-A note from our Captain-
No one likes rules.
I know I don't at least. And so to keep things fairly rules-lite over here, we only have four simple tenants to follow. If you keep in line with these, then there should never be a problem.
1. The Rule of Courtesy
Role play works off of a basic mechanic. That your fellow role players won't be jerks. Nobody wants that. I'm not saying your characters all have to be goody-two shoes, but that you as a roleplayer should be courteous. To strip this down to it's basics, these are some examples of breaking the rule of courtesy.
-Auto-hitting another player.
-Directing another players actions.
-Never allowing your character to face any hardship/injury.
-Belittling your companion's actions or character.
2. The Rule of Content
This is less of a rule more of a way to explain how new-content works. We want your help in making this story! You're part of the world here and you should help shape it. So I fully endorse making new topics, factions, etc, as long as you take the time to detail your work appropriately. If you need help doing so, feel free to ask a crew member. There are a few things that we want to stick around, just basics of the world that shouldn't change. Be sure to read the Archives ! We made this world for you, immerse yourselves!
-No new races without permission. If you are granted permission, be ready to fill out a information sheet about them in the Guild Archive.
-No overly-advanced technology (We've been very clear about what sort of world this is, if you have questions about the limits talk to the Captain or a VC. )
3. The Rule of Fun
"But you can't regulate fun!"
We know. And we don't plan to.
This is by far the most simple rule, yet often the most forgotten. We're all here to have fun. That's it. Have a good time, and don't stop others from having a good time.. Unless it violates one of the other rules, then report it to a Crew Member.
4. Respect the ToS
I know this one is obvious, but it requires saying again. Gaia has it's own rules that we each have to abide. Please respect the guild by respecting Gaia.
So to sum it up, Please copy this ♚ symbol and place it at the bottom
of your profile applications to show that you have read the above.
Placing that mark is a binding agreement to honor the ToS and
guild rules. If we don't see the symbol, it isn't going to get approved.
And that's that! Go make a character and get started!
