"Come one, come all! Step right up to play a thrilling game of chance, greed, and non-stop surprises!"
Even amid the tumult of the winter market, it's hard to miss a certain black and orange acha bawling her sales pitch. As she does, she dances, she tumbles, she balances on two hooves, and sometimes she forays out into the crowd to weave and dance around random passers-by, even leaping clear over a few of the shorter ones. As you draw closer to where she's got her game set up, she catches your eye and calls out to you.
"Hey there, friend! You wanna play?"
You assent, which pleases the acha greatly, if her wide smile and energetic leaping is anything to go by.
"Yesss, excellent," she cheers. "Head over that way and wait with the rest of the group til I can come over and explain the rules, okay? And don't smudge up the course," she adds, "it took forever to make it perfect." Then, she returns to hyping the crowd.
The space the game is held in is clear of grass and leaf litter alike, leaving the soil very clearly exposed. It's been tamped flat, with lines roughly incised to mark the game's course, which winds around some trees and shrubs, and seems to split in one place. Standing a bit aside from those curious enough to accept the acha's offer are a couple of her colleagues, a strange and gaunt purple kimeti and a fierce, red kiokote. The kimeti looks a little menacing and a lot uncomfortable, and the kiokote looks a lot menacing and a little eager. Eventually, their acha leader rejoins you, calls the crowd to silence, and explains the rules.

In-character, the spaces on the board are marked with kins' typical subjectively intelligible glyphs, so gameplay mostly relies on Can You, Negative, and Bargaining scurrying around and telling your kin what the space means and distributing tokens. Fortunately, on this side of the computer screen, we can use a simple visual guide to show you which space means what.
Here's the key to what the colors on the board mean;
1. ██ no change in token count 2. ██ +1 token 3. ██ alternating minus one token / plus two tokens (the first kin to land on it loses one token, and the next kin gains two tokens, rinse and repeat. If you have no tokens, then you lose nothing, and the next kin to land on it will lose a token instead.) 4. ██ +1 roll (immediately after current) 5. ██ go back one space 6. ██ go forward one space 7. ██ +2 tokens
First and foremost: this event will be open until 10:00 PM EST January second! Yep, that means you can claim your tokens a little later than originally planned - but only for this booth.
Anyways, you can roll three times a day, 1d6 per turn. You aren't allowed to roll twice in a row, unless it's been at least fifteen minutes, and nobody else has posted. After that time passes, you can finish up your rolls for the day without waiting. (For example, if I did my first roll at 8:30 PM today, then nobody had posted by 8:45 PM, I could then do my other two rolls without waiting for anyone else to post.)
Each time you roll, your kin advances that many spaces on the game board from where they were. Then, once you move to a new space, you get the space's result! This also includes spaces you're moved to for landing on a "move forward" or "move backward" space - if it moves you onto a space that'd add tokens, you get those tokens, etc. Consult the key and board in the previous post to see where you are and what you get. Once you determine this, post this code:
[color=blue][b][size=16]ROLL NUMBER # FOR TODAY[/size][/b][/color] [b]Kin:[/b] name [b]Space Number:[/b] [b]Result:[/b] consult the key [b]Token total:[/b] number
Although this event might run over the course of 6 calendar days in your timezone, you may only participate for up to five calendar days of gameplay, to prevent unfair advantages when it comes to the bag and box prizes. You may choose any five days that fit within the event schedule.
You get to keep all of the tokens you earn, of course, too - but you can only claim them at the end of the game. Some extra prizes will be handed out at the end, too, based on a bunch of different statistical criteria. Here are a few examples of things that will be counted;
A) player with most tokens B) player with least tokens C) furthest distance traveled D) most consistent roller E) most 4s rolled
The number of awards will largely depend on the number of participants, but there will be four grand prizes awarded... a box, two bags, and a coveted fancy box!
if you do some fun rp in the game I might doodle your kin like I did my three (with lines and flat colors like mine will eventually have, opening before the art assets are all done lmao).
