The lights flickered on as the soft amber glow of twilight passed sooner than most would have liked. People had begun to go home, and those that lingered were the ones who had jobs. Easy prey- tired and in between motions.
But while pyrite say her usual human prey, she also noticed new prey.
Senshi prey. Sure, corrupt senshi, but they had better starseeds and didn't do anything. senshi were prey. All were. Surely, they'd let her have her fill?
Stalking the corrupt, Pyrite sang out as she drew near.
"Come play little one, come play before dinner time." It was almost seven. In the window of a closed store, there was a poster warning of attacks happening with rising frequency in the area.

It was late, she hadn't meant to be out so late and her Pops was likely worried, if he wasn't sleeping or at work already. She couldn't remember what his schedule was this week because too much had been happening around her and she couldn't concentrate.
Rory couldn't remember when she'd shifted from Rory to Sailor Hydra as she hurried home, keeping out of the light and generally avoiding people around her. There was a nagging sensation in the back of her mind that went danger, danger but in her haste to get home she ignored it.
A mistake that would prove costly as someone approached her and spoke with a voice and tone that sent chills down her spine.
"I'm not here for games," she said, voice strong despite the pattering of her heart and the shake of her hands.

Games? Oh yes games! Pyrite's smile was wide as she clicked her tongue and tapped boots to pavement. How fun. Maybe this night would be exciting. She did so long it when prey made it fun. "But you are. Didn't you hear?" She summoned her daggers spinning them in her hand. Back and forth suddenly the motion changed. "Tick tock. Night falls and this is my playground. I get all the pieces to myself." Pyrite darted forward slashing with the short of the two blades. "And you're going to stay and play with me won't you little pawn?"

Everything about the captain screamed danger and Hydra wanted desperately to reach for her crystal and call someone to help her. At the same time, she didn't want to bother Aurostibite for something that could be nothing and what if she called upon the others only to endanger them. Her friendships with them were too new and tentative, she couldn't risk that.
No, she could handle this herself.
She refused to be intimidated by someone spouting loony things at her. "No, I don't thinks so," she said sounding stronger than she felt. Then she lifted her arms and concentrated, ground rumbling around her and the wave beginning to build.istoleyurvamps Hydra spreads her arms open and there is a low rumbling/vibration beneath her feet and water rises before her reaching a height of 8ft pushing forward and slamming down on her opponent. Hydra must allow time for the wave to rise before she releases it otherwise it will not be as effective. It takes approximately 20 seconds for the wave to reach full height. If they are within 5ft of her, they will experience mild vibrations. If hit, the person feels as though they drenched in water for at least one minute. The wave does not discriminate between allies and enemies, everyone is collateral damage. Usage: 3 Mechanics: Hydra summons the wave in one post, attacks in the next. She can be interrupted in the middle of summoning and either the wave fails completely or is released with less potency.

Pyrite was unstable on the best of days. Wild, erratic, and uncontrollable. What set her off could be anything. It was typically magic however, and while some magic, like the likes that came from generals or youma were fine? Magic, from any senshi or cat had the woman reeling, screaming, and lusting for blood. Gold veins cracked further on her skin as she watched the corrupt senshi call upon her magic, hate and fury rising in the captain as the water came. "No!" She screamed, daggers brought up as she ran towards the senshi. "I'll kill you. You and you starseed- crush it, rip it, break it! You're scum, disgusting, alien, vile senshi scum!" She didn't care about her own well being as she fell from the shaking, getting up, madness in her eyes and voice. "I'll kill your kind!"

Hydra hadn't expected the crazy lady to come rushing at her, even though she should have, because usually people froze up around her when it came to her magic. It made her panic, wave only half risen with a few more seconds to go before it'd reach full potency and she threw it forward in her haste.
She didn't even wait to see if it would hit, eyes screwed shut as she tried to calm the panicked hammering of her heart.
When they opened, she dropped her hands and started to run, because there was no way in hell she was going to stick around to see if crazy was all washed up or not.

The inhuman scream that chased Hydra was from the mouth of Pyrite as she was sent sprawling down under the wave. It sent her back to the ground as water crashed around her, enough time for the senshi to flee, and to send the woman into a madness induced frenzy. The next day, the area would report extensive property damage, and Pyrite would have nothing to show for it, except deeper gold veins that had begun to crawl up her arms.
