-Aquatic Animals-Yi'Luma: A large hippo-like creature that exists on the inland shores. Widely domesticated like cattle these are passive creatures unless riled. They provide skins, meat, and sweet milk which is used to make cheese, yogurt, and frozen treats. One must be careful around these creatures as they may be docile but around their young do they become fiercely protective. Their meat is juicy and tender, their fat is good for: Baking, fire starting, waterproofing, candle making, soap making, and even skin care to sooth the frigid climate's bite. They can hide under water for three hours before needing to surface for air and, while they do survive on plant matter, they are not picky about biting invaders with their strong beaks if riled. Their claws are fearsome but the main thing to worry about with a Yi'Luma is their sheer body weight, they will actively try to crush predators in self defense.
Hinodarthian :Hinodarthian is the northern crab which is half the height of a man. While this animal can be killed and each leg is a delicacy of crab leg with the tail being the top of the head similar to a lobster head. They are extremely fast, nimble, move quietly, and when stung by their stinger results in instant paralysis ( lasting 3-4 posts without aid, 2 posts with a remedy). They then drag their prey to the water and drown them before eating them and burying their eggs in the remainder of the stomach to hatch. They can be found near fishing holes as their favorite dish is humanoids.
Hafg'ufa:Hafg'ufa is known as the sea whale. One sea whale can feed a large village for months if brought down and its bones are worth their own weight in currency. Every part of the hafg'ufa is used. Even the blood which is actually purified water and not 'blood' as most would see it. They have a very hard hide and when attacked they sink deep into the icy depths of the water. Killing one is no easy challenge, let alone transporting it after. The grinded up bone powder of the Hafg'ufa can make herbs and plants full grown overnight thus it is highly sought after by leaders for their potentially doubled crop yields.
Hrokkall :The Hrokkall are a subspecies of eel that reside within the waters of the nation. They have a sharp bite and one must be wary of this as well as if they wrap themselves around your limb as the hairs on their body are spiked with poisonous barbs. Once stripped of skin, they are nothing but succulent meat best used for soups. Their eggs are a delicacy though they have a horrible smell and are deadly if undercooked, signs of said poisoning appearing within two hours of consumption.
Bingfeng:The are the sea pig. Great for tender meat, pork, and easy to catch. They feed off the seaweed and bacteria in the water. They are great for cleansing water and quick and easy stews and their snouts are rumored to have medicinal properties. They must be caught by fishing like all sea animals.
Lusca:Lusca is the basic fish found in both salt and fresh water. It is the mix of a fish and an octopus and, much to the humor of their hunters, these little devils can change their colors to hide when threatened. High breeding rates and healthy meat, not to mention a rather simple lack of intelligence, makes this fish a staple for the frozen lands and a common meat-source for a variety of cooking styles. Due to the natural oil in their bodies they actually help their predators remain in good health and the meat seems to 'swell' in the stomach to offer a well-fed feeling longer than most other native meats. They can grow up to 3ft long and roughly 45lbs.
Shina: A creature typically found in fresh water springs, deep in forests or mountain caverns. The Shina is a subspecies of Dragon and, though they come in many shapes and sizes, all share the bond of baring water magic. Fully grown their shoulder stands at 6ft, give or take a few inches between beasts, and their lengths can very a great deal based on the serpentine tail. Known to be peaceful creatures they are intelligent and often referred to as 'Water Spirits' for their habit of spreading the liquid about and helping plants thrive in their territories. Though quite capable of defending themselves they are slow to rile and, typically, prone to ignoring other creatures in favor of tending to their personal tasks.
