OOC

FICTIONAL PIECE OF WORK THIS RP IS BASED OFF: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

TITLE OF FICTIONS: Let's Make Friends!
CURRENT PRP SETTING: Ponyville and surrounding areas~

For whatever reason, you're stuck in Ponyville for a few days. Or maybe you live there? Regardless, the town seems overly crowded with ponies right now. So it should be easier than ever to meet new people and make friends! Right?!

Princess Twilight and her crew are currently all away on some mission or other, no one really knows what's going on with them lately.

Create a Pony!

If you like, you can use this pony maker to create a pony based on your character.

Even if you don't make a pony image, you should totally give your character a Pony-ish name. Aksaja is going to be Lightning Flash

Lightning Flash hopped off the train in Ponyville with a sigh. He had been trying to get to Manehatten, but it seemed like they had to do some work on the tracks or something, so he was stuck here for the next few days. He really didn't care about this tiny place, despite the fact that the new Princess lived here and had a huge castle outside of town and blah blah blah. He ignored the other passengers chattering on about how this would be a wonderful opportunity to do some sightseeing and headed into the town itself.

After wandering around a little bit, he discovered that this podunk town didn't even have any kind of hotels. What in the world was someone visiting supposed to do? Just approach a random stranger and ask to stay in their house? With a sigh, Lightning decided to worry about where he'd sleep later and get some lunch.

He backtracked a little to some kind of burger place and headed inside to order some food.

Moonlight Hunter had work to do.

It was Zap Apple harvest time again, and that meant the Timberwolves over in Everfree Forest were more vicious than usual. Howling at all hours, disturbing the townsfolk. They'd even made a recent habit of skulking around the treeline - who knows what havoc they'd cause if they actually grew bold enough to venture out?

That, of course, was where Hunter came in. Critter-buster and nuisance-clearer extraordinaire, at Ponyville's service. The mayor had called her in to deal with the wolves, and her offer was generous... Even if, technically, she'd called and paid for Hunter and her whole crew to do the job.

She couldn't quite remember, but she could have sworn that she'd informed the guys about the gig. Made sense that she would have, anyway, since - daring and mighty as she was, for sure - Hunter wasn't exactly thrilled to fight a forest full of wolves on her own. For whatever reason, however, she was the only one who showed up. And with the train down and out, her chances at getting any backup anytime soon were looking depressingly dismal.

Hunter snorted her frustration, glaring over her nose at the ice cream and shake in front of her. This burger place was nice enough, but this drown-my-sorrows-in-strawberry-praline snack had probably been a waste of bits. If she didn't find a way to handle her little issue, she'd be running a little low on funds for a while. Probably running quite far from Ponyville, too.

Was it weird that a modest little town of ponies had a burger shop?

No. No, certainly not. What a weird question. 280

Lightning poked at his hay burger a bit dispiritedly. The food was good enough - I mean it was okay for a small town joint - but he was still disappointed that he was stuck here. He like the bustle of the city more, the action to be found there... the potential to cause mischief. Even if they were technically gone right now, he had heard of the Princess Twilight and her crew. And he rather doubted that they'd put up with anyone starting trouble in their town. They were likely to magically appear if something like that happened. Sigh.

Glancing over toward the door, he spotted a pony coming in that also didn't look like she belonged around here. For one, she had sharp teeth and looked disgruntled about something. In contrast to the natives, who all looked far too happy in his opinion. Raising his head up a little, he waved a hoof at her. "Not from around here either?"

At first, Hunter didn't even bother lifting her head from the table. Instead, the voice addressing her would get a single golden eye flicked in his direction. "Not even remotely," she admitted. "Is it that obvious?"

Hunter sat up, rolling her shoulders and turning to face the pegasus. A slight smile highlighted a protruding canine. Pretty striking dude - kind of a relief in comparison to the rest of Ponyville. Everyone here was so...pastel. "I came over from Vanhoover. The mayor has a critter problem in Everfree, you know? I'm here to handle it." Her chest puffed out a little. No problem being proud of her work, right? Even if she wasn't actually the one supposed to be here...and there was no way she'd be able to get the job done.

Oh, right. "Um. What about you?" Hunter took a sip of her milkshake. Nothing like an ice cold shot of reality to drag a pony down again.

He raised a brow at the other pony, glancing around at the decidedly different looking local ponies. But before he could actually comment about how obvious it really was, she kept on talking. So he figured it was best to just let that comment go - no reason to piss off the one interesting pony he'd seen so far. "I was on my way to Manehattan. Got stuck here because of some problem with the train. And I really don't want to fly all the way there." He made a face, flicking his feathers in and out. "So now I'm stuck."

Tilting his head, he sipped at his own shake and considered the other information she'd shared. "Some kind of problem in the forest? Like what?"

The look she gave him was somewhere between curious and skeptical. Her eyes lingered on those fluttering feathers. "Could you really fly all the way to Manehattan from here?" She didn't have wings, obviously; she didn't know. But if she did... To fly like that? Shoot, she would never bother coming down.

"Timber wolves, mainly. You know anything about them?" Hunter jerked her head in the vague direction of the forest. "They're being more aggressive than usual. I'm supposed to put them in line - well, me and my crew. But they aren't here yet. And with the trains, you know..." She shrugged, poking at her ice cream. "Until they show up, I guess I'm stuck too."

Aksaja flicked his wings out and back in again. "I probably could but it wouldn't be very fun. It is a long way and I'd definitely have to stop for rests here and there. The train's much more comfortable. That is, when you can actually use it," he muttered at the end of his answer. Sipping at his shake again, he tried to think if he knew anything about Timber Wolves.

"I've heard of the Wolves, but I gotta admit, that's about it. Never seen one or anything." He usually wasn't one for helping out places that he didn't even live. But. He was stuck here, and bored already. So hey ... why not. "How hard are they to ... put in line? I'd be up for helping you out. You getting paid?" That part could be a nice perk too...

She blinked at him, momentarily surprised. She'd never...thought of flying as being actual work before. It was obvious now, yeah - but Hunter had basically fgured that wings just...worked? Hadn't occurred to her that they were muscles and bones and things that got tired, no different than running legs. Not gonna lie, that killed some of the magic.

"They're cool to see, in a creepy kind'a way. All bramble, leaves and crazy." She shrugged. "And...I'm not sure, to be honest. I'm betting they're about as hard to wrangle as anything else that doesn't want to be." The pony downed the rest of her shake. The ice cream got a remorseful glance: it was little more than soup at this point. "At least, I assume that's why the pay is so good. So I wouldn't mind the help!" Her grin was full of teeth. Aside from that, though, obviously genuinely pleased at the offer, and a little relieved.

Aksaja nodded slowly at her description of the wolves, vaguely recalling a picture he'd seen - probably back in school when he was a colt. He hadn't had much experience with fighting, or "wrangling" as she put it, wild beasts, but how hard could it really be?

With a slight shrug, the dark pony finished off his own shake and shook his mane out of his face. "Sounds good. When do we start?" he asked with a smirk.
