Tick tock went the clock in a time that didn't matter. Pyrite's eyes rolled around with the rest of her head as she looked down the city street, night faving fallen and left the places once bustling devoid of life. Well, most life. Up until a few minutes ago, a woman had been driving but had stopped at a red light. But now she was slumped over her steering wheel. Tricked by a flasly distressed Pyrite to help. A kind heart made for a sweeter starseed. But Pyrite was on a scrict diet. One or two a night, no more. They wanted her to not become some brainless monster after all. So sitting against the still warm car, the captain hummed in tune to the chime of the clock that hung above the street corner- a decoration for the shop. There was another near, and while she wasn't supposed to- She liked sneaking a few treats here and there.

Asmodeus could feel the creeping aura of a Negaverse captain, and the old instinct - the one in her that screamed and screamed to fight them all - flared up. She clenched her fists, taking slow breaths and trying to convince herself that flying into a rage would help no one, at all, and she really had herself going until she actually got close enough to see the whole thing -- the Captain leaning on the car,the woman slumped over the wheel.
"Hey, what the ********?" She snapped, storming forwards fully prepared to get into it.

Pyrite looked up at the little senshi, all dark and ready for a fight. It smelled like fun. She wondered if it would taste like fun too. "Oh?" She reached into the car, hands stroking over the woman's hair. "I'm just doing my job yes I am. She is for my masters. Demands and things. What about you though?" She purred, golden viens glittering in lamp light. "What will you be for me? A treat? You look like you might taste good." Twin daggers summon she spun them in hand. "Tick tock answer what you are little spot."

That was. That was creepy, no two ways about it. Asmodeus felt a chill crawl up her spine. Whatever this woman was, she sure as hell wasn't right in the head, and that was a little terrifying.
"Put her starseed back and I won't have to hurt you," Asmo challenged, as if that might somehow help. There was clearly a whole lot of crazy contained in this one Captain and her wicked-looking daggers.
She would have to be careful about her magic, too, in this circumstance. She didn't want to accidentally catch the civilian up in it.

No fun. This senshi was going to be no fun. Pyrite frowned at the input of information, wondering how to proceed. She vaguely recalled not to hurt the dark mirrors but- they gave her an order. And no one gave her orders but the general kings and queens. But her favorites. Like Moonstone. "You won't make me hurt." She spun a dagger around before slamming into the body of the woman. "Whoops." Eyes and veins glittered as Pyrite smiled. "I think I will keep what I have, but you made me go and do that. So be a dear and pay me back." Palm outstretched, one dagger in her other hand. "Give me your starseed and I'll forgive you for telling me what to do."

Asmodeus made a noise of horror, taking a step back almost automatically. No, no way, that wasn't what was supposed to happen. The Negaverse was violent and crazy, sure, but this was a whole new level of "what the ******** is wrong with you." It didn't come out as a question.
Still, there was the hanging threat, and...well, unfortunately, now she didn't have to worry aobut the civilian, so she squared her shoulders and took the stance for her attack.
"You want my starseed?" She asked. "Come and ******** get it."

Wrong? What was wrong with her? The phrase had Pyrite hissing. Nothing. Nothing was wrong with her she was fine, she was perfect, she was going to be the best and she would be loved and adored and- Nothing was wrong with her. "Stupid senshi." Pyrite spat. "Thinking it is smart. It is brave. But you're just fodder. Abandoned and forgotten and worthless- an infestation." Pyrite pulled the dagger free of the body as viciously as she could. It was satisfying that way. "Your starseed will make a perfect offering for our leader. You should let me have it, give yourself a purpose." She lunged, daggers drawn. "You worthless insect!"

Asmodeus moved back. god, this was exactly what was wrong with the Negaverse, exactly why she wanted to see them rooted out. Crazy murderers, every last one of them.
"Flames of Phlegethos!" She declared, letting her magic fly. The fire circle generally made for a pretty good deterrent, and that was what she needed. Or maybe this - this monster in the making was crazy enough to charge right through it, and that would be fine with her, too. She wasn't going to regret this, not one damned bit.
People like this were why the Negaverse-DMC detente was bullshit. There could never be peace when the Negaverse produced and encouraged homicidal monsters.

Pyrite stopped, a scream of fury and frustration leaving her as the fire formed around her. "Cowards. Crawling, craven, cowards. Hide with magic and monsters- freaks from off world and wonders!" She screeched. A few steps back, a running start- Pryite chose not to run through the flames, she chose to jump over them. The edges licking at her legs and singing lace as she fell forwards, daggers aimed at dark mirror senshi who in the captain's eyes, would make for a fine prize and offering to Metallia. Noir Songbird she can miss or w/e u do u

Jumping over the fire was not, at all, what Asmodeus had expected. No one did that. She was frozen, briefly, and it nearly cost her, but she managed to jump out of the way of those wicked-sharp daggers just in time. There was absolutely no question in her mind that the Captain intended to make her as dead as she'd made the poor civilian, and that was not going to happen.
The problem was that Asmodeus was not, in all practical terms, equipped to fight this fight. She was too inexperienced, despite how long she had been fighting for, and too scared -- and honestly she could sling as much fire as she liked, but one hit from those daggers and she could very well be dead.
So she started running, and prayed that the Captain would give up.
