The sound of manicured nailed tapping against the keyboard keys filled the room as Phedre sat at her desk working on a restaurant review for her food blog.

“All in all I give it a fairly solid seven out of ten. Worth it if you have time but make sure to schedule your reservation in advance and bring friends. The portions are made for sharing.

Before posting the article she attached a few photos of her dinner and the drink she ordered, as well as Liz’s meal, then hit submit.

Until a position became available at the school newspaper Phedre had been working on her blog in the meantime; accumulating a few new followers every few days she had just broke the 200 mark. If anything it would be a good thing to add to her resume alongside the modeling volunteer work she does for the fashion design students every quarter. Perhaps one of them would land her a position that would allow her to continue to pursue her passion instead of being stuck doing grunt work for the rest of her non existent career.

Until then she remained jobless, not that she was too concerned. Her family had money which offered her the luxury to hold off working while she focused on her studies. School was her top priority and it was best to not divide her priorities too much; at least that was the plan before the Negaverse decided to commandeer her evenings with their mandatory energy quotas. It was a pain in the a** but she obeyed, for the most part, Phedre just hoped nobody asked where she gathered her energy since she had no real intention on giving her method away lest she get in trouble for doing something morally grey.

Boredom quickly set in over the next several minutes. In the silence her mind began to wonder but the motivation to power up was quickly dashed when the app on her phone said it was less than forty degrees outside. There was no flippin way in any of the nine hells she was about to strut around town in her senshi outfit when it was that cold out.

She hummed, eyes glancing over the objects scattered across her desk before picking up one of the mechanical pencils beside her computer mouse. “Why not?” Phedre wondered out loud.

For all the time spent around the fashion design classes, looking through sketchbooks and articles online, Phedre grabbed a blank piece of paper and decided to give her own imagination a go. Granted she was no artist she began by drawing the rough shape of a woman’s body as a base, using one of the magazine covers as a reference. “Something suited for cold weather.”

The graphite lead moved along the paper in sweeping motions until she was satisfied with the basic shape before adding the more fine details. It looked amature at best but it wasn’t like she was trying to win a competition as opposed to filling the last hour of time before going to bed. Perhaps, if they seemed do-able enough, she would show them to Ama and get her opinion. May, just maybe the rather talented design student would be able to improve upon it and possible make it for her; an exciting prospect that had boosted her motivation to complete the rough sketch. Delilah would never do such a thing but Ama, she might.

As she continued to work, changing pencils as needed, Phedre finally sighed and set her work down before rising from her seat. Arms stretched above her head she couldn’t help but wonder if a trip to the Chiropractor was in order given the way her upper back just made a horrible grinding/popping sound. “I will finish you tomorrow.” She stated before turning off her desk lamp and retreating towards her room.

Tomorrow she’d make up for skipping out on her agent duties, but for now it was time to sleep.
