PREPARE FOR THE LOAD OF STARTERS.

Elpis was... Well, bored was an unerstatement.

The senshi was spendig time relaxed on a fire escape watching the street from her hiding place while simultaniously hurting her neck, and the senshi was entirely relaxed. It was entirely peaceful, which meant where some might visit a homeworld, Elpis was going to be bored and consider climbing things. All of them.

Not her fault it was quiet anyhow -- and the Super Senshi hummed, wondering where her cat even wenty.

Lopezite could tell there was an energy signature nearby; it didn't matter if she was Super rank or not, it was enough to compel him to approach. He didn't move quickly, thinking it wiser to give as much warning of his arrival as possible.

He had started off on the ground but ascended to a rooftop a few blocks away. He traveled the distance by hopping rooftop to rooftop, until finally his last leap had him landing on the same rooftop as the senshi. "'Hello," he greeted pleasantly enough.

He kept his hands in plain sight, as if to ensure she didn't think he was hostile.

"Are rooftops a popular Senshi hangout? I keep finding them up here."

"Can be." Elpis had indeed noticed the Chaos agent approaching. It wasn't alarming, but mentally she steeled for an attack until he spoke, and she turned, motioning.

"Less risk of running into the police at least. That could be a mess and I don't want to cause trouble I don;t need to." She chuckled. Sure, he was the 'enemy', but Elpis, even for invading, had her code of conduct damnit. That meant she defended herself, and she was going to be as honorable as possible - even look out for the weaker ones. Probably terrible strategy, but, it fit her well.

"Sailor Elpis, pleased to meet you." She nodded, and bowed. "I take it you're not used to senshi?"

"Not unused to Senshi. No more or less used to them than anyone else," he shrugged, brandishing a smile. "Lopezite," he introduced, extending a hand.

"Have you been a Senshi for very long?" he seemed like he was making general conversation and was simply just curious. He still expressed no hostility and had he not had had the alignment of a Negaverse agent, he almost seemed like he could have been a friend.

He didn't even seem like he was afraid of Elpis; it wasn't that he didn't realize she could be a threat, it was just that he didn't want to make her think she had to be threatening.

"Pleased to meet you." Elpis smiled, shaking his hand warmly. There was no reason to intimidate this poor boy -- he seemed nice, and reminded her a bit of Petra back as Sphalerite -- someone she resoected and was willing to talk to, maybe explain when able to lessen bloodshed. Whom knew. She winked then, nodding.

"Well, I've been around maybe a year, nearly two, so far as this whole magic thing is concerned. Not as experienced as some. How about you?"

No sense lying, really.

He nodded as he listened, taking in and assessing each word she spoke. "Not as long as you, by far. But I am enjoying the experience. It's very interesting, to think that some of us are involved and aware and so many are oblivious to the things around him. It's fascinating. I am still learning about the magic, though."

He shifted positions, clearly brimming with energy but trying not to be intrusive or obnoxious.

"You are strong. I like that. May I ask you a favor?"

He began to explain so she knew what he meant: "May I see your magic? --In friendly combat. Regulated, of course. Three moves each, and at the end, we are at a truce? No lethal blows, and no aiming for the face. Is that fair?"

"You get used to it, then it seems more ordinary." Elpis admitted. She listened, then -- truly listened. She liked this one -- he was like Petra had been as Sphalerite. Friendly, interested in learning, open -- and he seemed polite. The senshi nodded, and grinned.

"I don't mind if you'd like that." She beamed. "It's good practice, and, I do warn my magic has shrapnel. You'll want to brace for it." A pause, and the senshi motioned.

"You know.... If you're curious after, I don't mind talking more."

Chaos or not, he seemed like an OK guy.

"Shrapnel?" he prompted, seeming somewhat interested. He debated for a moment and then nodded, figuring that was worth exploring. It sounded like the most dangerous type of magic he'd heard of so far.

"I appreciate that. Are you ready?" he asked, taking a wider stance. It was clear that he was preparing for battle. He summoned his weapon--something that appeared to be a worn, leather sheath. It was as long as his forearm and held its shape well, but it didn't seem particularly intimidating.

He didn't seem like he wanted to appear particularly intimidating. He offered an encouraging smile and gestured for her to begin.

"Mmhmm. Metal shrapnel." Elpis nodded, even as she assumed a combative stance of her own. The senshi was unarmed, and well geared for the fight, but she seemed almost-- not quite but almost - too calm. Still, sparring and fighting were getting to be old hat, and the senshi smiled, nodding to indicate her own readiness.

"I'll let you set how fair you want to go -- but I don't like making dirty moves." She admitted patiently. War or not she refused to be a jackass - after all, if she didn't want cheap tricks used on her...

And the senshi twitched to indicate she was about to move before lunging to swing a punch.

Lopezite watched; he kept his eyes trained on her for physical moves. Those, he could see and try to avoid. It was the magic that he worried about. Each Senshi had different abilities and there was no way to predict what they would do--or when they'd be cast.

He avoided the punch by side stepping, opting to attempt a punch of his own to her side. "No dirty moves," he insisted, though seemed to want to clarify, "Actually--what do you count for a dirty move?"

Oooohhh, good. A challenge. With her brother busy with the baby, Elpis hadn't had a sparring (or, well, wrestling) partner in a few months, and the senshi beamed in excitement at the duck, the brief distraction earning a sideblow. She grunted, and grinned wider.

"No aiming for the family jewels or approximate region, no lethal areas -- and if one of us has a health matter crop up or gets knocked too hard no kicking when we're down."

She hated thinking of that happening, but even in the Castle, she'd tried respecting her opponent.

"Y'know. Common courtesy."

And, she mentally noted, she'd probably make sure this one was alright after their match. He seemed a good sort, and Negaverse or not, invasion or not, he was a person that she was curious about. So why not look after the poor guy?

The senshi watched, before suddenly taking another swing, tilting her head.

"That said it's fine to jump on someone and tackle." She said patiently. "Wrestling in general is fine, I just want to keep it reasnably fair and make sure we both make it home okay."

And not hospitalized.

Lopezite laughed good-naturedly, despite the fact that she managed to give him a good knock on the side. He rubbed at his arm instinctively and, judging from the power behind the blow, he was confident that he'd be sporting a nice bruise.

There was little chance to converse between blows, but as he adjusted his position he managed, "Oh, well then yes, of course--common courtesy. But then, that must mean that this is allowed?"

He turned quickly, swiping his leg as fast as he could behind hers as he tried to catch the back of her knees. The goal didn't seem to hurt her; instead, it seemed as though he was only attempting to knock her off her balance, if not send her sprawling to the floor.

Elpis beamed, continuing to move for several moments. She could tell he was focused, tell he was concentrating on the sparring match and not conversation - but maybe she could see if he'd chat later. Sparring was well and good, but he seemed a good sort, chaos or not. Chaos was merely disorder, in many ways' entropy to creation, and one needed the yin of it to have yang, as it were. Balance was a good thing. It was compromising one's values that was wrong.

And then Lopezite spoke, broke her fromthought and focus, and the senshi was knocked off balance, falling flat on her back before pausing, blinking as a moment passed in stunned silence... And she began to laugh.

"Yeah, that's totally fine!" She admitted, grinning. "Bless you, you actually grasp a fair fight."

"Oh," he said, laughing with her. "Are you alright there?" he extended a hand to help her up. "You didn't hit your head, did you? I've gotten concussions from less blows than that, I'm afraid to say. Do you want to call it a night? I'd be more than willing to try this again later. You are a good sparring partner. I confess, now that I've had time to think about metal shrapnel, I've somewhat shied from the idea!"

"I'm fine." Elpis chuckled still, grinning and taking his hand, more than willing to accept the assistance up. She liked him -- he seemed like the sort she'd enjoy hanging around -- maybe as a friend. Alas, if only he wasn't a Chaos agent. Still, it was nice to have a new friend, ad the senshi nodded.

"I'd like to do this again -- or even just chill, if you want. It would be pretty fun." She vaguely shrugged, but beamed. "Yanno, powered, but hey. It might be fun?"
