Snowball hadn't been expecting the snowfall. He was enjoying the cooler weather the evenings were bringing lately, and while he didn't have many to roam the night with. He made the most of being alone and made it fun for him.

The snowfall was not an unwelcomed edition to the night. He knew there were lots going on and well, even though Thanksgiving wasn't far - it'd be lonely without Aurora; he wished she'd come back already; it also meant that Christmas was just around the corner. He passed a store that was still open, popping his head into the window to look at the newly decorated windows for the season; he could hear the Christmas music already.

The cat began to hum along as he watched a toy train circle the display before hopping down; walking along the street down to Azzo's and his favorite cinnamon bun place. A nice cup of hot chocolate, a warm cinnamon bun; and some company that wasn't pouty would be a great addition to the night. Snowball's tail flickered as he trotted down the way, still humming Christmas carols.

There was something that caught his eye, in a snowdrift as he passed the alleyway beside the cinnabun. His ears perked and he took a few steps backwards to see what had just caught his eye. It sat there twinkling, like a small crystal. Violet eyes narrowed a little as he deviated off his path, pausing when a strong gust blew past him. The cat actually gave a shiver and frowned heavily as it seemed the wind had gusted up small snow bank.

"I don't understand why the buildings can funnel the wind like this. It shouldn't be allowed." He muttered as he moved, he'd lost whatever he was trying to get a peek at. Surely it was something he'd want to keep. Thanks to the snow covering it up, he'd now have to dig around and it was already up to his kitty knees in the alleyway.

Snowball's tail flickered as he went to work, wishing he'd brought Azzo's dog Merlin with him, at least then the cat could've conned the dog to do the digging. It took him a small while but Snowball soon had managed to unearth something, quite interesting. It was a small, sparkly crystal. It wasn't terribly familiar looking too him; he thought he knew what it was, but he'd only seen a couple of these in existence.

"Hmm, I'm going to take you home and see what we can do with you." He wanted to set it in something pretty. Even though he wasn't sure if he was correct, it could just be some pretty weird crystal. It wasn't like any random crystals found in the city had to be required to have magic in them right?

Snowball tucked the crystal into the saddlebag he was wearing. Thankful that those had been made for him; because this was one of those things he didn't want to shove into his subspace pocket yet. That had to be filled with all kinds of weird things already anyways. Well, aside from senshi pens and phones that were pretty much unlimited in his summoning.

Snowball shook his fur off from the snow and continued on his way to attempt to procure a cinnabun. Heading back to the door, he wasn't sure they'd give him hot chocolate, but he could . . . maybe try for that too. Who knew? He might get lucky! He could then sit and enjoy it while watching the lovely snow fall.
