Amigar loved the holidays! It was her favorite time of year. With all the giving - different desserts - and Cherrie feel around the neighborhood. Christmas was definitely here and she was ready for it. This year was a little different though since not only were her parents home for the holidays, but also her bakery was having a Christmas Party! Now it wasn't just any Christmas party it was a french party - one themed around their bakery and one which everyone would have a part in. Bakers, severs, cashiers, and even her family. She was so happy especially when after she finished her decorations around the store - she was given a slip of paper. It said Jon' Cashmere - likes Desserts, Coffee, and traveling. She turned her head to the side at the waiter who handed her the slip of paper. "What is this for?" she asked. With a smile the server explained about the Secret Santa Exchange that the associates had set up as kind of a way to introduce new people and old people alike.
Just hearing about it made her grin up a storm. It was right up her alley and Jon' sounded wonderful. The only thing she wasn't sure about was what she could get him. She knew he was a baker but she hadn't ever really had a chance to truly run into him. So she quickly but up the ladder and extra decorations she was using and ran out the door. It was time for a gift adventure!
She quickly raced into the department stores. This was her first stop due to the fact she kinda already knew one gift that her gift basket of wonders had to have and that was a ordement. She scowered the shelves until she found the perfect ordement. It was a french dessert with the effiel tower behind it. It had swirls and reminded me just of how the restaurant was and how all the people were. Its what made it the place to work for. She raced to the counter, had them put it in a giftbag and ran off out of the store. next stop was michaels - to grab a holiday green wicker basket, some christmas grass, some poinsettias to wrap around the basket and some clear snowflake wrap to wrap around it. Once she got all of that she headed to her next place and then her next.
Once she had everything ready she raced home and began to build the secret santa basket. It was so much fun the basket began to come to life and tell a story. A story of a dessert chief, who loved french coffee ( a bag of unground coffee beans with a grinder and mug), a personalized recipe book, the ordement she had gotten with his name added to it, and photo-book from around the world (so that he could choose his next wonder to visit). All wrapped nicely in snowflakes and a red bow and covered in poinsettias on a green basket. The gift was complete and it was super fun. Now she didn't know if he'd like it but she hoped with all her heart that he would. As she picked up the gift basket and slowly walked out the door to the restaurant. (552 words to here)
