{prompt] It was like any other light, winter snow. It was chilly and clouds hung in the sky but if you looked up you could swear you could still see the stars. The snow falls gently and coats the ground in a light layer--but these aren't normal snowflakes. Mixed in with the regular snow, crystalized snowflakes seem to be falling. These are roughly the size of a quarter and are light and hollow. They are fragile, like glass, but glisten like a fine cut gem. No one can explain this anomaly, but these small snowflakes won't melt. And they are all over Destiny City. You can find them gently falling to the ground, or lying in the fresh fallen snow. They don't seem evil--but they do make for some cute keepsakes!Dria had taken some time out of her homework filled day to go see a new park. Well relatively new - it had been put together in the fall, and she hadn't had the time to see it. It was now December and snow covered the area. It was still beautiful though. In a freezing sort of a way. Dria smiled, despite herself and decided to get some exercise. Why not skip? After all, she thought, t'was the season to be Jolly. And who cared who saw her? It was the Christmas Season. She started skipping, and whistling Christmas Carols.

Shiloh wasn't sure just how happy he was to be out in the snow. It was a throw up of feelings; on one hand, he enjoyed the cold, loving the excuse to hide behind layer after layer after layer of warm clothing on the other hand, people tended to huddle together way too close when walking. He couldn't keep hiding inside forever, not when there was a big ol' basket of toys to drop off at the local hospital. Just yesterday he had finished putting the finishing touches on his last little stuffed octopus, and with it, he reached his goal of one hundred toys before Christmas. Surely at least one of them would make a child happy, and that's what he longed for. Hence here he was, out and about, clutching to a box that was surprisingly big and walking down the pathway to the hospital. The box had been far too large to take on the bus, and he wouldn't dare bother any of his cousins for a ride. Unfortunately, with the box so close to his face, it took only a matter of moments before his own warm breath fogged up his lenses and he was walking blind. Then he walked right into someone skipping down the pathway, causing him to drop his box on his foot. "Ow!" He yelped, more surprised than anything, then immediately scrambled over to the person he had bumped into. "I-I'm sorry! Are you alright?"

After being knocked to the ground suddenly, Dria was in a little bit of shock. The older boy had asked if she was alright, she nodded, and then looked up at him. Her face reddened and she looked away, shy. Dude, she told herself. He's way too old for me, he's in college, for goodness's sake. But then why do I feel like this? And those red curls are so cute! She nodded and started to get up slowly and helped pick up out the toys, "Wow, this is a lot of toys, are they going somewhere for Christmas?" She smiled.

Whatever thoughts that were going through Dria's head were lost on Shiloh, for he thought only of how horrifying it was for him to have done such a thing! How could he have been so careless?! He wanted to disappear, to just gather up all of his toys and vanish back to his little apartment where he wouldn't have to show his face for the next few weeks. But he could not. There were little ones depending on him... "Y-yes Miss! I was heading to the hospital... Donations that I made..." After making sure that the young woman was alright, he smiled nervously, placing the toys in the box once more. It was then he noticed that the snowflakes would not melt, no matter how warm his hand was... "Ah... Strange... They do not melt... Have you noticed this too, Miss?"

Dria blushed. "I'm no miss, I'm only fifteen. My name is Dria." She looked at the donations he made. "Wow. You made all these yourself? They're very good. And you're giving them all to Charity? How sweet!" Having been in a foster home herself for four years- well she was really starting to like this guy. Their wedding would have Gold, Black and Blue- hold on, she just met the guy, it was too early to be having wedding thoughts. He asked about the snow. How it was strange. Snow strange? In this town anything could be strange. She looked down at some, and sure enough it was. A snowflake that wasn't even made of but crystal. It was beautiful. She'd have to take one to Drew. "Very strange." She replied, as she slipped one into her pocket. "But beautiful." She admired them for a minute, then turned to the young man. Hmm, would you mind sir, if I helped you deliver these presents? See not too long ago, I was on the receiving end of Charity and I haven't had the chance to give back. I would appreciate it."

"I wish we had met in slightly better circumstances, Dria... I'm Shiloh, and again, I'm sorry for having knocked you down..." He only managed a small nod after she asked him about making the gifts, before brushing the snow off the last few. Once all of the small toys were safely boxed up, he stood up again, hefting up the large package and balancing it as before. Just like earlier, his glasses fogged up, and he found himself unable to see a single thing. A brief panic came over him while he struggled to figure out what to do in this situation. He could remove his glasses but with such horrible eyesight that was just asking for another situation like this. And leaving them on was hardly any better... As horrible as he was with the company of people he did not know, Shiloh let out a sound of relief at Dria's offer. "T-that would be very kind of you, thank you... I can't really see, my glasses keep fogging up... If you could lead me to the hospital, and make sure that I don't crash into anyone else, I-I would very much appreciate it..."

Shiloh, what a beautiful name for a wonderful guy, Dria thought, I wish he would stop apologizing - it's perfectly alright. "No harm done. Now, let's get these toys to the hospital. How would you like me to guide you? Shall I take your elbow in my hand, or should I guide you by voice?" Dria smiled and hoped her smile was in her voice.

Already Shiloh's glasses had begun to fog up, obscuring everything in sight. There was no choice, and he gave his right elbow a little wiggle. "My arm, if you would not mind... I truly, truly do appreciate your assistance.. I am sure these will make it in time for the holidays; these kids could really use the pick-me-up, I'm sure.."

Dria took his elbow gently, led him off to the hospital. She made a mental note to call Drew when she gat there, let him know she was alright, also to let him in on the snowflake oddity. She might even let him in on her new crush - there was a gleam in her eye. All the children loved their gifts. All too soon it was time to go - her parents came to pick her up - They were proud of her. Kapoodles Is this ok? If it is, is it ok that I make my fin here?

Shiloh truly appreciated Dria's help. The place ended up being far closer than he had anticipated. Maybe if he got some fog-proof glasses he would have noticed, and he wouldn't have had to bother this young woman for assistance. But with her kindness, he managed to make it there with plenty of time to spare and dropped the toys off with one of the nurses. He wasn't invasive enough to watch her go around and give them out, but he did sit back and listen from a seat in the hallway and hear the sounds of happiness all about him. What a wonderful feeling that was! With a small, gentle smile, Shiloh thanked Dria, and praised her parents for having such a kind young woman for a daughter. And with that, he waved her off again, content with how the day went down... Now to figure out how to get back home. Sailor Hawk If you have enough words, then sure!
