(This is a private RP between Leena's Aarón Juan de Pulso, & Sharkie Bubble's Splenden) No where was off limits to the prehistoric equine. It was a rarity that he didn't have a beautiful feminine shadow trailing behind him to sing of the natural wonders that they would encounter upon their travels. No, this was a time that Corazón wished to be from her beloved father's side and that was alright by Aarón Juan. He was truly bonded to his children but also understood that the desire and need to explore was something well bred into the both of them from their parents. He also grasped the concept that his little girl was no longer just a tiny filly but a full grown mare who needed her own space and time to discover herself. It was this request that she take a journey alone that brought this large stallion deep into places he had never seen before.
A gentle lulling hum was resonating from within his throat as he lumbered along, lantern swaying between his lips in rhythmic timing to the cheerful melody. It was quite the contrast from the murky swamplands that was under his purple toes. Beyond the gentle song that Aarón Juan held on his own, there was little noise beside the wildlife teeming everywhere around the wetlands. It was a good thing he brought his lantern otherwise he might have issues seeing his own trails that he wandered around. His demeanor was slow but cheerfully confident and it was only after almost half an hour of humming did he still and stop to see exactly where he had ended up.
Those ruby hues surveyed where he currently stood. He was much taller than other stallions who were more mammal like in appearance but he was grateful to have such a towering point of view in this present situation. It proved useful in providing a great vantage in seeing where he was. Trees speckled the landscape as bodies of brown water overcame large portions of the land. He stood bank side of one of the many bodies of water, a little closer towards an old swamp tree. It was quite certainly clear: he was a bit lost. His large stature with the bright rainbow paper lantern swaying in the occasional slow turn of his head really caused him to stand out in such scenery. Anyone who was native to the lands would be able to tell he was a tourist and that was not necessarily a good thing. No fear flooded his heart in despite this. If anything, there was a bit of energy in his smile. This place, despite its damp murk and filth provided a new opportunity in Aarón Juan's mind. It was a chance to be a true light. All he needed was to find a soul that he could try to connect with.WC: 465Sharkie Bubbles Hope this is okay to start! <3 >W< Thankies for rping with me!

Little droplets from above, feel on to the resting head of the stallion, causing him to stir. It took a few moments for him to process what was happening, look up just in time to have a drop land in his violet eyes. There was a flurry of blinking due to that offensive little drip, but it made him get up and take care of the issue. Splenden pulled a piece of his aged thatch roof back into place. He really did need to make some home improvements. It had been quite some time since he had last patched up his home to keep it proper and livable and loveable. His lavender fins and scales shimmered against the worn out wood of his home. He gave his home a once over. Looking at all he needed to tend to, before the next batch of weather decided to come in and weather his home some more. The roof was a big priority, the floors could use some reinforcements as well. He would have to adjust his home’s alignment on its stilts as well. It would be a lot of work to keep it together ,but it wasn’t the first time that his home had been like this.
It was then he thought he would search the swamp for materials. He could remember a patch that had some time building supplies that would really spruce up the place. The idea excited him to the point where he happily, bounced off the deck, and into the knee deep swamp waters. He was prepared to pick his way through to get this goal done for the day. Splenden pranced through the swamp that he called home, the mud sticking to his fins a bit. It wouldn’t be too hard to get it off later. On his way to the supplies, he spotted some color that wasn’t normal to the swamps, sure some had lovely flowers in them but not in true rainbow fashion. Splenden was drawn towards the strange but not unwanted change of his usual scenery. Once he was only a bit away, he started to approach with more caution. He could see the large shape through the trees. He wasn’t afraid, he was curious and wondering who this was. They didn’t seem to be from the area. He had been there all of his life.
“Excuse me?” Splenden perked towards the large quest to the swamp. He got up on to a clearer patch, his blue hooves covered in dark mossy swamp vegetation causing sharp contrast to the color of his pale blue legs. “Are you new here?”
Splenden poked his head out between two large trees as he spoke. The rest of him wouldn’t fit through the small space but he was fine with that.
Leena-chan Super excited to get into Rping with this gorgeous stallions. smile

Ears perked and tilted, drawing his face to turn in the direction of the polite call that reached him and it was there that his crimson gaze fell upon an interesting sight that softened his smile and eyes. There was a soquili here! 'Oh good perhaps this journey has not been made in vain.' thought Aarón quietly to himself in his mind. This stallion appeared to not be a natural fixture as well, from what he could make out between the trees. The dirt and mud that covered him in random places could not hide the bright soft colors that made up the new encounter. In that instance it was more than clear to the prehistoric stallion he was not the only nonnative to the land. "Hola." He called out in a warmth that the sun itself would be proud of. He took a few steps towards the male before setting down his lantern. He beamed just as brightly as the light from his favorite traveling companion. "Sí I am new." Within his own being he made a note to work harder to speak the same language as the one before him. "I travel the lands looking for those who are lost and alone. Do you live in these lands with your family?" Perhaps the family this stallion was from came here and settled. It was a guess that he would go with for now and maybe get him to stay and chat for a while.WC: 246

He listened quietly, and didn’t wish for the other to become concerned for him, but still offered the truth on his situation. Splenden shook his head, and pulled it out from between the trees to move to a better spot to see the one he was making a conversation with. "I currently live here alone. I am just waiting." He offered as an explanation to his presence in the swamp. “Are you thinking of moving here? I don’t see many others here.” Splenden really analyzed the other, the bits of rainbow stood out the most, and the lantern that matched as well.
Some of the mud on his hoof was starting to itch for he rubbed it idly on the tree, the chuck fell off revealing his dark blue hooves. The hair around his hooves was still a little full of mud but it was okay, since the itchy part was gone.

As he watched his newest acquaintance step out, the striking handsome features were not lost upon Aarón Juan. Truly such a magnificent stallion was not born here. Curiosity rose from within him but Aarón Juan was not one to let that nature take hold. He would address one remark at a tim in the order of his choosing. A soft laugh rumbled from him. "No, I cannot move here. I am grateful for the invitation. Gracias. I am a traveller and my job does not allow me to stay in one area too long. In a way you could say I have come to meet you." His head tilted just a little bit as if to offer the male a new perspective of his features. His mane shifted around his form from the movement but he did his best to remain calm and still in respect to his fellow soquili. No one had given him this duty of trying to find the broken and unloved. It was something he felt compelled to do all on his own. Too many had been harmed from what he knew of the world and he would battle it all with the greatest weapon: love. "You say you are waiting. What are you waiting for?" He did his best to take his proud tall posture and relax it to try and appear smaller than he was. He did not wish to intimidate his new friend-in-making after all. His focus had been on those purple eyes of the stallion before him so he was a bit surprised when he looked down to no longer see mud-caked hooves but rather a striking navy footed equine. He refocused his gaze upon those eyes, doing his best to keep a steady light stare.WC: 293

"I see, that is okay. Its sometimes hard to live here." He acknowledged. There was no harm to be done in telling this other his story. He happily obliged. "When I was just a little colt, I remember a very pretty soquili that told me to stay put. I was really little and didn't understand why. But, I did, I have been waiting for her to come back to tell me it was okay to leave. I know that she wouldn't have want me to run off. So in the swamp I decided to stay." He titled his head a bit, as the other moved a bit. "I believe she was my caretaker. I don't think that most moms would leave their colt out in the swamp. Well at least without reason." His violet eyes looked up at the hanging moss on the trees. "Not sure when she left really...but I know back then I felt like I could never reach these mossy bits. Which was a shame because they make good blocks for the water that tries to come in the roof." He put his front hooves on the tree and pulled a piece down for the sake of doing it. He flicked the bit of moss on to his back he would use it later. "If that helps to give you any type of timeline."

It was as if the story itself was a bolt of lightning causing Aarón Juan to jerk back a bit in a quick motion. It was just for the blink of an eye that there would be a sadness within his gaze. This poor stallion before him was abandoned? He silently prayed in hopes that this male was right, that there had to be a good reason for leaving a foal so young alone in such a place like this. However, the sorrow was for a fleeting moment and just as quickly as it came it was gone and replaced with the a soft smile. Fate had brought him here to this soul, he knew it. If there was ever a soquili out there that was in need of him, this would be the best example he knew of.
"You must be muy fuerte. So strong to be so young when you came here. Have you been alone this whole time here?" His words were gentle and kind while trying to not cause harm to his new friend. Those red eyes watched him gather up moss. So he needed this? He stood up a bit taller and moved over to a tree. It only took him rearing up and the balance of one foot on the trunk for him to gather up a mouthful of moss. He was slow and his step down was heavy but he had plenty of moss to give. He slowly approached the male, and dropped it at his hooves. He bowed his head to him and took a few steps back to give him space. "Dónde is your house? May I see your home?" Surely he did not live in this part of the swamp. There must be a proper structure to survive after all.WC: 300

Splenden caught it but if he had blinked he was sure he would have missed the wash of gloom that covered the features of the stallion before him. It wasn’t a lack of curiosity that kept him from asking what was so sad to him. Just that a new set of questioned had been posed before he could get to it. “Yes. I have been here the whole time. I mean I had a lot of food left for me, and was told to take care of myself so I made sure to do those things.” It wasn’t clear to Splenden but he really was abandoned, but he didn’t get that is was necessarily bad at this point. For all he knew it was normal for people to grow up alone.
“Sure you can come see my home.” Splenden’s hooves sunk back into the swampy water and he started to pick his way back towards his home, “Follow me.” He moved through with relative ease, it was clear he had been there for a very long time.

His one brow rose at the mention of the male's childhood decision to preserve himself. "Owh." He was thoroughly impressed as the pieces of this story slowly came together with each new bit of information he received. "Even as a foal, you were clever and quick to feed yourself with the what was left." Perhaps leaving this soul alone was a better fate than what awaited the child at the side of his parents. In graceful motion he turned from the dragon-aquatic male to retrieve his beautiful lantern to his mouth. He turned back and happily trotted up to the stallion's side, ensuring his feet kept moving from the murky soil under the water. He needed to keep moving to try and keep from sinking. Of course that didn't totally work given his size but it was an effort. "Tell me: what do you like to eat here?" There was a gentle smile waiting should his traveling partner look back to see Aarón Juan's face. If the blue stallion really paid much mind he would see each footstep appeared to follow a soundless song as he swayed while walking.WC: 189

“Well, I had to. I didn’t want to die.” Splenden said very softly. It was a hard truth, he had to really work hard to make it at times. While they walked together, Splenden tried to give his travel companion some space to move in. His own moving through the swamp was not too difficult now that he knew what he was doing and how to disperse his weight to not have any of his limbs sink into the ground. “Well I eat what I was left really, it had been a very heavy diet of vegetation I find.”
Before too long, they finally came to his humble and old looking home, he climbed up the steps, and gestured for his big new friend to come stand on the solid ground that was to the left of the front porch like area. “Here it is. My home.” He pulled the moss off his back and ripped a little piece off and balanced it on his nose, and pushed it into a hole on the ceiling. “Once that grows into place, I have a nice little all natural patch for my home.” He seemed very proud of the work he did.
