Shopping for anything at this time of year can be downright crazy. Stores are filled to the brim and people have broken out into fighting over--what, things? The best deal on jewelry, the newest toy craze. Honestly, no one sane should be out right now.
But, for some reason, here you are. Something out there compelled you to join these crowds--so what is it? Why did you brave this busy time of the year to shop? Are you one of the many looking for that one perfect gift? Or did you just so happen to run out of toilet paper at the same time someone started a major sale? Whatever it is that's got you out--just be careful; those crowds are dangerous!

This was really not a good time to be out Arian found himself thinking. It was not the first time he had had such a thought today and it was very unlikely to be the last - especially when he was having to do things like avoid the shopper with the precariously packed overfull trolley charging down the aisle like they were on a mission or skirt round the fight that had broken out in the toy department over the latest ‘must have’ toy.
Still whilst Arian could have done without being out, it wasn’t something that he’d been able to avoid - at least not once Saffy had roped him into helping her with some sort of secret santa thing that she doing at work.
Unfortunately he had about four days to come up with something and he had used up most of his beading supplies working on a present for Gigi. It was her 21st this year and so he had decided to make her a necklace and bracelet set.
And also whilst he was out Arian figured that he might as well make a start on his actual Christmas shopping too…
Even though it was something that he had quickly come to regret and something that Arian wasn’t sure how long he would be able to hold out before deciding to do the sane thing and give up for the day, particularly as he had already picked up the beads he needed.
He was passing the electronics section where yet another argument appeared to have broken out over something that he wasn’t going to even attempt to get close enough to find out about when Arian spotted the curly brown-haired woman.
A familiar curly brown-haired woman given that Arian had been thinking about her not so long ago.
"Gigi!" He called out, his hand rising in a slight wave at his friend.
