Quote: Strange snow flurries have been blowing through town, frosting entire buildings. Sometimes they come out of nowhere--overnight, or in the timespan of just a few short hours. Snow falls rapidly and ice coats doors and window, sealing them shut. These snow flurries are knocking out power, and worse--trapping people in buildings and cars. If one of these flurries hits, where do you wind up? Amigar was wrapped in a warm coat. It was puffy and fluffy and all around warm. It was the perfect outfit for a cold day. As she headed towards the door. It was only light flurries for now but she had heard on the news that it was destined to get worse. So all bundled up she threw on her boots with the faux fur inside and opened her door. It was mission time and her one mission was firewood.
Since her parents were gone until Christmas Eve it was her job to keep the houses fires lite. Not only here but in the bakery as well. And as luck would have it - they ran out just as the flurries began to hit. So as she exited it was with that goal in mind she ventured into the streets - hoping to beat the bad part of it and be home with fire wood as soon as she could.

Today was just a normal day for Sabrina Luna as she walked around town. While she may be young she tried her best to help her dad whenever she could. He made her dress like a winter balloon today though to stay warm with her puffy jacket and all. It was kinda hard to walk in but after the first couple minutes she was able to learn how to handle it.
Slowly she reached her gloved hands into her pocket and pulled out the checklist of things she needed to get for the hotel. Hmm it read normal items like a box of carrots, some coco mix, and some children snacks which meant gummies or some other loved kids snacks. After that it was some more winter related things like fire wood. Since with the winter time here it was more busy than ever at the inn and everyone like literally everyone wanted to use their rooms fireplaces. and that meant lots of wood.
Now not every kid her age would do things like this but she couldn't stand to see her dad suffer from exhaustion. So she wanted to light his load whenever she could.
As she walked towards her first stop fire wood. She tried to hurry as best she could. Since little did she know there was a bit of a storm headed her way but she didn't really watch the news so how was she to know. It was only a few more blocks till she was there. "I'm almost there," she said with a smile as she slipped the list back into her pocket.

Amigar had finally reached her destination. The place that sold fire wood. It wasn't a massive building, but they definitely knew how to decorate. It was something she always thought quite beautiful with all the flickering christmas lights and wreaths. It could warm ones hearts easily. As she walked into the doors and felt a slight warm sensation from getting out of the cold into the heat. She was so glad this place hadn't been hit yet. Maybe the news was wrong? She slowly pulled down her scarf as she walked in.
Now this place kinda knew her and her family pretty well. Since they had always bought their wood from them. Even before she could remember even remember. She waved at the workers as she walked in and began to look at the wood options this year. They had so many pieces of wood as she looked around. The wood all looked a little different as she looked around her eyes focused more on the wood then the floor or people around. Like always. She always focused on the task a little more than anything.

Luna could see the lights as she got closer. The building always stuck out pretty easily. She rubbed her hands together and she quickly walked into the buildings sliding doors.
Finally warmness. She unzipped the top of her coat from her face as she felt like she could breathe for the first time since she started her list hunt. Now she had done this a few times. Though she looked around and was relieved to see a few faces she remembered from all the times she had come here with her dad in the past. Everyone here was super sweet and it was a family owned business like her dads hotel so they never questioned why she was here verse him during holiday break.
She quickly waded through the crowd to try and find the smokey firewood they normally used. it didn't take her long though to find it. just when she was reaching for the order tag someone knocked her right over onto the ground. "oww..." she said as she hit the ground on her butt

Amigar turned around as soon as she felt herself bump into something. As she heard a noise she looked straight at the ground behind her. Their was a young girl. "Oh my gosh!! I'm so Sorry..." she quickly reached her hand out to the young girl to try and help her out. Man her air head-ness had done it again. She had not only run into someone but a little girl at that. How could she not see her she thought to herself.
And to make matters worse just as she reached out to help the girl. The snow flurries she had heard about must of hit. Since the power began to flick on and off. and she heard a loud boom - which she assumed was the heater in the building.

Luna just looked up at the hand outreached to her. She quickly reached up to grab it and pull herself up. She herself had noticed the commotion too. Though she first took the time to get to her feet and quickly dust off her clothes. "It's okay," she said with a smile to the older girl. She knew accidents happened and after all she was kinda short.
"Umm.. if you don't mind me asking...What's happening?" she said as she looked around at the powered out store. Since she saw all the others around in a slight panic. All she came here for was wood. This would definitely slow down her small shopping trip.

She was super thankful that the little girl didn't appear to be hurt. A huge sigh was let out of her mouth. Since she didn't like hurting people like that. It wasn't sweet in the least.
As she listened to the young girl she quickly answered, "I think it has to do with the snow flurries. They said on the news that it could easily frost over everything from power to doors." as she finished she looked around. With all the commotion and people in a panic she realized that they may be here for a bit. Well at least she could make the most of it.
"Oh and I'm Amigar by the way. My parents run the large french bakery down the street," she said with a smile, "That's actually why I was here. To pick up some fire wood. But looks like my plan didn't go as I hoped..." she tried to laugh a bit. Since this was probably not the best situation for anyone to be in, but it's not like there was anything they could do about it. Right?

Luna listened and nodded. All of the info she was hearing made sense to her. Maybe this was why people watched the news to learn facts like these. She would have to take notes of that in her mind for next time. It could help with future mysteries. Though looking around some more she realized even though she was probably the youngest here. Some other people hadn't watched the news either.
She turned as she listened to her speak. It was kinda cool info to learn her parents actually owned a business too. "Oh cool. Well I'm Sabrina Luna. Though you can call me Luna," her half smile showed slightly as she tried to be friendly. Her dad had warned her about strangers but to her this girl wasn't any danger she was far to nice to be. Even nicer than her teachers at school.
She continued. "That's funny. I'm actually here for me parents business - my dad owns a hotel a few blocks to the left and we ran out of firewood. So i came to grab some for him."
It was good that even though she was probably stuck for a least a couple more minutes longer than she planned. She was here with good company.

A girl whose parents owned a business too. Now that wasn't something she heard every day. It was actually kinda interesting. Plus it was a different business than what her parents owned. A hotel and a bakery were in two different categories but they both served the same ideals. Please the customers.
"How awesome!" she said excitedly. She didn't even think to ask about why she was out here by herself. Since she remembered helping her parents out as a young child too. It was a normal thing to her even if society saw it as dangerous.
"I've never met a hotel owner before. Do you guys have a lot of people come there? I mean our bakery is swarmed for the holidays. My family can never can seem to get a break." she said curious as always.

Luna got a little more relaxed as she heard the girls interest in her family's hotel. Most people thought it was boring. To find someone who didn't see thought it was pretty cool and on top of it. She didn't talk to her like she was 5, which she definitely appreciated. Since if people would ever give her a chance like this. They would see she understood quiet well.
"Yeah. We are packed right now. I mean the wood disappeared in just a couple of hours. So I thought maybe I could help my dad out and come orders some more to give him a break," she nodded in understand the no breaks it felt like her and her dad were always running around. "That's nice of you to get them wood though. What is your bakery like? I don't think i've ever been to it before."

The power and heat were slowly coming back on line as the storm passed through. Amigar didn't even notice though since she got to talk about her prized possession her family's bakery.
"That's super sweet of you. I'm sure he appreciates all the help, but man you guys must have a lot of people there right now." she thought about it for a moment. But for that much wood to be disappearing that hotel must be full or close to full. How amazing. Her eyes sparkled thinking about it. since she knew that meant people loved the place just like when their bakery was full.
"Oh well I mean someones got to do it. why not right?" she giggled sweetly before continuing, "Oh well you have to stop by sometime! If you do its totally on me! Just let them know when you come in. but it's just a french bakery that looks like a winter wonderland right now. Our desserts are french wonders it's almost like your in France when you step in." as she finished she smiled at the thought. It was kinda amazing.

The power was finally all the back on. Thankful the storm hadn't lasted long. Though she kinda wished it had. She was enjoying her talk.
"Well someone has to help him I mean why not me. Plus I love the hotel - it's my home." she said happily. "You could always stop in to if you'd like. I could give you a tour it's not like any hotel you've seen before." With that she reached in her right pocket and handed the last business card she had to Amigar.
"Well thank you. I'd love to stop by sometime." she said with a smile. After all she loved desserts but she had never had a french one before. It sounded magical to her ears. Especially the french Christmas wonderland part. "Though it looks like everything is fixed now. I guess we should place those orders before we get stomped on."
As she finished her last words she then reached for an order tag with the lights and heat on full blast. Filling it out quickly before the rush came back. Even though her heart still didn't want to leave not yet anyways.

She looked around and finally noticed the power was back on. "Aww..." she thought quietly... couldn't it stay off for a little longer. she was actually having fun. Just her luck she thought sadly.
She kindly took the business card and tucked it into her bag. She would definitely be stopping by. It sounded like a fun place to check out.
"I definitely will stop in sometime!" She nodded making her thoughts heard, "Though yeah it looks like your right. We probably should. it's about to get crazy in here i'm sure."
she also reached for a tag for the sweet scented wood right next to hers and filled out all the info. Before handing it to the nearest person who worked there. Before looking at her watch. She was here like way late she needed to get back before the customers showed up. or no one could get in.
"It was nice meeting you though Luna and I super enjoyed our talk. I hope to see you again sometime. Maybe even at the bakery!" she said with a smile and wave before heading slowly like very slowly to the door. "I'll have a dessert ready with your name on it!"

Luna smiled brightly back and waved. "Nice meeting you too Amigar and I promise I'll stop by sometime." Her goodbye was brief but she would never forget this encounter. Since she doubted it would be there last.
She quickly handed her tag to the nearest person and let them know she needed it asap. Before she to ran out turning to the right and to her final mission. To finish the list.
