OOC FICTIONAL PIECE OF WORK THIS RP IS BASED OFF: JourneyTITLE OF FICTIONS: The High Desert CURRENT PRP SETTING: This takes place within the world of the game Journey. Typically, only 2 players/Journey'ers will meet up at a time. But something seems to have happened that allows multiple people to meet... In Journey, please keep in mind that no one can talk out loud. The only way to communicate is by body movements and "pinging" other players. Look up any playthrough videos for an example if you don't understand. Typically first-time Journey'ers wear red robes with no designs on the hem. As you make more Journeys you gain designs. Those who have found all the secrets of the world wear white robes. Check out this reference. Journey'ers also all get a scarf that contains magic they can use to fly for short periods of time. Red robes scarves only charge up when they interact with other cloth creatures (see below). White robes scarves charge up anytime they are on the ground. This seems like a great perk, but please don't play as a white robe unless you actually know the game! White robes are often considered to be guides to the red robes. There are several other creatures roaming the desert as well, made out of magical cloth. These include... "Fish" -- small flat pieces of singular cloth "Dolphins" -- more shaped cloth The goal is to free enough of these creatures that they will carry the players to the next area of the game. To unlock a group of creatures, roll 1d100. Any roll of 80 or above will free them - player may choose which type they free. After 10 groups have been freed the players have made it out of the Desert. The sun was slowly setting over the mountain in the distance, turning the sand different shades of gold all around him. His white robes shimmered in the light, a breeze blowing them about his legs. Peering over the sands, he started forward and channeled magic through his robes to fly up to the top of a dune. There he paused, and pinged out loudly to see if anyone else was in the area with him.

Aksaja -- red robe, third one over -------------------------- Okay, so now what? He seemed to have entered some kind of huge... desert. How exciting. He had been seriously hoping that the bridge he'd just rebuilt (with cloth of all things??) would lead somewhere more exciting. With a sigh, the red robe looked around... And actually spotted another person. In a white robe. Curious, he drifted closer, flying only a little bit because he didn't see any cloth creatures around right at the moment to recharge with. Once he was almost right behind the other person, he pinged at them. Wonder if he'd manage to scare them...? Hehehe...

Ernest -- your friendly white robe guide -------------------------- Ern jumped a little at the loud chime having been taken off his guard. The delicate feet of the golem tripped in the sand sending him face first into the dunes. Flailing slightly, he leaped back to his feet shaking the sand quickly from his hood before it resettled against him. Spinning about, he saw the laughing red coat and the tiny white 'speaking' rune blinking around his dark face. He flared his coat in anger, the staircase looking symbol marking his rapid pings flaring above him with each sound. Turning his back dramatically to the stranger, Ern scanned the bleak golden dunes before him and the mountain of light off in the distance. He let a low, deep chime as he began to walk towards the light.

Aksaja -- red robe, third one over -------------------------- Aksaja pinged at the other again, his own symbol looking like two tall arches or doorways. It was perhaps meant to be an apology, but who could be sure...? Jumping up just a little, he moved close to the white coat to take advantage of his magic - able to absorb some of it to recharge his own scarf. Then instead of walking forward, he flew ahead of the other to the top of a tall dune. He looked about for any ruins or indication that there were trapped cloth creatures but saw nothing. Still, he pinged at the other to hurry up. They weren't going to get out of here by walking around slowly everywhere.

Ernest -- your friendly white robe guide -------------------------- "So impatient," Ern mentally hissed shaking his head again. He flapped his coat and took to the air drifting halfway up the imposing dun in front of the pair. Chirps drifted through the air as he waited for the red coat to follow up the mountain of sand. He spotted a wafting cloth half buried in the sand. Drawing on his energy, the white coat fell to a crouch. Pinging as loudly as the white coat could muster, a large, square creature shook the sand off of it chirping madly. It circled the white coat before swimming down the dune to assist the red.

Aksaja -- red robe, third one over -------------------------- The red coat was struggling a bit by the time the cloth creature got to him and pinged at it and the white coat both gratefully. Thedolphin-like creature recharged his scarf, allowing him to fly to the top of the dune. Once there, he spun in the air a couple of times - mostly just playing around. In doing so, he completely wasn't even looking for more creatures to save. Flying around randomly was so much more fun.

Ernest -- your friendly white robe guide -------------------------- Ern watched as the cloth creature assisted the red coat up the dune. As the other spun and chirped happily, Ern found himself closing his eyes and shaking his hooded head. Flaring his cape a little to tuck it in closer to his body, the white cloak moved to the edge of the dune and looked down. Shivering with pent up emotions, not talking was proving to be difficult, he let out a low ping before leaping into the air. As his delicate feet hit the sand he slid down the hill as gracefully as he could manage pinging frantically as if either shouting or screaming. No creatures answered him, however.

Aksaja -- red robe, third one over -------------------------- The red coat spun once more in the air and then slid down after the white coat, though not quite in as straight a line. Instead, he wove back and forth and once he was close to the bottom, he jumped to sail over the other's head, also calling out. When nothing answered him either, he stopped and shook sand from his robe. Then he sat down in a sad fashion, staring at the desert dunes.

Ernest -- your friendly white robe guide -------------------------- Shaking sand from his robes, Ern turned to see the other had followed. He tilted his head to the side as the red robe sat sadly in the golden sands. The cloth dolphin-like creature chirped in concern as it circled the red robed stranger. With a couple of low pings, the white robe moved to the stranger's side. He fluttered and spun around the other as if in play hoping that he would get back up and continue on.

Aksaja -- red robe, third one over -------------------------- The obvious concern of both the cloth creature and the white coat made him look up almost instantly. With a soft ping of his own, the red coat got back to his feet and flapped his robes, following the white coat into the air for a few moments. Then he landed again and shook sand off the hem of his robes, re-inspired to search for more trapped creatures. Perhaps a different direction... spinning, he took off toward a different sand dune.
