Happy sigh.
And as her mind continued to wander into its blissful happiness, it also began to stroll down a path she had been hoping to avoid thinking about. Thinking about college. University. It wasn't that she didn't want to go. Not at all. It was more so at the fact that not only would she have to chose between things she loved doing, but it was possible that what she loved doing would take her to a different school than the boy -- nay -- the man she loved. What could be a harder, more horrifying thought than that?!
Hailey sat herself back up on her bed, looking around the room that she was lucky enough to spend all this time in with Malachi. It wasn't the first place they met, but it sure meant a whole lot to her.... them.... they as a couple. Really, the two of them had been living together for years! What was so going to do?!
The young woman took a few deep breaths, then her breathing became more normal now that she had calmed down some. Hell, she even laughed a little bit when she thought of what Malachi would be saying to her right now as she panicked over everything she need not fret. 'We already talked about this' she started in a mocking tone. 'We're getting a place together. You know that's why we've both been working our jobs, Hail.'. and she laughed again at herself for sounding like such a convincing -- to herself at least -- Malachi.
But it was true. They had both gotten jobs, were going to get help from Malachi's mom, and they had even looked at a few little places that they really liked. And said places were pretty close to Leviathan where Malachi was going to attend, as well as Grendel... where Hailey was pretty sure she was going to go. She was such an artsy fartsy kind of gal. How could she not go there? Yes. Yes. This was good. She was able to sort her head out and wrap it around everything they had talked about.
Well, almost everything. The only thing she had left to figure out was how to say goodbye to this room.
