It was starting to snow, and Miravilla loved it. She lived for cold days, representing her own character. She was just simply a cold mare in general. She was done with her lessons with her father and uncle, and in all honesty, she was done with them in general.

She wanted a way out of this. A way out of her family's ties. She wanted to leave like her older sister. Miravilla wondered where Ctet was - maybe even dead by now. It wasn't like she cared, but she wanted to be as outgoing as the lighter mare. But Miravilla was scared to leave home the same time - she was practically treated as a princess back home, and she was extremely spoiled.

The mare did have the confidence to walk a distance from home, only to explore. That was, until she saw a body of gold amongst the snow and she stopped in her tracks. She knew that her uncle would probably attack the stranger. He was within her family's territory, but she still wanted to converse with someone who was outside of her family.

"What's a pretty boy like you doing out here?" she asked, trotting up to him. She was larger than her, maybe even bigger than her father and uncle, but she didn't care for now. He was someone different.

sorry! I know I said blank slate, but technically I've never roleplayed with Miravilla, so I found this to be a good opportunity c:

Glósóli inhaled deeply, letting his eyes flutter shut as he breathed in the cool air. Winter had snuck up on him this year, in this new land; he missed the kiss of warm sun on his gold coat, and shivered involuntarily.

He picked up his pace again, trudging through the snow toward... something. He wasn't quite sure what his eventual goal was, but he realized that traveling to this new land during the winter was not the smartest decision; he had no idea where to find food, or shelter, or water. He was completely at the mercy of the elements. The stallion could take care of himself just fine, but he longed for the comforts of him.

He had not wandered far through the snow when he came across a peculiar scent. It had been some time since he had last encountered another Soquili, and despite his potentially intimidating size, he felt a little uneasy. He didn't know how the inhabitants of this land felt about their own territory, and if he was trespassing, he could be in deep trouble.

Glósóli watched her approach warily, yet standing tall, waiting for her to say the first word. She was smaller than he, but that did not put his mind at ease... until she called him pretty boy. The second those words escaped her lips, he laughed heartily, deep in his chest, relaxing a bit.

"Pretty boy, eh?" he boomed, ruffling his feathers. "I'm just passing through, ma'am, I meant no harm or disrespect."

Not a problem! I'll link his cert and such in here when I get it too. c: Thank you for letting me play with him a bit!

Miravilla saw as the stranger ruffled himself. She liked that. He was either flattered, or full of himself. Whichever, she didn't really care. "I mean, you're okay." Miravilla shrugged.

"It's nice every once in a while to see someone different, you know? Here, it's just usually my family around because my super territorial uncle doesn't like trespassers, but I think you'll be fine! We're just a little passed boundaries anyways."

With her never being exposed to the outside world, she stared at him, trying to look into his eyes and unlock his past. Where was he from? Who is he? What has he done? She did not know.

"So no harm done. Do you not think you're pretty?"

Moire Frost
for sure! I couldn't resist and haven't roleplayed in gaia in forever. xD

Glósóli quirked his brow. "You know, you don't inspire much confidence, ma'am, citing your super territorial uncle." He laughed, glancing around dramatically. "He's not going to pop out and try to kill me, is he?" Though he wasn't necessarily afraid of the mare's family, he did not want to make enemies on his first day in the Soquili lands, and he definitely did not feel up to fighting. If any of her territorial family decided to show up, he would simply apologize and leave; like a gentleman, how his mama raised him.

The stallion was a little confused by her question; what does it matter if he's pretty or not? He preferred to think of himself as a decent fellow, with a complete lack of ulterior motives or hidden agendas. Just a good ol' dude with a heart of gold and only a handful of character flaws working against him. Surely that counted for more than looks? He had never even thought about it before.

"I've never seen myself, so I can't answer that," he replied with a smirk, ruffling his feathers again. "But what about you, pretty lady? Do you think yourself attractive?"

Anytime love! I want to get my butt in gear and really flesh out his character, I'm excited to explore his past a bit!

Miravilla shook her head. No, Loddigesia would not be finding the stranger around here for a while. Her uncle was busy with other things for the time being, giving her enough time to leave. But to be tracked down and brought back home was a different situation.

She was a bit confused by his response. He never seen himself? Had he never saw his reflection in water? She didn't want to assume, but she would have thought that he would have. Her ears flattened at his question to her. Did she find herself pretty?

"I don't care much about how I look, but if I were to say, I find myself to be suitable, but not with someone like you. I despise wings. What's your name anyways?"

Glósóli shrugged. Even if this little mare was a bit rude, at least the crazy uncle wasn't going to show up... well, that's what he hoped, knowing nothing about this mare and taking her for her word.

"That's fine by me, ma'am," he snorted, fanning his wings out and playing with his feathers in the wind. "Good thing you don't have any wings then, innit?" If there was one part of himself he truly knew and liked, it was his wings; so powerful, so light. He missed soaring above the treetops at dusk in the summer. He missed the games of tag he would play as a foal, diving around his friends like a bird. He missed preening with his siblings back home.

"My name is Glósóli," he answered, bowing his head politely. "And you are?"

Miravilla rolled her eyes, knowing that the stallion was just trying to tick her off with his fanning. It was immature, really. She just had a bad history with winged soquili, especially that of her uncle. It wasn't like her winged mother who refused to fly anyways. It was also his politeness that threw her off a bit. It was different than back home where things would just be given to her just because. With him, she did not know what she wanted, but she didn't want him to leave the same time.

"Gl-Glaw-Glós-Glósóli. That seems. . . odd. . . But I guess I can manage with that." Although it was a struggle, Miravilla did happen to eventually reiterate the stallion's name, so she was secretly proud of that accomplishment. She closed her eyes and visualized his name, trying to imprint it. "But my name is Miravilla, but you can call me Mira or Villa if you'd like."

Glósóli bowed his head again when she said her name, choosing to ignore her eye roll. "Lovely to meet you, Miravilla," he replied, using her full name and beaming as she pronounced his correctly. His mama always taught him that being polite and making a good first impression were the two most important things in this sort of situation; even if something went horribly wrong, or the two didn't get along, at least he could hold his head high and know that it wasn't due to his manners.

"I don't mean to be rude," he began a little sheepishly, feeling his stomach beginning to rumble. "But I've had a very long journey and haven't eaten in a while. I would be very grateful if you could point me in the direction of some food, or at least where I have a good chance of finding some. You're more than welcome to join, of course."

Miravilla gave a short smile back. It was enough to return the gesture, that was, until Glósóli asked about food. By the looks of it, he didn't eat meat because his heart was pure and he was kind. Part of her wanted to be nicer, even a tad bit, to the traveler, but she wasn't ready for that.

Where would be the best place for food? Since snow was around, there wasn't really much fresh grass left, and she didn't want him to accidentally gnaw on ice or something by mistake. She would have suggested the meadows, but that was almost dead. Maybe he liked fruit?

"I have stored some apples actually, but I don't have any fresh. . ." she sighed in defeat. "I've collected them a few days before the first snowfall, just in case, but I think they will still be okay. I stored them with some sweet grass too, if you'd prefer that." And as much as she didn't want to, she actually cared about Glósóli's well-being. They might even become acquaintances in the long run, and maybe, just maybe, she would leave the land with him. Miravilla started heading back in the direction of home - the same direction that Glósóli was heading - before turning around to the stallion.

"So do any interest you?"

Glósóli felt a pang in his heart; Miravilla was being remarkably kind to him, despite her slightly prickly personality, and for that he was grateful. But something about taking from the mare's personal supply of food didn't sit right with him. He was a gentleman, after all, and gentlemen did not take what did not belong to them.

"I couldn't bear to burden you like that," he replied carefully, calculating his words. "Those are your things, I wouldn't want to take them away from you."

The stallion wracked his brains for any other ideas. Unless Miravilla insisted, he would not take her supply of food; the winter here was already sending a chill deep into his bones, and he knew the hardest days were yet to come. She needed to conserve and ration to keep herself alive. Hadn't there been a meadow half a day's journey away with little snow? Maybe there was grass there. He thought for a moment before smirking, ruffling the tiny winglets behind his ears.

"Would you like to come on a journey with me?" he asked, eyes sparkling excitedly. "I stumbled upon a meadow this morning without much snow. With the sun being as warm as it is today, most of it should have melted by now. There may be grass there."

Miravilla listened as Glósóli spoke of not wanting to take her stock. She found that weird. She often met stallions who were willing to just take and take. Glósóli was weird. She was about to open her mouth to continue with her insistence - she herself, was able to eat meat, but maybe that would be a turn off for the pure stallion. So she kept quiet while he continued speaking.

She took a step back when he asked if she wanted to go on a journey with him. And she felt a bit odd, but she wanted to say yes. It was like a sign, considering how she wanted to leave home. A meadow with grass. She could go with him, and eat a few vegetation there. Just to fit in with him.

"As much as I would love to refuse an offer, I would actually be down to find this meadow with you," she said, trying to match her tone with his. "I call dibs that it's not melted yet though. I'm kidding, I trust you with this, pretty boy."

And with that, the mare waited for Glósóli to lead the way.

Glósóli smiled warmly, excitement dancing through his veins; an adventure! With another Soquili! Oh, this was the best thing that had happened to him in a long while. He ached to explore and see the world; this is why he came to the Soquili lands in the first place, to see new things and experience all the world had to offer. Maybe this adventure was just what he needed.

The stallion pulled himself up to full height, spreading his wings and ruffling them gently as he chuckled at her calling him pretty boy again. "It can't hurt to try, right?" he suggested, turning back to where he came from. "And who knows? Maybe we'll find something other than just grass. What else do you eat, Miravilla?" He had heard of other Soquili eating more than just grass and the occasional fruit, but had never met one before.

"We'll just follow my path all the way back," Glósóli began again, more thinking aloud than explaining his plan. He had no doubt Miravilla would follow him regardless of where he was taking her, but in order to keep her at ease - he had no idea what she was thinking in her mind, and for all he knew, she could think he was a murderer or somehow untrustworthy - he tried to explain carefully and precisely. "It's about half a day's journey away. I've got a good memory and sense of direction, even if my tracks are snowed over."

He turned to her now, his feathers dancing slightly in the wind, a grin plastered on his face. "Onwards, pretty lady!" he chimed, leading the way back through the snow, away from the mare's territory.

Did he suspect something about her? She was part hippogryph, but it wasn't obvious. Oh well. She stayed quiet, listening to his agenda. Backtrack. That seemed useful. Kind of a waste of time for Glósóli though, going back and forth. But for Miravilla? It was worth it. It was an adventure and the mare watched as the snow began to cover their tracks. She knew that in order to return home, she'd have to trust the goody good stallion. As annoying as it was, she sort of liked having someone nice around her.

When he called her pretty lady, parodying her nickname of pretty boy for him, the mare tossed her mane defiantly and fell into a trot before giving a slight smile.

She then remembered his question.
"Herbs and the occasional small prey will work for me." Hence why I didn't mind offering you my collection of apples and sweet grass."

The stallion, though surprised at hearing the mare also consumed meat, was not phased; he had met plenty of carnivorous Soquili in his time, and as long as the mare did not try to put him on the menu, he would not be worried. He obviously had the upper hand when it came to size, but he figured this mare could probably defend - and hunt for - herself just fine.

"That is very kind of you," Glósóli said sincerely. "But I'm bored and alone anyway. Why not turn this into an adventure, huh?" He chuckled deep within his chest, falling into a steady rhythm beside the mare. He had to check and adjust his pace slightly to stay even with her - he was a big stallion, with a large stride, and sometimes he forgot about that - and even moved into untouched snow to let her have the path he had forged previously.

"Ladies get the easy path," he commented politely, without a drop of ill-will in his tone. His mama raised him better than to take the easy road when it was so much more polite to let another take it. Perhaps that is why his life turned out the way it did, with him alone and desperate for a friend. He shrugged off the thought before it began to fester; his mama raised him better than that as well.

"So, Miravilla, we've got a bit of walking to do," he began, glancing over at the mare. "What do you like to do? What are your hobbies? I want to learn more about you, if you're willing to share."
