Appearance: Chernobylite is a tall but thin gem with waist long hair. Her skin and hair is a glossy black like her gem and her body is very angular. Her eyes and mouth both glow with a white light but are both usually closed. She has two circular marks on her palms that glow like her eyes. Etched across her body are white lines that glow when Chernobylite uses her power or conjures her weapon. Chernobylite's clothing is a flowing robe inscribed with white runes in the gem language. On her chest is a White Diamond symbol. She never walks and instead floats above the ground.
Personality: Chernobylite is a thinking gem. She favors intellectual pursuits over the more brutish pursuits of the warrior caste. She is a very aloof gem towards other gems unless they interest her or are White Diamond. She loves reading and writing and possesses a tendency to steal literature from planets that are colonized. As such she is one of the most well read gems befitting her position as a scholar.
Alignment: White Diamond
Abilities: Chernobylite is a powerful long ranged fighter who is capable of projecting highly concentrated light. She can project and shape this light into a myriad of solid forms or just shoot it out as a blast or beam. While Chernobylite is unaffected by the light it is very dangerous to other entities as the light releases large amounts of heat and radiation when summoned and while gems aren't affected by radiation most organic doesn't fair as well. In addition, when Chernobylite's form is poofed or reconstructed it releases a fair amount of rads.
Weapon: Chernobylite does not have a weapon but can shape her light into any number of forms to do battle with. Her favorite is a long ranged spear that releases all it's energy upon striking something. She will conjure multiple and shoot them at the target from long range. Against target's in melee Chernobylite with shape a shining blade of white light that cuts and burns in equal parts.

Bio/History: Chernobylite was originally a pearl meant to replace one that White Diamond had lost in a failed assassination attempt by the native people of one of her colony worlds. The native people of that world were developed enough to possess nuclear weapons and dumb enough to use them on parts of their own planet. Chernobylite's kindergarten was hit by one of these bombs but Chernobylite was buried deeper than her siblings and was able to survive the blast with only a large alteration to her gem. The radiation and heat had changed her gem from a pearl to a strange form of volcanic glass similar to obsidian. She emerged from the kindergarten and wandered the planet of her birth unknowingly spreading radiation to everything she touched. White Diamond eventually got word of this and had Chernobylite collected. White Diamond originally kept Chernobylite in her court for the uniqueness and to show off to the other diamonds. During this time Chernobylite quickly consumed every bit of knowledge she came into contact with eventually becoming an accomplished scholar and thinker. She is often sent to assist with missions on the behest of White Diamond
