Welcome to the Pokemon League! Here you can challenge the Elite Four and the Champion for the title Champion of Alola!

Challenging the E4

Please note that the Elite Four, and the Champion do have items. Their levels have been adjusted and items given to their pokemon to balance out with all the options that the rpers have, as well as to make them more uniform with the other regions leagues, which will be getting put up as they're finished.

When you challenge the Elite Four, you can choose the order in which you challenge them, but you must quote a mod and they must be rped by a mod. This is a long and arduous task, so to cut down on time and energy, these battles do not need to be literate. You can simply state the basic battle information, such as the pokemon sent out, the move used, and the damage calculations. You will need time and patience, so be prepared, but know that the reward is great-- you'll be the champion of an entire region!

When challenging a member of the elite four or the Champion, your character must send out their pokemon first. You already have the advantage of knowing the Elite Four and Champion's teams, so sending out your first pokemon out evens the odds a bit.

Please also note that, while you cannot heal your pokemon at a center between matches, just like the games, you are allowed to use items between the consecutive matches. However, you cannot use more than two regular (50HP) potions on a pokemon, and if the mods feel that the item privilege is being abused, restrictions may be made, since items are typically more difficult and restricted in the games, anyway, and victory over the Elite Four and Champion should be due to training and strategizing, not heal-item hoarding.

Additionally, you may only have ONE Mega pokemon on your team when battling the E4.

Please remain active if you are challenging the E4. If you are challenging the E4, but you don't post for a week, you will automatically forfeit the challenge. This is to prevent people from being held up, especially when it comes to challenging a champion who is another member's character.

Becoming Champion

Be aware that in challenging the E4, the team you become champion with is the team you must use to battle future challengers. If you successfully become champion, your active party at the time will be saved as a "snapshot" to the Champion's position and the Hall of Fame to be noted and used in future battles. Should this team change after becoming champion, their E4 saved data will remain unaltered. You must use the E4 saved data team to battle any challengers, including the moves, held items, forms, and abilities your active party had at the time.

The only exception is in level. While it is recommended that you face the E4 with a fully leveled team, if you happen to become champion with a team of pokemon that have levels lower than 100, upon being challenged, you may adjust the snapshot pokemon's levels to match their current level. Their moves and abilities will still remain unaltered, however.

In order to fully change the snapshot of your team, you must either be defeated or temporarily resign from your position as champion and battle the E4 again and defeat the champion with your new team of choice.

Responsibilities As Champion

Being the Champion of a region is a lot of hard work! As such, characters may only be the champion of one region at any given time. You are free to challenge the E4 of other regions as champion, but if your character is challenging the Alola E4 and they are already champion of another region, this battle will not qualify your character for the Alola champion title.

As Champion, your character is free to come and go as they wish, however they must be present when challengers arrive. You will be PMed by a mod when a character is challenging the E4, and alerted again if that character has made it to the champion's room or not. If they have made it to the champion's room, you have one week to get your character to the E4, otherwise your character forfeits the match and their title as champion, and the challenger will face Kukui as the Champion instead.

Similarly, if your character makes it to the battle on time, but then in the middle of the battle, no responses are made for a week, you will forfeit the match and a mod will take over your character until the match is finished, but even if the challenger loses, your character will lose their title as champion and be replaced with Kukui.

The Elite Four:

Each member of the Elite Four gets: 1 max revive, two full heals, and three full restores.
Note that this does not mean they will use them, but if the challenger is using several healing items to continue battling, the playing field will be leveled out a bit, and the Elite Four may start using their items as consequence. This is to encourage people to focus on tactics and training, rather than stocking up on items, and thus will not guarantee them using all, or some, of their items if the healing is only an occasional thing.
