(Taken from Google docs, still working on this rp.)
Fai wasn’t the most active senshi, he knew that, but he was an active person and perhaps that was why he wasn’t so active as a senshi and didn’t power up all that often? It wasn’t something he mentioned to his cousin or even to Venice, as they had been spending a fair amount of time together as they’d become good friends. Venice was active as a knight, he knew that, as the other spoke often of his wonder and the other events he’d been involved in. Fai also knew the knight of Ganymede had taken a sort of break from one part of being a knight, and was focusing on his homeworld. He didn’t know why, it seemed rather sudden, and he didn’t ask when they spent time together.
Tonight however wasn’t a night for them to spend time nor was he even planning on powering up, no surprise really, he was just out for a walk to cool off after having dropped his gym bag at home. He’d finished his lessons at the dojo he went to and thought to enjoy the cool evening air, it was too hot during the daytime to really go out.
As a cool breeze ruffled his green hair his golden eyes closed for a moment - this felt good. When he got home he’d take a cool shower, watch a movie perhaps, and head to bed. He had things to do tomorrow, nothing new really, so he wouldn’t stay up too late.

Plans, however, were fickle things and rarely did they ever happen the way you expected them to.
Today was no different…
Not even five minutes after he had sat down to relax did his phone began to ring while on the other side of the line his cousin, Mei, leaned her back against her closet door and waited for him to pick up.

Surprised to hear his phone start to ring he pulled it out of his pocket and hit the answer button, having glanced at who had called him. “Mei?” He asked wondering if his cousin was alright, or if she needed something. It wasn’t often she called him really. It wasn’t that they talked often, they did, she just normally texted him.
Stopping at a corner, to wait for the light to turn, he waited for his cousin to respond while hoping everything was alright - he didn’t want to have to beat someone up for her.

“Hey…” She replied, her voice somewhat hesitant on the phone.
“I’m sorry if I’m bothering you; I wasn’t sure if you were still at the dojo or if you were at home sleeping.” He sounded tired; that went without saying but it didn’t really deter Mei from inviting him to join her for a stroll around the neighborhood. “I’m feeling a bit restless tonight and was wondering if you would go out on patrol with me for a few hours.”

“No, no. I’m out. You’re ok?” He asked, concern lacing his voice as he worried about it, she sounded off...not as bright as usual? She was hesitant and he disliked that. Restless...well that was new. “Something on your mind?” He asked, wondering if there was a reason behind her being restless.
“I can, I haven’t powered up in...weeks.” He answered honestly, no reason not to tell her the truth. Crossing the street as the light changed he ran his fingers through his hair. “I’m out actually - taking a walk. It’s nice out tonight, it’s cool.” And it felt nice against his skin, really nice and refreshing.

“I’m fine, just having one of those days you know?” Mei shrugged her shoulders with a half-hearted lopsided grin despite there being nobody around to see. “It’d just be nice to have family around.”
“If you could find a safe place to power up and send me the coordinates to your location I can run to where you are or we can meet up halfway?” Sprinting until her lungs felt like they were on fire was a sure way to clear her mind of most distractions. More than anything she needed her mind to just turn off and stop worrying so she could concentrate on more important things.

Nodding to what she said, he certainly understood, even though she couldn’t see him nodding his head. “Alright, I’ll spend the night with you.” If it helped his cousin he would spend the evening with her, even if he had to power up.
“I’ll find a safe place and let you know where I am. You should go find a safe place and do your thing as well.” She should find a safe place to power up so he could let her know where he was so she could head his way. So they didn’t pass by the other, or anything, he would let her head his way. He didn’t want to have them pass each other up or run toward some other signature, as there was no telling how many other powered people might be out this evening.

“Okay, I’ll wait to hear from you.” With that said Mei grabbed her side bag with a first aid kit and a bottle of water before heading out. When asked by her mother where she was going, her response was honest in that she had plans with her cousin for a few hours. It was easy to lie about plans when there was a partial truth associated with it.
A little over five minutes away was a thick wooded area that separated her neighborhood from the next; an area where storm water ran off into in times of heavy storms which made it into kind of a perpetual swamp mess. Fallen trees spanned the length of the algae infested waters.
Mosquitoes and gnats co-mingled in a swarm of insects above the rotting wood which she absently batted away with her free hand.
It was here, shrouded by the dense foliage, where Mei chose to power up. The clothes she wore and bag she carried disappeared along with the bottle of water all disappeared into that unknown place that kept everything preserved and intact and in their place she wore the clean white fuku with pink and grey trim. With a flick of her wrist Sidouer summoned her senshi phone and waited patiently for her cousin to power up and let her know where he was.

It was always easier to lie when there was some truth in it, because there was less to keep track of and less feelings of guilt - for those who felt such about lying. Fai was content with finding a place to duck into so he could power up, as he tended to keep his henshin pen with him despite rarely ever using it. In this city you just never knew - it was not a safe place to be. If he could he’d love to see his family move out of this city...though was it any safer elsewhere? Hadn’t Mei told him elsewhere was even more unsafe? There just wasn’t fighting to be seen in the streets like there was here. So maybe here was better...damn it.
As he took off the geta he wore he made his way up to a rooftop with some small amount of difficulty and stood waiting for a moment as he adjusted to the chill of being up higher. Funny how being higher up was colder but heat rose. Rolling his eyes he summoned his senshi phone and called to his cousin to let her know where he was.
He was in a less busy, more residential, area of the city as it was a nice place to walk and just...relax and enjoy the cool night air. There weren’t cars and people everywhere, there wasn’t a lot of businesses and other things which would lead to people wandering all about. There were cars parked all along the sidewalks but that was because the owners lived in the houses they were parked in front of. Garages just weren’t a thing in this area.

Twenty-five minutes passed by the time Sidouer finally got close enough to sense Cetus’ signature; at least she hoped it belonged to him since it was the only aura resonating from where he said he would be.
Another leap brought her close enough to make out his familiar green hair and uniform trim.
Life kind of seemed to happen after they had invaded the Negaverse stronghold and made off with starseeds and the code. Months had passed in what seemed like days and only now did Sidouer realize that, since their group returned to Earth, she hadn’t once reached out to Fai to make sure he was doing ok.
“Hey, sorry to keep you waiting.” Quiet clicks of golden heels tapped against the leveled roof top as she walked over to stand beside Cetus.

“It’s ok, it’s a distance from your home to here.” He answered as he glanced over his cousin, making sure she was well. Finding she looked well, healthy, he nodded his head once.
“What has you restless tonight?” He would have expected her to call someone else, someone more active than himself, if he was being honest with himself - which he was.
Glancing about, wondering where they would go, he waited to see if his cousin would talk to him and tell him whatever might be going on - if anything. He was, of course, assuming something was but he was capable of being wrong...but he liked to think he was right in his guesses especially if those guesses tended to be negative...then he really seemed to put his eggs into that basket. It was a habit, he was pessimistic by nature and always had been.
