Irro paddled idly around the pool, this time it was a sheltered area with an overhang, so she was able to be out and about in the daylight, she was most delighted with this, no one was around, Qora would be back soon and she was free to exersize lavishly as was her want. She worried about him sure, but he would be back, he was able to take care of himself now. So she wasn't as worried as she would have been before when he had had nothing, now he had found parts of himself and her, he had something. She craved his presence but it was also nice to have some alone time to herself, he was occasionally a bit overbearing, which she kinda liked truth be told, when he wasn't frustrating the crap out of her.

Qoraekai had just returned from the city. He had been doing a little investigative work trying to figure out what the "cult" was up to. There were still a lot of things that didn't make sense to him but that was why he took many trips to many different cities to speak to many different people to try and get the full story. He stood on the outside of the sheltered area, his hood up to protect his delicate skin, as he watched his love wade through the pool. He watched her lovingly, not in any means looking like a creep though watching a woman idly in a pool might come off as such. They had found each other in quite a horrible place in his life, and Qora thought that that was maybe why he appreciated her so much. "You could be a goddess in the flesh and no one would ever think to question you." He said suddenly, but sweetly.

She smiled back and waggled her eyebrows at him, "And where would a goddess be without her god by her side?" She was glad he was back in one piece with full humor. This was her favorite version of him, the flirty one. "Care to catch me? Then I might let you keep me." She paddled to the far side of the pool and gave him sultry eyes. This was a fun game, with somewhat serious consequences, he should never know that she wanted to be caught. That he meant more to her, then anything else in this world, her pale flame.

The corner of his mouth twitched upwards in a smirk. She always knew how to drive him up a wall, or down one, or anywhere she wanted really. Irro just always knew what to say when to say it, but he wouldn't give in that easily. "I'd no sooner steal all the treasure you've hoarded at home." Qora teased. He did, however, slip into the water after taking off his cloak. "I think you might be a fire that will never be tamed. And truth be told, it's why I love you." There was always a hint of seriousness when he talked with the one he loved. He was always a little sarcastic and tended to make light of things that probably ought not to be. Irro brought out a whole different side of him which he didn't really mind. "Even if I chose not to catch you, could I still keep you?" He asked innocently. Sure the chase was half the fun but he was in it for the long run, more than just in it for fun.

He always managed to frustrate her, it was a constant battle between them, but she didn't know what it was over just that it was never boring with him. True to her nature she responded. "No." Even though she didn't mean it. If he didn't chase her then she wouldn't chase him. But no matter how far apart they separated they were drawn back together somehow like magnets. She greatly liked the fire comments though and swished her butt at him in reward. He was coming for her and she was excited. It was very much a hunter hunted relationship when they flirted but it could flip and change like a forest fire in the wind depending on their mercurial personalities. Flare hot and turn cold and back within a short space of time. She longed to be near him, but she had started the game and laid the rules so it was up to her to come through with it.

Qora raised an eyebrow at her response. "No?" He echoed except as a question. Honestly, there was no doubt that he was hers and she was his. There was a fire between them however that needed to be constantly stoked yet even if it were to extinguish, only a few pokes at the coals would renew that flame. The oban took his time on his way towards her, Irro's flirting never missed. "I suppose I shall have to be vigilant then, to ensure no one steals my treasure....hmm?" Again, another eyebrow raise accompanied by a smirk. He would slowly go to her, to build up the anticipation yet he had something up his sleeve, maybe.

She wrinkled her nose, she was going to bite him and that smirk right off his face. That was his HAHA I'm torturing you and I know you know it look that she hated and lived for. She hissed a little and scooted to the other end, what was he doing? He had an evil glint that he didn't let show but she KNEW it was there. She felt like pouncing him now to escape whatever torment she knew was coming. It was never ever boring with them. She stuck her tongue out and kept walking eventually diving as fast as she could.

"When did you turn into one of those serpent things from Yael?" He asked jokingly at her hiss. Qora continued his pursuit after her as she somewhat walked and somewhat swam away from him. She wasn't going to make this easy on him. That's why he decided to actively pursue her, she was a tease and she knew it. "Irro. Qora asked in all seriousness yet not stopping his advances. He had a serious question that he wanted to ask her.

She turned her head to look at him curiously as she wriggled away, "Yes my love?" His voice told her it was serious but they could talk seriously and play like little kids at the same time, that was the beauty of there relationship. She slowed a little cause she was distracted, drifting a little bit but still making inroads at escape. Curiousity would get the better of her though and he probably knew it.

The distance between them began to close as Qora knew her curiosity was getting the better of her as she began to not slip further away when she did so. This was how things just went between them, always some little tension but never enough to hurt their relationship. "I was thinking..." Should he just come right out and say it? Or should he make her wait some more...the oban really couldn't decide what to do. He sighed a little frustrated sigh as he made up his mind. "Do you want a family? Like -- a family with me? With kids and stuff? And be my wife?" Qoraekai didn't have quite the amount of bravado that he normally did and his advances slowed on their own in his own seriousness. There was always the chance she would say no, wanting to keep their relationship as it was. Yet as his feelings for her grew, he knew he couldn't ignore them and he had to ask her. What would she say?

Well if he had turned into a blowfish at that point she couldn't have been more surprised, and what an attractive blowfish it would have been too. She froze, her jaw dropping just a little. "You want children with me?" Her heart fluttered. "But I'm just me!" In a rare fit of humbleness she was quite stunned. "I.. arn't you worried they would come out all spotty like me?" She was at times still unsure about her beauty about what people thought, about what Qora thought. "I want a family with you, more than anything." To think that she could have a little son who looked like his Daddy. "I never thought to even dream Qora but it is the thing that would mean everything to me." "I want to be your wife, to have you as my husband. I would be proud to be so. As long as you will have me." "I'm sorry I still get a little nervous about my skin sometimes." She hung her head. He was so beautiful and she was well spotty.

Qoraekai was pretty shocked at her answer at first. How could she think she was anything but extraordinary? He hurried over to her, instantly wanting to comfort her and assure her of what he already knew. "Irro. That is the last thing I am worried about. You are the most unique and special person I have ever met. Essd (Queen of Gods, goddess of life and death) and Hatald (Goddess of fertility, marriage, and women) worked together to make you the most splendid creature to ever walk this land. You are more valuable than those shiny treasures you chase. Worth more than any jewel or gem you could ever find. Have more warmth than any pelt could ever provide. The goddesses knew you needed an exterior to match what a special being you would be. Don't you doubt yourself for even a second. And if you do, know that I never will." He reached her then, and cupped her face in his hands before planting a small yet sweet kiss.

Irro's eyes watered and she sobbed just a little, before flinging her arms around her mate. "Oh Qora that is the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me." She held him close as they stood there in the water. He had said the absolutely perfect thing to her. Invoking gods of all things in her creation, now if that wasn't flattery she didn't know what was! This was the gentle side of the pair so rarely seen but that was an integral part of them none the less.

Gently he wiped away the few tears that she shed. "It wasn't my intention to make you cry, happy tears or no." His voice was as soft as his touch. "I really do mean it, Irro." They stood there and embraced for a few moments longer before he held her at arms length. "No matter what our children would look like, I would love them the same. Any family we would have, I would love and cherish. Having a family was something I never really thought I might have, but now with you, it seems totally possible and suddenly became something I wanted very very much." He smiled down at her. At that, he had to laugh at himself a little as he released her with one hand, running it through his hair. "I'm being kind of sappy aren't I?" A small grin returned to his face.

"I know you didn't mean to luv, but I can't help it," she grinned at him. "I will too, they will be wonderful," and hopefully they didn't get Qora's evil smirk, that expression could be weaponized. "I wasn't ever really sure anyone would want kids with me, especially not from my own village, I had to go and find someone just as special." No common leaf lad would have done. None she was sure would have had her, but here she had been gifted with the most wonderful albeit frustrating man ever. "I really want it too, its not just you."
