Name: Fingal Ainsley

Nickname: Finn

Age: 20

Birthday: September 5

Sign: Virgo

Gemstone: Emerald

Blood Type: A-

Fav. Food: fried chicken, but only when it has a nice, crunchy coating. Soggy or greasy-tasting fried chicken is just disappointing.

Hated Food: anything containing squid

School: Destiny City University

Hobbies:
Viola: Finn had taken viola lessons all through his childhood. He stopped lessons when he was in high school, but he still enjoys playing. He keeps his viola in good working order, and periodically pulls it out to try a new piece or revisit an old favorite. He has no interest in pursuing a music career or otherwise playing for other people; it's enough for him to practice alone and listen to his own music.

Science fiction Literature: Sci fi books are a little of a guilty pleasure for him. He has no interest in any other genre fiction, but finds some of the themes common in sci fi to be fascinating. However, he doesn't like the ones that are simple adventure stories; he prefers science fiction books that emphasize the science, either as hard sciences (like the mechanics of making a planet habitable for humans) or social science (such as theorizing how humanity might be affected by advances in technology or interactions with alien species).

Tropical fish: Finn keeps a tank of tropical fish in his apartment, and is meticulous about monitoring their health, including maintaining the proper water temperature and pH. He finds watching the fish soothing, and may spend long, contemplative stretches of time gazing at the tank, perhaps with a hot beverage in hand.

Virtues:
Self-motivated: When given a task, or when he chooses one for himself, he never needs any outside incentive to get it done. He will work thoroughly, promptly, and do all necessary research and adjustments to see that it gets done well and on time. He kind of has trouble understanding why others might need reminders, rewards, or reprimands to get things done. Just because something's hard, or boring, or takes a long time doesn't change the fact that it needs doing. Finn can always be relied on to stay on task and give everything a proper amount of attention. He will not fool around or stray from his efforts. Attempts to get him to do otherwise will be met with incomprehension, irritation, dismissal, or a mixture of the three. He will not tolerate distractions and can be curt with those who do.

Devoted: When Finn decides to dedicate himself to something - an ideal, a person, an organization, etc., - he can not be dissuaded from his regard of it. He will make every possible effort to aid whatever it is, and on many occasions he will place their needs before his own. Attempts to convince him otherwise would be difficult at best, and frequently fruitless.

Flaws:

Poor social skills: Finn has always been a loner, and doesn't have a lot of experience in casual social interactions. As such, he often does not know what to say, or how to act in a friendly manner. He can get along fine in formal interactions, but has trouble shifting those mannerisms to more friendly ones. As such, he will often seem stiff and formal when in casual situations, which some people find off-putting. If he realizes how he's acting is making someone uncomfortable, he might just clam up and stick with polite smiles and nods.

Picky: Finn would prefer the word "meticulous." To him, everything must be done in the right way and be in the right place. He was the kind of kid that, when finished playing with one toy, would put it neatly back in its place before taking out another. His clothes must be arranged just so, his food prepared the right way, his homework done in the proper order. If he finds something out of order, he has to correct it if possible, or it will bother him. There are certainly many things he can't control, so he tries to focus on the things he can. It is not at the level of OCD, as it does not impede his day-to-day-life, though his mother did wonder and have him tested as a child.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: grey, slightly angular

Hair: blond, short, lightly tousled (see powered art)

Face: narrow with a sharp chin, nose is short and slightly upturned, complexion is fair

Clothes: Tends to wear slacks, button down shirts, sweaters in cold weather, brown leather shoes, and a pair of thin wire-framed glasses. Favors earth tones.

Knight Title: Kithairon, Page of Pluto (His Wonder is the single mountain, not the range with the same name)

Challenge: Your time is up.

Uniform: won art

Weapon & Magic
Page Weapon: A simple gold pocket watch. It tells time very accurately.

Squire: A larger, more ornate pocket watch.
Magic: Kithairon focuses on one target and turns a knob on his watch, similar to the one used to wind back the hands. The target then experiences an intense sense of deja vu, as if everything going on is an event they have just experienced. The effect can be disorienting, and may (at the effected player's discretion) make the target question if they've already taken an intended action. For example, if they're about to cast a spell, they may think they have already cast it, and question whether they would be able to again. The spell can be cast for a total of 30 seconds per battle.

Knight Weapon: A scepter or short cane, topped with an ornate round clock that's about palm-sized. The shaft is stout wood with gold embellishments.
Magic: Kithairon focuses on up to two targets and turns a knob on the clock, similar to the one used to wind back the hands. The target(s) then experiences an intense sense of deja vu, with effects identical to his Squire magic. The spell can be cast for a total of 40 seconds per battle.

Summons: lion (magic to be decided later)

More info about the Wonder: Cithaeron or Kithairon is a mountain in central Greece that was said to be the scene of many events in Greek mythology, including the home of the mountain nymph Echo. The summons is based on the Lion of Cithaeron, a lion living on Cithaeron that had been ravaging farmer's herds and was slain by Hercules.
