Night time was a time that Alphard enjoyed for two reasons. One being that he didn't have a reason to fear being costumed up looking like a media slated terrorist. Two being that he had super powers. Three being he could fight the good fight and be amazing and cool and man having powers was just wild. Current on that night's agenda was get street taco, maybe chill down in the market square before going around to patrol. AT least that had been the plan. A nearby energy signature tipped him to get to work sooner than expected. Sooner than even street tacos. So, turning a corner and seeing a senshi Alphard whistled. "Excuse me I-" That's when it hit him. She was a corrupt senshi. A small seed of nausea rose up, remembering the battle in the rift. "You shouldn't BE here."

You shouldn't be here.
Hydra had been hearing that a lot lately and it made something twist inside of her. She turned at the sound of the whistle but her face had fallen when he kept speaking. With a lump in her throat she stepped forward, hands shaking at her sides.
"Who are you to say that I don't belong here?" She asked, an icy edge to her quiet voice that still managed to carry across the distance. "You don't know a thing about me." Her jaw ticked in her frustration and she stopped walking, long hair billowing behind her.
"What makes you belong here and not me?"

Alphard shook his head like he was trying to find the right words. But it was hard to. His emotions over the corrupt senshi were complex and while he pitied them, they were in fact, traitors in a way? Maybe by choice even he'd been told. "Metaphorical. Senshi shouldn't be all-" His hand motioned to her up and down. "Wrong." He took a deep breath in and couldn't suppress the frown. "You might look cute miss, but you're wrong. On the inside. Unnatural you know?" Maybe she didn't. "I can't let you just walk around and hurt people. Not while I can stop you from that anyway."

There was a strong part of Hydra that wanted to slap the older senshi across the face. Her cheeks were stained red with a mix of frustration and anger. The hands at her sides were trembling as she reigned in her impulsive desire to lash out at him. Not now, she needed to wait.
"You don't get to tell me that I'm wrong just because it's not what you think is best for me," she said in a low, barely trembling voice. "You don't know who I am, what I'm capable of or what I've done. You don't get to judge me!" There was venom lacing every word and it was obvious that if Alphard didn't stop, she would be explode.
"I'm not hurting anyone! I refused to be considered less because I exist! What the hell is wrong with you?"

It was Alphard who look scandalized at her reply. Because she was right in that way he could respect but this was bigger than them- this was about space and magic and a bunch of other weird stuff that they had to do. Then, he opened his dumb mouth to give her an answer. "You're corrupted, I'm not. Shouldn't that say enough? I'm not the one who's wrong. You are."

Maybe it was her youth, but her frustration showed openly, obviously in the way she held herself like a child about to throw a tantrum. She was doing her best to contain the little ball of fury that was beginning to blossom in her chest and her entire body, all five feet and three inches, trembled from the exertion.
"Why are you being such a bully?!" She cried, voice crackling and looking for all the world like she might cry.
She shook her head at him, breath easing out of her mouth shakily. "You can take your opinion and shove it right back down your throat!" Without thinking, she stomped forward and raised her hand to slap him across the face.istoleyurvamps alphard i hope you feel bad for picking on a teenage girl

Oh man, not fair. He didn't mean to make her cry. s**t. But he figured he did deserve the slap. He usually did. "Christ!" It stung, and he looked up, making sure she wasn't going for some kill move. "Look I-" He shook his head, hair falling over his face. This was yet another reason being a senshi was wild. Complicated and he never signed up for this nasa program to start with. Heck, he just wanted to get by everyday and not get caught with weed when he walked by a cop. "Taking energy without asking- thats like robbery you know. And on a more intimate level its like.. you... know..." He didn't use the r word. "Being corrupted means somebody went in and messed with your soul. Doesn't that freak you out? It's not even an opinion- somebody messed you up and now you're stuck doing some messed up stuff. It's like a bad relationship. Ya gotta cut if off and get away and out." he pulled his hair back, wondering how to make sure she didn't cry. "I'm just supposed to stop you from doing the bad stuff. Maybe try to get you out? I dunno. Nobody ever explains things very well."

"You're making so many assumptions!" She huffed, glaring up at him as she stayed, crowded in his space. "How do you know that I don't ask before I drain or that I'm just - ugh. Ignorance is so ugly!" She shook her head, hair fluttering around her in waves.
In her frustration she lifted both hands and shoved her palms against his chest, hoping to shove him back. "You don't know me, you don't get decide that you know what's best for me or that I don't understand anything."
She shook where she should, torn between hitting him or using magic or simply running away.
"You're no better than what you think we are. Not like this."

"So what? You just go up to folks and ask?" He couldn't help the mocking tone. "Girl, hasn't anyone taught you about power dynamics? A powerful person with abilities that break known laws of physics asks you for a little bit of energy- really? You think people would give that because you ask nicely?" He shook his head. "Stupid is what that is. Thats like asking a dealer to give you a discount when you have a gun in their face. Of course they'll give you a discount. They're not stupid." Shoved, he shoved her back shaking his head and sneering in disgust. "Man, I don't get senshi like you. I don't give two shits what you wanna do with your life, but I don't like watching people walking into things that are going to hurt em!" He stared her down. "You really think they're going to do right by you and everyone else?"

"Maybe!" She shouted, hands balled into fists at her sides and her jaw clenched tightly whenever she wasn't speaking. If looks could kill, Hydra had a lethal one thrown Alphard's way.
She hated the way he was talking to her, looking down and using a condescending voice and she struggled with reigning in her temper. "You don't give two shits? Then why are you criticizing it! Go back to the hole you crawled out of and get out of my face!"
Hydra never swore, but she'd reached her limit.
"I didn't ask for your opinion and I've had it up to here with people trying to tell me that I'm wrong for existing. Go to hell a*****e!"
She stepped back enough to have the space for her wave. Hands lifted and brow knitted in concentration, the ground began to rumble beneath her.

"I'm tell ya, you're being a dumb s**t if you think they're gonna do you right!" While he'd clearly hit a nerve, she'd hit one of his- and she seemed to be readying to takei t to the level past mere words. "You really think when they finally get their way you'll be spared?" He looked her dead in the eye. "How nice it must feel, to be granted immunity from your oppressors."

"Just shut up!" Hydra snapped, fury skittering down her spine as she focused on her wave and raising it before her. "You're such a ...a p***k!" If she hadn't needed to keep her arms up and in place, then she would have stomped her feet.
As it were, the wave was nearly full height and she pushed it forward, determined to at least make the bully pay as tears gathered in the corner of her eyes.
istoleyurvamps Hydra Strike Hydra spreads her arms open and there is a low rumbling/vibration beneath her feet and water rises before her reaching a height of 8ft pushing forward and slamming down on her opponent. Hydra must allow time for the wave to rise before she releases it otherwise it will not be as effective. It takes approximately 20 seconds for the wave to reach full height. If they are within 5ft of her, they will experience mild vibrations. If hit, the person feels as though they drenched in water for at least one minute. The wave does not discriminate between allies and enemies, everyone is collateral damage. Usage: 3 Mechanics: Hydra summons the wave in one post, attacks in the next. She can be interrupted in the middle of summoning and either the wave fails completely or is released with less potency.

Maybe he was a p***k. But he was a self righteous one and he did it because he thought himself in the right. That he might be helping even if he knew people like her wouldn't listen. He was a fighter of oppression and freedoms taken and- He felt the vibrations rise along with her wave, thinking she'd not have the guts to do it- it it became apparent that she would? Arms lifted it was too late- he was sent back, soaked and in moderate pain. "Veil of Twilight!" He was far enough his own magic wouldn't' hit him- but it buy him time to escape before things took a turn for the worse. nuxaz A 5ft diameter circle encompasses the target in a field of absolute darkness. After 5 seconds a burst of ultra white light erupts from the center, stunning the vision of the target. If any were to enter this field they would be treated to the darkness and light burst effect- senshi included. It moves with the target He flee

Hydra's wave had hit and she felt a surge of pride, triumphant that her bully had been bested but she squeaked when his own magic hit her, bright lights popping in her vision that suddenly darkened and she couldn't see and -
Dang it!
Hydra tried, desperately, to get out of the darkness with her entire body trembling but it was to no avail.
It didn't matter though, because when it finally faded, the senshi was gone and Hydra was left feeling mad and bitter and chose to stomp off and go home.
