 When both trolls are seated and the game's headset is in place, a large GameBro logo appears, and a warning page appears. The fine text scrolls past too fast to read and soon a character creation screen appears. Players can choose from a selection of medieval weapons; swords, shields, spears, bow and arrows, and plenty more. As soon as you've finalized your character a voice instructs each player on basic game mechanics and lets them practice. A countdown begins, and at the end your teleported to a large arena, only one other troll in sight. Each turn roll 2D6, the first dice, hit accuracy hits on a 3-6. If the first dice is a hit it deals the 2nd D6 of damage.

HP: 20/20 Damage: Caiden saw the booth and knew he had to drag Engrav over to play. "ENGRAV ENGRAV!" Caiden said, dragging his friend over to the booth. The boy jumped into the next available seat and immediately pulled the helmet over his head. "HURRY UP ENGRAV! Its soo COOL in here! Its like another world or something!" Caiden proceeded to babble through the entire character creation process as well, weather Engrav could hear him was another story.

HP: 20/20 Damage: 0 Engrav slipped the VR helmet over his head, and a whole world sprung to life in magical fidelity. Green grass and lush trees grew around the two trolls, and they faced each other on either side of a large circle carved into longer grass. Small indents ran from the center of the circle to either side, where the two contestants faced each other. From somewhere above them a loud, booming voice rang out.
CONTESTANTS. CHOOSE YOUR WEAPONS.Suddenly a rack of martial equipment sprang from the ground, as if from nowhere. Swords and battleaxes, maces and morningstars were piled high on it. Engrav took a look over it for a moment, then swiped his hand to the left. Another rack took it's place, bristling with weaponry just as before. Engrav pulled a dusty spiral staff from the rack, and gave it an unpracticed swing. Sparks fizzled from the end. Well, he supposed it would do. He grabbed an old book as well, with some kind of glowing glyph emblazoned on the cover, and tucked a wicked looking knife into his shirt sleeve as well. Never knew when something like that might come in handy. Engrav's clothes changed suddenly into long, flowing robes. He supposed that it was the system trying to make him buy into this fantasy, but he really had no idea what it was trying to say here. Also, it looked like they would have smelled, if they really existed. Oh well. He looked into the book momentarily, and was surprised to find instructions written clearly and legibly relating to hand gestures and specific words he should chant. not expecting much, he waved hs hands and shouted "Thunder, heed my call! Salna!" He was just as surprised as Caiden when a shower of sparks shot from his hand. Engrav has MISSED!

HP: 20/20 Damage: 3 Caiden saw swords. Caiden saw bows and axes and hammers. He saw long sticks and silly glittery sticks, and then he saw the lute. Caiden immediately picked it up. He had seen a troll play something like this on a show once. The boy was a little puzzled about why such an amazing object was among all the weapons, but his joy at having such a cool thing overcame that immediately. Caiden, as soon as he entered the game, squealed and ran over to Engrav. He was at first surprised, and then enthralled by the shiny sparks that went flying from Engrav's odd looking weapon. "WOW ENGRAV I KNEW YOU WERE MAGIC!" But Caiden also wanted to show his friend his cool new item. "ENGRAV ENGRAV LOOK!!" Caiden pulled out a lute, and, by pushing some buttons randomly, his character hit Engrav over the head with the instrument. "Um, whoops?"

HP: 17/20 Damage: 0 Engrav saw the life bar over his character's head decrease with a quiet "blip". Caiden had hit him over the head with a lute! That had to be against the rules or something. Oh, it was ON. Caiden thought he could defeat him with an outdated wooden instrument? Engrav was a channel for the primal forces of the universe! The eldritch forces of time, space, and energy bowed to his every whim! Caiden was simply a fool with a guitar before the majesty of the power at his very beck and call. He would obliterate him. Not just obliterate him, but remove him from this plane of existence. Engrav chanted rapidly, waving his staff above his head and calling the elements. Wind whipped up, and suddenly there was a storm blowing heavy overhead, the sky dark with lightning and thunder. He could tell something was brewing with his character, and he threw his hands out desperately in an effort to try and contain whatever it was. A bolt of brilliant fire flew from his hands and scorched the earth before him, blackening and twisting the shoots and grass that grew there. He yelled in triumph. He had harnessed lightning! Of course, Caiden was in the complete opposite direction. But maybe he'd think twice with his stupid lute now. Engrav has MISSED!

HP: 20/20 Damage: 0 "WOW ENGRAV!" Caiden exclaimed, skipping over to the burnt spot. The boy bent down to get a better look, awkwardly moving the joystick until his character was lying flat on the ground. "You REALLY got that plant! It was an evil plant wasn't it?!" Asked Caiden, still sure that his friend was a secret superhero.

HP: 17/20 Damage: 0 Stand riiiiight there, Caiden. Don't move a muscle, Engrav thought, whipping up another blast of vermillion lightning. Or at least he tried to. He must have gotten a hand gesture wrong or something cause he just show flowers out of his upraised palm. Maybe a little glitter too. Magic was hard. Engrav has MISSED!

HP: 20/20 Damage: 0 "SO COOL!" Caiden yelled as the flowers appeared. The boy could swear he saw one of the lilies sneeze out some glitter. Engrav was so magic! Immediately the boy attempted to get up off the ground he had managed to lay on, and go pick up the flowers. "These are for me, right?"

HP: 17/20 Damage: 1 Ok, so magic was complicated. Fine. Ciaden was gathering flowers all over the ground and rolling in glitter, so Engrav just walked up and bonked him on the head. BONK! "Hey grub-brain, the point of the game is to fight. Flowers later."
Engrav has STRUCK FOR 1 DAMAGE!

HP: 19/20 Damage: 4 "OWIE!!" Exclaimed Caiden, although he didn't really feel any pain. It was more the surprise than anything. Caiden shuffled over the controls, not really sure what was what. He had played games before, but they were mostly joystick and one button games, this was an entire new playing field. Somehow the brownblood pushed the correct buttons and he watched as his character lept into song, the musical symbols assaulting the mage.

HP: 13/20 Damage: 0 Ow. Ow ow OW. Stupid what was he attacking him with music? How did that even work? He tried desperately to do the next ritual in the book, but only succeeded in making a light snow begin to fall. Those stupid attacks were distracting, and this spell thing took a lot of concentration! "Hey! No fair!" Engrav has MISSED!

HP: 19/20 Damage: "Yeah?" Caiden said, pouting, "Well if we are supposed to be fighting why did you make this snow?" The brownblood proceeded to get down into the wet white stuff and make snowballs. Oh this would be a fight, A SNOWBALL FIGHT!

HP: 13/20 Damage: Engrav ignored the snowball as it whistled overhead. He had bigger things to think about. "I think you're got the right idea there, Caiden!" engrav yelled, cocking back his arm. "Casiatum!" He threw what looked like a glob of acid right into Caiden's character's chest, and his clothes began to smoke and burn. "Yes!" Engrav yelled. "I'm winning!"
