise. Soul Conduits are rare. In this new era, the descendants of the oldest war find conflicts reignited. Lunarians are marked by scales and fin-like ears, either based on dragons or fish. They do not have other features until they are well into adulthood and become legendary-type creatures, at which point they get features such as horns, tails, claws, etc. In this particular ORP, please do not play this type! They were always the result of a LOT of RP and as such it would be weird to see one now. Thanks! The sun was setting on the worst day in recent memory. Fires still glowed on the horizon, consuming houses in the poorest districts and spreading quickly despite intervention. The weather was hot and sticky, furthering tempers and aggression between those who considered themselves downtrodden and those who found themselves, perhaps at no fault of their own, in positions of privilege. The day had not started this way.
It was a day of festivity: the anniversary of Lunaria becoming a Republic, free of influence from the royal family. Not everyone considered it a day of festivity, however. A small group was seeking to undo the hard work that had been done, because in their opinion, there was no sign of the equality they had been promised- though the fighting had stopped, the war was far from won, in their opinion.
The goal? To reignite the blood feud between factions. And regardless of what it took, by the end of this day they would see it reignited. To Make a Character into a Lunarian When you post roll 2d4. The first die: 1 & 3 = Legion alliance. 2 & 4 = Noble alliance. The second die: 2, 3, 4 : Fighter; 1 : Soul Conduit. ... You CAN choose to change the results of the first die but please adhere to the second!
Their appearance from TiH / Deus gains scales around face/shoulders/really wherever and they get finlike ears; see next post for examples of TiHers turned Lunarian.

[ Iyari ] Alliance: Noble Class: Fighter (Weapon: Su Yari (Spear) )
Peace was a concept far outside the realm of possibility for the Imperial City, if not all of Lunaria itself. Though, the hope was that days of festivity or holidays could bring them together enough that they could have moments of respite. Clearly things were not destined to be that way as there was always tension, but the Noble families were determined to make it a success.
Main street was always colorful, but on the anniversary day the colors seemed brighter, at least to Iyari. While her family was busy with the typical meetings, long dinners and other chatter she likely would fall asleep listening to. Not to say she wasn't proud, but she didn't do well with sitting still. Today was no different and she took to the market to enjoy the celebration. While the evening would call for her kimono, it was too constricting to properly enjoy it and she'd spent some time finding her yukata top and tight shorts underneath, making sure to wear her more comfortable sandals. Her long red hair was tied up behind her with feathers sticking out from it. Not entirely elegant, but it made sense, especially for getting some of the limited flavors of taiyaki.
She left the family estate later than she meant to, making her way down the hill off like homes and estates which were displaying flags as a way to show unity. Iyari's eyes wandered to view them and she put her hands behind her head thoughtfully. While she'd been told and taught that it was important to have a sense of patriotism, she'd also been told and taught about the stories of war and turmoil. It was like a distant storm out on the sea, slowly coming back in..
I hope they have the passion fruit one... The deep thoughts were abruptly cut into by the idea of the taiyaki and she wandered along the outer streets, following the brightly lit signs and banners overhead. "Wonder if anyone will be there...." While she was taking time away form the family, others she knew might have decided to stick with family for the day. It would make it awkward to try to hang out, but she was hoping to find someone at least...

Violetta - Legion - Fighter (Katana)
Unspoken threats had been circulating the streets for weeks, whispers in alleyways, promises of uprising and revenge. The fragile peace could only last so long - like everything else it would shatter, it did not take a prophet to see that.
Violetta, an orphan who had been raised by priests, was all too aware of the bad blood that existed between the old factions. The temple she called home was an old Legionary strong point and it had since then become a refuge for those seeking sanctuary and escape from prosecution after the Emperor's disappearance.
The young student did not know what to expect from tonight - but was cautiously anxious; she kept her weapon concealed under her kimono, the katana pressing against her spine and forcing her to stand straight. The feeling was not helping to put her at ease, not that she ever felt at ease in such formal dress.
White hair was loose and lavender eyes scanned the crowed as she followed after her brothers and sisters, not of blood, but of upbringing. Many had been left alone after the war; be it from parental passing or established families being so harshly punished they could not longer afford to raise their young.
Violetta’s family was one of the later, once a wealthy house, now with a name that held no influence within the city. Her parents were one of the many to flee the capital fearing execution, she was left behind. Luckily sanctuary could still be found in holy grounds, the temple was never raided; maybe because of the reputation of the Priestess that used to live there.
Turning a corner she caught sight of someone familiar; a face she recognised from the Academy. “Iyari.” She spoke out as she approached her classmate, separating herself from her family; despite being trained in the same grounds the two had never talked much.
“You are not alone tonight, are you?” She asked. Odd wording perhaps, a subtle suggestion that it was not the best idea. Violetta looked behind her, to see her loved ones had already disappeared into the crowd. She frowned.
Maybe she was just being paranoid, hopefully so.
