Part One: An Incredible Discovery *Rogues and Pride Members are welcome to wander the lands. There will be a meal to celebrate how wealthy the pride is with foods (meat & plants alike)* Many moons had passed after the decision, that rocked the pride, had been made to move the individuals outside the safety of their walls. The numbers had been growing and their ability to live comfortably in there was dwindling - not to mention the food sources were growing to far from the mountains path. This was a necessary change, whether some individuals would see it that way or not.
"Alduin! You have to come quick and see this." An orange lioness, that was nothing more than a villager of the pride lands, but mated to a council member, was the first to seek out something new - something that would change the pride forever.
Plants - flora and fauna alike were found up the mountain and at it's base. Some colorful, others more leafy, but all appearing safe. The mountain dwellers weren't used to so much green, but the healers - who were not glued to traditions - were all over the new plants. It seemed they were primarily interested in plants that could present immediate effects on individuals and so those were kept with them. The other plants, majority more scented and pleasant were saved for meals.
That is where it was left - organized, deliberate... yet accidental.Plants Cotyledon ; These plants are poisonous, considered dangerous and may have fatal outcomes if ingested. They are pretty – bright green leaves, colorful when flowering – so eye catching. (There are times where if ingested the individual having ingested the plant can survive. The potency is random and this plant should be considered dangerous until demonstrated otherwise.)
=>Fatal? Yes - if ingested. Though there will be skeptics since some plants aren't nearly poisonous as others and can appear to be randomly selecting it's victims.
Datura ; These plants are a leafy species. They are poisonous, but not as deadly at the Cotyledon. Symptoms of ingestion is rapid pulse, depression, restlessness, weight loss, frequent urination – in fatal cases they may see a weak pulse, irregular breathing, lower breathing temperature and possible convulsions. (All parts of the plant is poisonous – leaves and seeds being the most common parts ingested. The most common issue with this is that the leaves could look to be foliage of another plant and harvested thinking that it’s harmless than added to that plants normal use (drink,food etc) without knowing that the individual is poisoning this).
=>Fatal? Yes - dependent upon amount consumed.
Dichapetalum Cymosum ; These plants are incredibly poisonous, likely one of the most poisonous discovered. The plant is primarily underground and seen as a shrub like plant above ground. The leaves of this plant are bright green and not clumpy. Symptoms of having ingested this plant is trembling, twitching and convulsions that lead to a heart attack. Ingesting this plant is almost always proven fatal.
=>Fatal? Yes - if ingested.
More plants will be added as they are discovered. Good and bad. IC Information These key points here are what you're character is actually aware of at the time of this part in the Meta. Some new plants have been discovered. Even if they aren't truly new they could just be newly used. Most of their time in the mountain limited them to very few supplies. These supplies were never changed and so it became something akin to tradition - never changing.
All memebers of the prides land are able to roam as they see fit. There are restrictions for them.
Visitors (rogues / outlanders) are escorted. They will be welcome on the land and even given a feast, but they are watched. Since the pride is still fairly young in its outdoor days they can be wary of those who come from foreign soil.
Rahisi was the first to begin this search, along side her mate - Throek`Irid. If you'd like to see the RP it is here - Trip Up the Mountain. It's very likely that Rahisi spoke with some others about these plants. If you would like your individual to be one that Rahisi spoke to just message Mysses.
More will be added as things come to light.

Alduin is aware that these plants have been found - Throek went to him almost immediately. If you'd like to the RP is here - Something to Worry About? The concern from him may show on his face from time to time, but he isn't entirely worried just yet. This is just something new and they were getting used to new.
The members of the pride are not aware of the poisons in these plants yet. They wouldn't assume there was anything dangerous to them at this point as they haven't seen the outcome yet. They are more than welcome to apply these plants to their every day lives, as I state below, we are not trying to kill your characters and will accept any form of self-healing/mending if this isn't what your characters intended purpose will be.

Chance Encounters Roll 1D7 to discover something.
The very first thing I would like to note is that under no circumstances am I making you kill off your pet. These encounters are merely moments where they can discover a plant if they'd like to. Or they can ingest and see what the consequences are of ingesting. Again in these circumstances the lion can find a way to save itself. If you'd like to do a death plot then please let us know or just simply do it. This could be a good way to complete those plots you've been waiting to finish!

You find a plant, it's like they've all been talking about! Though there are plenty of plants around - some already identified from previous use - this was a new plant. The Cotyledon lacked the lustre of some other plants around, yet you collect it and decide that you will test this out. What an honor to get to try something like this and be part of the birth of something so new!

It was happenstance, you were by the stream and decided it was time to take a quick drink. It was as you lowered your head that you had discovered it. A plant, it was hanging in such a way that was appealing, yet alarming. Though you didn't know it's name (Datura) you knew that you should collect some up and try your go at finding out more. Maybe testing the waters and eating it or give it to your companion as a present, could even decorate your home! They are just that pretty.

As you wander about you come across some wild life that you don't think much of, but at the same time you figure you may as well collect. Though you don't know the name (Dichapetalum Cymosum) you are curious about it and are plenty aware that the pride is looking into things like this. Who would you alert? What do you do with it?

Since alchemical healing isn't REALLY the forte of the Stormborn
That could eventually lead to a tail end of them sending someone to the Bahari to bring over the Hlare
(Sorry overworked Hlare but priestesses can solo research for a while)
And that could be the start of a tentative friendship while the Hlare work actively with the Dov to try and find antidotes. From: Sarca-doodle You can close it out with "The dov aren Dov aren't better YET

Like the Bahari you can imply that things are going well.
...Except they aren't
Because the Vikings have found phantoms in their midst
That way, yeah, you can kinda ease everyone in to it
Give peeps a chance to nose around and get comfy
And then after all those metas
It means the Dov could be in a good place to help when s**t hits the fan with the Bahari and their rogue-curse thing

So it could start with just them being sick and the whole thing with the dov is "Figure out a cure first, worry about the poison later"

Well, first part could simply be scouted bands locating more obscure herbs Sent on: 2:40 pm From: Sarca-doodle You could use Zjarrl? Get another captain involved as an example of the fact it's not just Tethys out and about From: Sarca-doodle When it becomes apparent there's something really wrong with the plants and the dov are struggling/sick, they can call in backup which could start as Tethys's group as they'll be nearby
