It was less than a week until Thanksgiving, and Lenka couldn’t believe how quickly the year had passed…and how little she had done. In her civilian life, she had just been so busy…what with school and…and her boyfriend…
But…as a senshi, she had been lacking…that was going to stop now. With the holidays coming, she knew she could crank out a lot more time out and about…and honestly she kept thinking of that little chibi…how was she doing? Was she okay? Had she been stepped on and squashed?
Ugh. She had to go out more and really support the younger senshi…it was fun to see them get stronger…and honestly, if others had done that with her, maybe she wouldn’t be so bitter with older senshi now. Sure she had been a kid, but damn she had spunk! And so did these other kids. These newer kids.
It was a little disheartening that she hadn’t been the second wave…or rather, that the war hadn’t ended with her generation of chibis…
Oh well. It just gave her something new to do…and speaking of chibis… The eternal senshi moved towards the aura she felt, wondering if it was the young one, or if it was someone new! Whoever they were, they were a basic level…and what if they were confused? Or hurt?
She jumped off of the building she was on and landed in front of the chibi. A grin spread across her face when she realized it was someone she had known…from years ago, but still. “S…Subra, right? How are you? We defeated a youma together…ages ago!” Or at least, she thought that they had. It had been ages indeed…and it looked as though the chibi hadn’t gotten any stronger…that was a shame.

Bailey had been nervous and excited and unsure entirely what to do with herself. Thanksgiving was going to be spent with her father's family that year, and while she loved Nana and Papa Jameson...They thought her being her was still a phase. And that hurt. A lot. So instead of thinking about it too much, the new teenaged girl had taken to the streets as Subra, intent on patrolling and training and just...not thinking about Thanksgiving.
So when her mind started to wander back to Bailey-worries, the bright, warm aura of someone higher in power but on the same side was a welcome distraction. Curious, Subra looked about, then smiled at the other senshi when she landed. A smile that was especially large because she recognized her, even if she'd gotten bigger! Well, they both had, but Lenka especially!
"I remember you! You helped me dust my first youma! Thank you again for that!"

Lenka grinned. “You’re welcome! How have you been? Are you doing okay?” She felt so…protective over the chibis, she really wanted them all to succeed. “Have you been practicing fighting or anything?” She was a little concerned that the girl wasn’t yet a super, but honestly she did know that not everyone had the same drive to get stronger that she herself had.
“I tell you what, you have such a great fuku for the time of the year. But it really must be awfully hot in the summer time.” And perhaps that was why…it was no fun patrolling when you were too hot or too cold, so maybe she just hadn’t gone out much in the summer, but now that it was cooler…
“Hey, how about you and me spar so I can see how you’re holding up? I promise I’ll go easy on you, since I don’t want you to get hurt, but this will help you if you ever have to fight someone as strong as me, which might happen, but…you know?”
All right, so that had stopped making sense halfway through and Lenka shrugged. “I just want to help you.”

“I have been! I make sure to not take on anything too big without help, though. Can’t help anyone if I get my butt kicked!” She grinned, then looked sheepish. “It’s hard when your magic isn’t offensive, though.” Oh what she wouldn’t have given to have something that could help her kick bad guy butt better. The topic of her fuku made her giggle.
“Yeah, it is great. But summer was...really frustrating. Some nights, I couldn’t go out at all, even though I really wanted to. It’s easy for senshi who don’t have layers to put on a coat or something over their fuku, but I can’t really take anything off…” She sighed, shaking her head. “But, it’s colder now, so I don’t have to worry about that! I can be a magical girl and protect people!” She would get better, and maybe when she got as strong as Lenka, she’d have a fuku that wasn’t so...well, hot. As it was, though, Lenka was offering to help her get stronger, and Subra certainly wasn’t going to turn that down!
“That sounds good to me! As I said, I’ve been practicing, so I’m not flailing like I did with the first youma!”

Lenka knew she had nothing to do with this chibi’s confidence, she hadn’t done anything but help her that one time, but still...she felt such a strong sense of pride when Subra talked about how she was feeling better about all of everything, and how she knew to ask for help...and honestly, Lenka was just so happy for her.
“Well, all right then. I won’t go too easy on you then, since you’re not flailing. Get ready, Subra.” The senshi grinned and stretched for a moment before getting ready to pounce. “Because here I come!”
She was holding back, of course she was holding back, but she was doing her very best to make it seem as though she wasn’t, as she came at the girl at top speed, fists ready to strike.
Top speed could come with mistakes, it was a sloppy advance, she knew as much, but she wanted to see right now if the younger senshi could handle the pressure of being ‘really attacked’.

Subra nodded with surety, moving so she wasn't so unsteady. The last thing she needed was to get knocked over! She was trying to show she'd gotten better, not worse! When Lenka came charging, it didn't phase her so much as it might someone else. Because it smacked of something Subra already knew.
Football. Subra knew football, and being charged at and chased after and tackled. She could handle those! She waited until Lenka was a little closer before dodging to the side and trying a tackle of her own. Maybe trying to apply football ideas to a fight wasn't the best idea, but it was what she knew!

Lenka let out a little noise of confusion and an oof of discomfort as the smaller senshi countered her attack with one of her own. She drew away, rubbing at her arm. “Well. Now that’s what I’m talking about. Thinking on your feet. That’s perfect.”
She rubbed her shoulder again, grinning. “I think that’s a good way to do things…I know we should keep going…but I don’t know. I kind of want some ice cream right now…you wanna come with me? We can plan another…better thought out battle time if you want…I don’t know. I can’t think of anything to throw at you, I didn’t expect you to counter me, not that I thought you wouldn’t be able to…”
She shook her head and gave a little laugh. “Wow I sound like such a jerk, I’m sorry. Highschool makes you stupid. Be warned.”

Subra blinked at the older senshi in confusion before giggles escaped her. "It's okay! My big brother stumbles over his words and stuff sometimes, too. I think it's because high school tries cramming so much into your heads, and never gives you enough time for all the homework they assign, sleep, AND relaxing stuff! And you're a senshi on top of all that!" She felt really bad for the older senshi who were still in school, to be very honest. "I don't mind figuring out a better time to do this. Maaaybe closer to when you actually have a break from school?" Just because evil never waited, it didn't mean she couldn't be patient and polite.Orangeish Sherbert You can wrap it up or this post SHOULD be a good end.
