Sky Clan - Alu`nadi
Name: Naniv`quo
Meaning: 'anyone/anybody'
Why does this lioness accept the role of alu'nadi?
Naniv`quo accepts the role because she feels as though she deserves it as much as she has earned it. Her experiences from the roguelands has prepared for most any challenge she may face within the pride including the clash of personalities as well as the larger problems, like facing a possible disaster head on. Below is more information to support why the pride may select her and it includes some background information for the sake of support and character building.

Change ; Naniv`quo believes in two things, growth and change. She has spent her entire rogue life sort of preparing herself for this moment, whether she knew that or not. Naniv is quick to find a solution, whether or not it's a comfortable way to resolve something or not - she will go as far as to break traditions if it means the best for the pride. So in joining the Sky clan she'd see a need to encourage change and peace among the members - this would likely impress upon them that she has the capability of leadership where there was none.
Empower ; Naniv`quo is known for empowerment. She will be the first to encourage even youth to do their best on all occasions including, but not limited to pouncing lessons and hunting as examples. If asked a question she'd likely try to have the other hash out their own thoughts first helping to further develop the member and gather their own opinions on a certain situation. Beyond that she will back them up, if something were to happen that required an audience with the wanidatsi she would back her clan member up to the full extent until they are proven of whatever crime may have been committed. (This is something that could come into play down the road should a spy be in the midst of the Sky clan during a raid.)
Pride ; Naniv`quo could be considered an underdog. During her time in the rogue lands she wasn't seen as anyone, thus her name. Her parents, though they loved her had named her based on that fact that anyone could do it and anybody could make a difference. This could be taken one of two ways, she chose to see the light in it and thus she strives for do what anyone can do and do it as well as anybody can. This would form a sense of community as she would be seen as one of the members and nothing more beyond the title she is given. This provides the idea that she is grounded and stable.

New Leader ; As stated in the post about the new alu`nadi, receiving a new leader in place of the old will be drama in itself. Yes, the pride has backed Naniv`quo, but with change comes challenge and so it wouldn't be an entire surprise to see some push back (that may even come from other clans that had a strong bond with previous alu`nadi).
Step One: ORP Meet and Greet - a chance to discover the new alu`nadi in a hands on experience, meet her and find out for yourself what she is truly likely in front of a crowd.
Step Two: Private encounters, meeting with members in private and learning who your friends are and who they aren't. It's possible, again, that though the choice was made to have Naniv in the position, doesn't mean everyone is totally ecstatic about it.
Step Three: Possible problems? There could be a chance at confrontations from other members that have an issue with this. This could be done as a group in a verbal attack that could become ugly.
Other** It is possible that males have married out of the Sky clan or that the rumors of a new alu`nadi have reached the other clans. It'd be intriguing news to hear that a new alu`nadi from the roguelands had taken the place of a former Ela`wadiyi. Plenty could see that as alarmingly trusting and perhaps even treat the Sky clan differently because of their choice. (Could lead to not allowing marriages between the clans or having to have secretive relationships temporarily. Just some tension type stuff.)
Rumor(s)/Disease ; Sky clan is known for their knowledge of the history of the pride itself and so they would easily recognize when something horrific was returning. This particular event will likely renew the fears of having Rogues joining and would happen shortly after the Tree Ceremony of the following year. Disease. The disease will mimic that of a similar strain which is descended of the strain of disease that nearly wiped out the pride completely. During the event many would fall ill and though there may be some fatalities for the most part the pride will bounce back (whether it be due to immunity or medicine), but just the sheer shock of the disease may set the pride back a few more steps.
Step One: The disease would begin to spread, striking down a couple select individuals old and young so as to prove that it wasn't seeking a certain group.
Step Two: Rumors would start, just within the Sky Clan - at this point Naniv`quo would stop the clans movement in an attempt to contain the situation. Members would be encouraged to speak out to Naniv`quo, seeking answers that she won't be able to provide beyond a try at comforting words.
Step Three: A second clan would meet up with the Sky clan, which on some occasions would be a complete norm. This time it won't be and the rumors would spread to the unsuspecting group of a disease that was withering folks within the Sky clan.
Step Four: "Resolution."
Raid ; Since the prides with the potential to raid are growing in numbers a pride like the Ela`wadiyi is a sitting duck and though it'd be a challenge a raid is not entirely out of the question. This is especially true considering the clans are separated in such a way to encourage splitting them off like prey.
Step One: Start an ORP for a hunt and introduce a strange article, perhaps something of the ocean or paw-crafted that would be obscure to them or at least unusual. This would raise questions during the hunt that would lead to a small group investigating the area where the article was found. The members of that group could encounter a group from the raid doing a similar thing, investigating - this could lead to a scrap of sorts. The small hunting party that had investigated would return to explain to Naniv`quo. They still won't be sure what they are facing, but they know it's not friendly.
Step Two: A second hunting party, this time with larger numbers, could go to investigate and are successful finding the camp of the raiders. Now they can visibly see a high volume of lions, etc etc that are preparing for something. It'd be a likely though that they were in for a fight.
Step Three: The raid happens.
Step Four: Now.. this could go one of two ways - either the clan comes out unscathed for the most part and has successfully defended themselves from and outside attack (another clan could easily come upon them and come to their aid). OR They could have failed in defending themselves, lose a number of their kin and the raiders have their way, leaving the clan crippled as though it were just beginning anew. Either it's set up to include another clan to aid in defense, thus an easier way to incorporate a higher head count and encourage strong ties between the Sky clan and this other clan.
