Bushi had gone through everything that he had in his store room, gathering up the things that could be useful for a baby in theory, and stacked them up in the front room. After that it was a matter of neatening up the store rooms in the house, with him doing his best to consolidate everything, neatly, into one room. It was a game of stacking, in which he put boxes on top of boxes, all of them lacking labels, but he knew what was where. Once that was done, and he was a sweaty mess that wanted to fall over and take a nap... work continued.

The open store room, which wasn't a store room anymore but was instead the baby's room, was then cleaned from floor to ceiling. That task was one that was made a little harder because the big change had called in Profit who wanted nothing more then to be under foot, to try to figure out what was going on, and why... which was cute. Turning to look at the growing bird he said to her, "We are going to have a youngling running around soon, Profit. I except you to keep an eye on him or her. I don't want anything to happen to the baby and I know for a fact that Kinfa get very big and you will make a good guard... bird."

Profit looked over at him, head cocked to one side, before she gave a chirping sound. She wasn't sure what he was talking about but she seemed to be willing to help out! Something that had him patting her on the head, "Alright, seems to be dust free in here so I should be able to let the Sprite see... though I am a bit on the smelly side... maybe I should rinse off first?" He lifted an arm, sniffing at himself, before shaking his head, "I will let her know then rinse off." Maybe she'd join him? A thought that had him grinning like an idiot before he went to find her.

Bushi spent a bit of time in a slight panic when he couldn't find Phaedra in her normal spots in the house. He set about searching high and low before a chirp from Profit drew his attention, "Hm? What is is, Profit?" He asked before he moved to follow along after the bright blue bird. He was glad that he did as he was lead to the door and he could see Phaedra outside with Aatos as opposed to being inside. She must be getting a bit bored, huh? Something that he felt a bit guilty about. He really was keeping her from doing a lot but he didn't want her to get too tired out or sick, instead just wanting her to rest up and... well, he wasn't sure. Rest up and just... make the baby?

Shaking his head he leaned outside, lifting a hand to wave at Phaedra, "Hey, Sprite. You doing alright? Do you need help with anything?" Wait... he was going to ask about a bath, not about that. He didn't want to seem as though he was trying to smother her with attention after all. Looking her over he then asked, "Did you want to see the room I cleaned up for the baby before I go to rinse off? Did you want to join me?"

Bushi gave a smile when she announced that she was fine, something that put his mind at ease. At least she was hanging out with Aatos, nobody would bother her if she was with the giant turtle since he was known to n** at anyone that tried to take anything that he was guarding. It was why he was best one to carry everything that Bushi had for sale, because thieves had to contend with Aatos. He was the best security money could buy... and having Profit along to squwak up a storm only made it that much better. Which had him thinking that he really should see about training the blue bird to look after the baby. At least that way if anything went awry the bird could let them know instantly.

As Phaedra started to get to her feet Bushi hurried over to her as quickly as he could, offering her a hand, "You alright? Want to take my arm? It's... a bit sweaty and dusty though so...maybe you don't?" He wasn't sure if he'd want to if he was a woman. As she mentioned instead of just a rinse having a full on, relaxing bath his eyes went wide and he nodded instantly, all for that idea.

"Eh? Your belly? Naw... now mine." He lifted his free hand to pat it before giving a chuckle. He was certain that since Phaedra had come to stay with him that he'd put on a few pounds due to her grand cooking. Not that he was complaining, only an idiot would complain over such good food after all.

"Booby trap the front yard? As tempting as that is to keep you safe I think I will refrain from at least that." He didn't want Phaedra to accidentally get trapped in one of them after all so he would need to figure out alternate protection methods, likely by using Aatos and Profit, but maybe he should consider other ideas too? A janarim 'guard dog', perhaps? As Phaedra took his arm, claiming that 'dirt never hurt anyone' he gave her a smile, "If you're certain, Sprite."

Starting forward toward the house he found himself laughing a bit as she said she'd have him beat out in a month, "Depends home much of your cooking I eat between now and then, I might keep pace with you." He said in a joking manner.

Leading the way he paused at one door, the one that was closed, and said, "This one is a maze of boxes stacked to the ceiling at the moment. Not exactly a place for you to go right now since it's a bit of a mess and I wouldn't want anything to fall on you. I got out everything I thought might be helpful for the baby but I'd like your opinion." He said, leading the way to the second store room which was now cleaned up, mostly empty, and awaiting the arrival of the baby. For the moment it seemed that her calling the baby 'little ones' was lost on the big man presently.

Bushi shook his head rapidly, "No, no, I don't mind doing this much for the baby. I had to go through everything in the room as it was so that I could better arrange it all." He explained, though a big part of it was the fact that he didn't want her to strain herself by picking up the various things that were in the room that might have been too heavy. It was best that he did it by himself he thought to himself, "Alright, the stuff over in the corner that I have stacked up was stuff that might be useful. Some baskets to put things in for the baby, a good sided basket that could be used as a bed for when the baby is still tiny, a dresser that was buried under a ton of other stuff." He said as they go closer to the stack of things that were still left in the room.

"I also put aside some gems that I found that are good for trading that we can use to trade for the other things that the baby will need." He said, glancing over at her, giving a nod as she said that she was 'sure the babies will love it' something that made him smile... then blink a few times, his head cocking to one side.

"Huh?" Wait, what? Babies? Didn't that meant more then one baby? It was obvious by the look on his face that his mind was whirling, trying to wrap itself around Phaedra's words, before he said, "Wait... babies? Like... more then one baby? How many? Did a healer tell you? Are you alright? Should you sit down?" He asked a bunch of questions in a rush, all of them coming out in a random order, the same order that they seemed to pop up in his mind.

"Whatever it is that we need you need only to tell me. I don't mind getting whatever our baby... well, babies need." He didn't know what was needed but he hoped that together the two of them would be able to find everything when they went to various market places... though given her growing size he worried that too much shopping might end up exhausting for her. He'd definitely have to put Aatos in charge of helping her get around.

Giving a shake of his head as she mentioned sitting down he said, "No, no... I'm alright it's just... surprising, you know? I mean... I never thought I would end up with any kids let alone two." He hadn't really thought that he would end up with a woman in fact since he hadn't really been looking. It was through some sort of divine intervention that she came to stand before him and it was through Essd and Hatald that he found himself where he was today.

"We will visit a healer when you're feeling up to it." He wondered for a moment if a healer could tell them exactly how many little ones she was having. He supposed that it depended on their skills? Shaking his head to clear his racing thoughts he asked, "Do we still want that bath? I can get things set up for if you are."

Bushi gave a bit of a smile before he said, "Well... I guess it's one way to get my heart going." He lifted a hand, patting it against his chest, before he continued, "It's not bad though, Sprite. I mean it's not like it's bad news, it's really not, it's just surprising." He wasn't expecting a lover or a family being in his future and now he found himself with both things. It was... great actually. He no longer had moments of feeling lonely with only Aatos and Profit to keep him company.

"Alright, I will get it set up for us." He said, wrapping an arm her he started toward the bathroom, "Once we get there you can sit down and wait while I set things up. It will only take a little while to get it all ready." Once they reached the bathroom he set about getting some large rocks that were set off to the side of the room, setting them in the fireplace that was in the bathing chambers, heating them up. Once they were on to heat up he grabbed a pair of buckets and went about the task that was running back and forth to the well to get water, filling the tub up two buckets worth at a time.

Giving Phaedra a smile as he carried in the last buckets he said, "There is always good exercise in setting up the tub." Something that he could use given all the amazing food that Phaedra made for him. Giving a smile he got some tongs, using them to pick the rocks up one by one, putting them in the tub, "Once these heat up the water I will take them out and we will be all ready for a bath. While they heat the water is there anything you need, Sprite?"

Giving a smile Bushi said, "It's alright, I am not really the sort to over do things when it comes to exercise." Not unless it came to something that would help him out in the future. Kind of like when he went running after kinfa in Tale so that he could get his hands on Profit. That was probably the most running around that he'd ever done. Despite that Bushi wasn't in bad shape per say, he was just a bit on the rounder side was all.

At the mention of a cloth to dry off with Bushi gave a nod of his head, "Alright, that I can do easily enough." He gave Phaedra a smile before he went to fetch some towels to dry off with. He'd need one for himself and then two for Phaedra, one for her and one for her hair. After finding three of them he returned, setting the towels down before he moved to check on the water, "Looks like it's ready." He said to to her before he went about getting the rocks off which were significantly cooler now that they'd transferred their heat into the water.

With the rocks gone he offered his hands to Phaedra so that he could help her to back to her feet once more.
