All it takes is one bad seed to ruin the bunch. What should have been the highlight of the Destiny City Botanical Garden's Winter Extravaganza turned into a nightmare; their newly unveiled Winter Star Poinsettias had come to life and attacked! While there were no casualties and no severe injuries, many guests of the Botanical Gardens suffered slices from the razor-sharp leaves of the poinsettias and mild to severe bruising. That wasn't even the worst of it, though.

During the final battle, a blinding flash of light that spread across Destiny City left some with temporary blindness or difficulties seeing. Pollen fell like glittery snow across the city, afflicting many people with a strange winter-time 'allergy'. Anyone who inhaled the pollen may find themselves sneezing frequently, especially around a strong smell. They may also find themselves suffering from flu-like symptoms such as fever, coughing, fatigue, and nausea. No medicine relieves these ailments, however all symptoms will gradually disappear over the next week.

It doesn't seem to be contagious, but it's probably a good idea to take your vitamins anyway...

Emily was not in a good mood, at all. First a bonding night went awry just as she was trying to learn Something New. Then, not one or two nights later, she was attacked and beaten very badly by two corrupts. Their corruption was still on her concience and she had woken up this morning feeling terrible.

It began with the itchy throat and runny nose. Both were not serious alone, but the normal habit of drinking copious amounts of water did nothing for the senshi's throat, and by noon she was light headed and dizzy, and soon made her way back to bed. No, evening was the worst part.

She was sick, in bed, and quite frankly glad Flynn knew better than to bring the baby by. The past several hours, she could hear lullaby versions of Metallica trailing through the wall, lulling her into naps before she would wake, fever unroken, Really, she wished it would pass. She felt miserable and she couldn't go out, to Albert's delight. The thought alone earned a hearty '******** you' from Emily's mind as the young woman burrowed once more in her blankets, groaning.

She just wanted to die already. Die and be forgotten by all and live in... Whatever was next and ******** THOSE DEMONIC HELLPLANTS. Even her wonder was better than this, and the senshi in civilian skin grumbled, whining as her door opened and the scent of spiced chicken soup filled the air.

"Hello aunt Emily." Came the begrudging greeting.

Emily Wiley, the elder, chuckled as she entered Wrenny's room, the namesake woman sitting by her neice's bed as miserable blue eyes quite like her father's when ill stared sullently, Emily placing the bowl of soup and a croissant by her bed, smiling.

"Good evening dear one. Might you sit up to eat a bit of supper?" Emily coaxed. Wren's response to her aunt was to grumble, Emily Wren Wiley refusing to do more than roll over, earning a tsking noise. The elder Emily pulled her upright some, despte weak struggles before shoving a spoonful of soup in hr neie's mouth, Wrenny whimpering pitiously as she ate it at lastm slowly.

"Mmnnnoooo....." She whined. Her aunt sighed.

"Wren dear, you won't get well if you don't eat. And it will aid your sinuses." Emily insisted. Emily Wren grumbled softly, but nodded, slowly taking small bites before grumbling, shoving the spoon away.

Emily accepted Emily Wren's refusal, the younger woman closing her eyes as her aunt stroked her hair, and she finally cried.

"Don't feel good at all aunt Emily..." She sobbed. "Feel like Flynn's butts."

The younger Wiley continued to cry, the elder stroking her hair. She didn't know why Emily Wren was so upset, but she did know she was upset, and the elder Emily sat, pulling her niece into her arms to rock, the younger coughing and burrying her face into Emily to sob at the same time.

"Wrenny, sweetiebird... You'll be alright..." Emily soothed. "Everything will be alright."

All Wren could do was nod, coyughing once more before burying in her aunt.

Emily Wren Wiley was many things. Okay and healthy, for now, were not among them.
