Tau had only just gotten home, he had thrown his shoed to the side and was ready to relax, preferably with his wife, but he would be happy without if she was in one of her moods.

He grinned as he saw her walking through the hallway door with her cute little snare already on her mouth. She also didn't like when he put his dirty feet up on the furniture.

"Hey pretty lady, what can I do for you today?" He joked with a grin.

It had been a long day anyways, he was always off doing something, usually with his scorra at his side, and it was his turn to hunt for the week while Liira took her time off. It was a good middle ground. She could shop or do whatever the women liked to do in their spare time, and he would be with his scorra.

Liira was enjoying her day off. She had cleaned a little bit, lounged around, didn't really do much, and then before she could finish enjoying it, she heard the door bang open and the stomping and racketing that meant Tau was home.

She grimaced at the noises and the mess she knew was coming with it and walked out into the family room. Her eyes locked onto Tau's feet and she let out an agonized whine. "What you can do for me is get your damned feet off of our stuff." She said while slapping away Tau's feet.

Tau saw the look on Liira's face, that look of 'I'm going to hurt you soon' and it set Tau into a grin. Even when his feet were slapped away and back onto the floor he couldn't help himself. "Fine fine, but why don't you come here and sit with me then?" He tried to persuade his wife to do it, but she didn't look like she was gonna bite any time soon.

"We can relax. I worked hard today and need the rest."

Liira couldn't help but scoff at what she was hearing. "You worked hard? What about me? I work all day to keep this place clean and you just go and put your dirty sweaty feet everywhere." She pushed him in his spot before she sighed and plopped herself down on the couch beside him.

"Did you get anything good?" She asked him.

Now that she was off of her feet she could really fee the pain start to sink in. Her feet had been tender lately, among other things, and she figured now was as good a time as any to bring up what she had been keeping to herself until she knew it was true and not just her imagination.

He brought an arm around Liira, letting her sink into him and watched with raised eyebrows as her own feet somehow found the couch. He made a mental note, he would have to bring that up later and poke at her with it.

With a tilt and a crack of his neck he answered her. "Just a couple of poscuta, nothing big this time. But I think we have enough already saved that we can tone the hunting back a bit." He offered. They had saved and preserved a couple of fairly sized aldabuk, it would be enough for a couple of weeks at least along with their smaller catches.

Liira shook her head slowly before answering Tau. "We may have to start pulling in more game soon." She hinted. She was excited, but she didn't want to make it too easy for Tau. She would wait to see if he caught on.

Tau cocked his head to the side, his face that of confusion. More meat? "Umm... are we trying to stock up for something? Do you think game's going to be harder to get soon? I know it's technically winter time, but Tale doesn't have a winter, so... I think you might be worrying for nothing." He shrugged her worries aside.

There was no reason for them to pile on more meat. There was only so much the house would hold to begin with, and why fill up the room if they don't need to?

Liira watched Tau try to politely tell her she didn't know what she was talking about with a smirk slowly spreading on her face. She tried to play along for a little while longer.

"No, I don't think game's getting harder to find, I just think we're going to be expecting some company soon." She trailed off, trying to let herself build up to it. She was getting excited and she felt her face getting warmer, wiling Tau to catch on and get the hint.

Tau's look of confusion only spread farther on his face. "Company?" He chewed on the word, trying to figure out who could possibly be coming to stay with them that they would need more food. They were a self contained family. His mother and brother already lived with them, and Liira's family lived in Zena. It wasn't like they would be coming down to visit; Tau and Liira were already planning a trip up, it just wouldn't make sense.

The odd look on Liira's face had him thinking deeper. "That smile..." He trailed off as he thought about their conversation only a few weeks ago. "No..." he responded incredulously. "You're not..."

It was too soon, wasn't it? How could she even know for sure?

She could see the realization slowly sink onto his face and his eyes getting wider. Liira's grin only got bigger, she hoped he wasn't dumb enough to make the wrong assumption.

"I ammmmm." She dragged out the word. "We're adding one more to the family buddy, you better be ready." She laughed out and put a hand on her stomach.

She hadn't been able to keep food down for the past week, and judging by what had happened when she was pregnant with Tyyn, she would guess she was already a couple months along. "This will be a summer baby, I can feel it."

Tau grinned and grabbed Liira, bringing her in for a passionate kiss and a tight bear hug. "We only just talked about it, how? What? I mean, well I know how, but man I'm good." He grinned. He was potent that was for sure. Just think about a new baby and Tau delivers. He felt his chest puff up in pride.

"So... does that mean you don't want to travel to Zena? Or the market?" He wondered, still wrapped tightly around Liira. They had planned to go to Zena and visit her family, and the Sauti market was right on the way. If Liira wasn't up to the trip then that would mean that Tau wouldn't need to feel that ridiculously cold weather. And he was all for that. Anything for his family, right?

Tau's silly comments only had her laughing out. Of course he would try to take the credit for it. She pushed his arm and pulled herself out of the hug. "Oh yeah sure, it was all you." She rolled her eyes.

He brought up their trip and she grinned a wicked grin, her head shaking slowly. "Uh uh, nope. You are not getting out of it that easy. We're taking the trip, we're seeing my parents, and they're going to get the great news in person." Being pregnant wasn't going to stop her from doing anything.

He felt himself deflate in front of Liira when she refused to let them cancel the trip. "Ughhhh if you say so." He grumbled before brushing it off and coming to his next question. "Have you been to a healer yet? Do we need to see someone or do something?"

He put a hand to his chin and started thinking aloud. "We may need a bigger place if we're adding more to the family."
PostPosted: Thu Dec 29, 2016 6:36 am

She shook her head. "Not yet, I was waiting until I was further along, until it was worth seeing the healer. We're not there yet." She rubbed her still small belly. She wouldn't be ready to see a healer for another month at least.

"Orrr...." she trailed off, trying to answer his thoughts even though she wasn't so sure he wanted any input from her. "Or. We can get our own place." She prodded gently. Tau was always touchy when Liira suggested moving out. "Your brother is basically full grown and he can take care of your mother. We need our own space with the baby. It doesn't even have to be far." She tried to reason with him before he could shut her down.

Tau listened to Liira's suggestion, but his grin and happiness dimmed as she continued to speak. "I- well... I don't-" he stumbled on his words. She made sense, she always did, but Tau's heart wasn't one to change when it came to his family. He grumbled and ran over the logistics of it all. He let out a sound of agony, his own reasons failing him. "I guess he is getting older now. He's going to need his own space. And he can take care of Mom." He ran over everything in his head again, but still couldn't come up with a reason why Liira wasn't right.

"But we need to be close by." He added in. He wasn't about to let Liira trick him into moving to Zena or some nonsense like that.
