If no one makes themselves Father Christmas, it will have been Jack's fault. Basically, Father Christmas was tricked into going into the wrong place. Say, a fancy ballroom that looks mysteriously like a warehouse. And then he went in. And some mysterious wintery fellow locked him in. Oops. smile )))
Something like that. And at the end of the Ball, Jack will have learned the error of his ways, and he will release Father Christmas.

So is everyone located at the same place in the north pole, or is Jack and gang in santa's factory and santa's gang outside, or...? Where are the two groups located in relation to each other?

I think I'll change my sugarplum fairy character and take Father Christmas. That is, unless someone else wants him.

We'll set the party AT Father Christmas's house in the North Pole. That'll make it extra bad that Jack took it over. If you want to switch you totally can! Having or not having Father Christmas will work out for the plot, so don't feel pressured either way.
