Poni Wilds is lush, forested area in the western side of Poni Island. It is located just north of Seafolk Village, and contains a lot of wild Pokémon as well as a coastal area with water for fishing and surfing. There are a large number of berry trees here, and so the Poni Wilds are a popular spot to go berry harvesting.

Going from the hot and humid island of Ula Ula, to the dry airid island of Poni was a fairly large shock. Mave landed close to the cliff side, as they entered the Poni wilds, a far bit east from the only village on the island. It appeared this was the least inhabited island of all of them. Avikna and Tay slipped off the wolf, looking around at the dry landscape. "I'll go look over there!" Tay announced as she took off towards some bushes. Avikna rested down beside Mave, using a tree nearby for shade. She knew right off the bat she wouldn't care for this place. Though something about it felt like they were being pushed down... like there was something big here that they couldn't quite see.

Putting on the sunglasses she'd picked up back at Hau'oli City, Avikna scanned the wild, noticing a lack of trainer and wild Pokemon alike. It made her wonder why it was called 'wilds' in the first place. But as she wondered this, Mave lifted her head. Her ears flicked back and forth as if trying to pick up some sort of sound. A sound that Avikna couldn't hear. That was until a dust cloud formed in the distance. Tay came running quickly shouting something with a startled look on her face. Elias fluttered behind her at a frantic pace. 'I think something is coming.' Mave mentioned, lifting up onto her legs. Avikna stood up, brushing dust from her butt before walking over to Mave. After the dust cloud and earthshaking thunder grew closer and more intense, Avikna finally climbed onto Mave's back. The wolf beat down on her wings, gaining some altitude. From the sky they could see as clear as day, the dust cloud was caused by rampaging Tauros. Riding at either side of the stampede were a few men and woman riding on the back of large horse-like Pokemon. They were whistling and shouting something at the Tauros. It was then Avikna noticed. The stampede was going straight for the cliff. Tauros were notorious for being ill-tempered and wild even when tamed. They'd likely jump right off the cliff-side with no hesitation. "Ookoth, we're going to need your help!" Avikna called into the sky. A moment later from a drifting cloud Ookoth appeared.

"Try your growl attack"she said clapping her own hands when the pokemon growled adorably."Yes that would work...now use water gun" Marcus did as told, and Sana looked at the attack with a critical eye. "Hmmm try aiming it upwards."
Dana for her part was looking around the wilds. "Look at the ground...I wonder what kind of soil it is Louis" she said while the rattata sniffed around. It's ears kept perking up and his head snapped around from time to time but for the most part he was calm. "Let's explore some more"

Terrence’s mind was still on the legends that he had read while in the hospital, or at least some of the stories he read. He remembered thinking about Red for a bit. His pokemon seemed to know that Terrence was going to be thinking for a long time, so they took it upon themselves to search while Terrence reminisced. After thinking about Red, Terrence moved his thoughts towards a boy named Ruby. Terrence didn’t find much in common with this particular hero, but he did find his story interesting. Some of the books stated that he in fact really did love battling despite what others might say. However, due to some traumatic event that happened it seemed to change Ruby thinking. Though some say he never really lost that spark for battling. This traumatic event seemed to happen in his childhood, which also included a girl named Sapphire.

Sapphire was depicted as someone who loved battling, and even loved helping her father with field research. Though again, similarly to Ruby she wasn’t always like that. It wasn’t clear why Ruby was into contests, and why Sapphire was into battling. However, it was clear that the two of them always seemed to have some issues with one anther. It was said that at first they hated one another, Sapphire even challenging Ruby to see who could get all the badges or contest ribbons in the region first. It seemed a bit childish to Terrence when he read about the bet, but maybe that was their way of getting used to one another.

As the bet went one, it seemed that the two of them had their own share of troubles. Ruby and his family weren’t exactly on the same page, and Sapphire seemed to be struggling with remembering her childhood friend. She couldn’t find it in herself to trust anyone else, unless it was her father or mother of course. Ruby was said to have a major confrontation with his father, the outcome and reason for the fight was argued many times between historians. Some say it was before his father wanted him to be a battler, other say it’s because Ruby left without his families consent. Whatever the reason, Terrence honestly felt like he understood Ruby a bit better. He too often times argued with his family while in the hospital.

He pursed his lips and thought more about the story, and moved back towards Sapphire. She on the other hand seemed to struggle to accept Ruby. It was said that the relationship between the both of them was rather rocky at best, and that Sapphire seemed to at one point called him a liar and wanted nothing to do with him. There were also some claims that she was rather wild, and often times wore rather questionable clothing. That made Terrence’s cheeks pink when he was younger, what could she possible have been wearing at the time? However, it was clear that Ruby seemed to fix the problem given time. After that well it seemed that some crazy stuff happened, and they reconciled with one another. Something about a blue and red orb as well as some bad guys. The texts weren’t all that clear to be honest. It was still pretty cool to read about though.

If she went calling her twin over everything. Walking forward she lifted some of the shrubbery and smiled when she saw some pokemon scurry from underneath. Sana meanwhile was sitting with Deliah and Marcus. The Poplio was now working on aiming his water gun upwards, holding out both flippes as he did. "That's really good"the 11-year-old said looking over the pokemon's performance. "Now it says here that if we go to a cute contest, there are items that will help...like a brush, a spritz bottle...oh we should get you a bow!"

The girl was really looking foward to starting off in the contest circuit, although she wondered where the contests were even held in Unova. They had actually picked the region because Dana thought it'd be cool to see and she doubted her twin had thought about contests when she picked it. Still...there had to be some contests here didn't here? When I get to the next city, I'll get a directorythe girl thought. Petting the poplio and popping some of the chocolate raisins she had brought as a snak into her mouth. We can find out more about the contests there.

Sitting by it, she looked at the watertypes swimming below, taking out her phone to record it. When Marcus learns surf, she thought, he'll be able to take me out there. Then I'll be able to go out there and see all the pokemon in the water. She wondered if Sana would be alright with having the poplio keep the move. Dana wasn't sure what the move could bring to the table in contest. "We do everything together" she said to no one in particular"But I guess sometimes I wonder if that's such a good thing" She looked down feeling horribly guilty at saying, she loved her twin. She couldn't imagine being without her. We'll figure out a way to keep both our goals in mind she thought, reaching out to pet Louis who had just wandered into her lap. We always do.
