The evening temperature was perfect, the stars twinkled in the sky and a cool breeze teased Fortuna's exposed skin and ruffled through her hair, pulling strands from her long braid. She sighed in contentment as she walked absently through the park, her heels making a steady click with each step.

She caught a glimpse of herself in a hidden mirror and paused to examine her new Fuke. Her hands skimmed down the new designs on her bodice and fingered the extra color on her skirts and she decided she liked the new look, though she couldn't say one way or another if she felt any different. Perhaps in battle she would notice the difference but for that moment she felt just as she did before.

With a shrug to her silent self she began walking again, humming a little tune to herself on the quiet evening, wondering what new twists the night might bring.

Lieutenant Lopezite was fresh blood, so far as recruitment went, and he had a lot to learn.

He wasn't in a terrible rush.

But this energy was giving him a rush.

He could sense something strange on his radar, and fearless as he was, he sought it out. He didn't entirely understand it, but he was going to investigate and figure it out. The buildings in the area made it easy for him to travel unseen; he leapt from one roof to another and slowed only when he found himself right on top of the energy signature. He paused and moved to the edge of the rooftop, peering down. It didn't take him long to spot the senshi.

His eyes moved over her, taking in the way the moonlight seemed to get caught in her hair.

He was still and unmoving, like a predator in the night should be. But he didn't know who she was, yet. She wasn't a Negaverse agent, and as far as he was concerned, that meant that she had to earn loyalty.

Lopezite stepped over the edge of the building, landing on his feet just behind her. He gave her an almost playful little push. It wasn't his full strength but he fully intended to test her and see just what she was.

"And what," he purred as he stalked behind her, "Do we have here?"

Fortuna sensed someone behind her, the energy signature seemed to be chaos aligned, but not one she had sensed before, however she pretended not to notice and continued her slow steady walk. She was not as unaware as she appeared to be however so when he landed behind her and pushed her she was ready. She had originally intended to do a simple tuck and roll, but she underestimated the strength boost that being a super senshi had given her, instead she did a frontwards face flip, turning as she was in the air so that she landed facing him with a pleased little grin on her face. Flashy wasn't the path she normally traveled, but Fortuna had to admit it was fun sometimes.

"Didn't your mother ever teach you it's rude to push girls you haven't even met yet?" Fortuna purred back as she sized up the man in front of her. He seemed to have some sort of weapon which brought to mind the knight she had encountered, but he was definitely not order... He must be a Negaverse agent. Remarque had warned her of their kind. They were on the same side... Sort of, but the Negaverse's methods were brutal and often didn't care who got in the way of their rampaging Youma, as she had discovered on several occasions.

'He is cute though... Might be fun to play a little...'
Fortuna thought to herself as a slow grin spread across her features.

"I am Fortuna, Dark Mirror Super Senshi of Gambling... and you are?" she inquired, watching him carefully.

The Lieutenant moved to plant a hand on his hips casually. He lifted his chin a bit and looked down his nose at Fortuna, apparently sizing her up as well. "Lopezite," he replied after a moment of contemplation. Outwardly, he gave no indication that he liked what he saw, but his bemused demeanor never changed.

"Though, I must confess, Fortuna. I had no desire to push you over. You seemed eager to move. Forgive me for simply giving you a push in the right direction. A Dark Mirror Senshi, though? You must tell me what that means. I know little of your rank," he admitted, but shamelessly. "The rumors say you are failing in numbers and will be crushed by the White Moon soon enough. Is that your future?"

"This rank is new to me, I am still learning its strengths." Fortunately responded with a small shrug as she examines her nails briefly before glancing up at the man through her eyelashes.

"I'm sure every rumor you have ever heard is true... But we will not go down so easily though misunderstanding is great between all those who posses power in this city. Who can say who is right when all believe that their way of doing things is the only way." She paused as she looked the negaverse agent up and down before continuing flippantly.

"I have heard the negaverse is ruthless and cruel in their ways and are not to be trusted as they will hurt anyone in their way, even if we seem to be on the same side, is that true?"

"I wouldn't know," the man confessed genuinely, though he seemed without remorse for not knowing. It was a simple fact, and one he made no effort to sugar coat. "I would suspect I am more new than you. But I'll take your warning to heart and won't seek friends amongst their ranks if that rumor is true."

The Lieutenant did not seem annoyed—a bit cheeky, but good natured all the same.

"Perhaps when I have been around for a bit more I'll give you a full report on the matter. But that would require us running into each other again. If I wanted to reach you, how would I do that? Do the Dark Mirror Senshi rely on blind luck or were you gifted tools to aid you as well?"

This was a possibility that Fortuna had not considered, surely even Remarque could not complain about her meeting a negaverse agent if she was getting useful information. Fortuna smiled and nodded.

"We have been granted greater speed, agility, and strength. I also sensed you coming." Fortuna added with a slight shrug. "We also have magic at our disposal like the white moon senshi."

Fortuna observed the negaverse agent critically for a moment. "I usually patrol this area a few times a week, but I'm sure we could figure out a way to get in contact if need be." Her words were soft as she watched his reactions.

Lopezite nodded; his eyes were locked on hers intently and he seemed to cling to her every word. "I see."

He leaned back casually, arms crossed over his chest. "Magic, though? There is much in this world that I have yet to learn, but the magic, I think, is what I am most interested in. Where does your power come from? How do you harness it? —Can you get stronger?"

He didn't at all seem afraid of making a poor impression; he knew he wasn't as knowledgeable as those who had been doing this for a while, and he knew he wasn't going to learn anything if he didn't ask questions.

"—What can yours do? Forgive me, I know it is a lot. I am excited," he said—and laughed, light and mirthful. "I wish to know what makes you different from the White Moon Senshi—and the Negaverse."

"I get my magic through my sphere of power. And I have already grown stronger." She responded with a shrug. She smiled at his apparent excitement and she figured there was little harm in telling him what he wanted to know.

"My magic is a little more passive, it doesn't cause direct harm but it makes me stronger or it makes my opponent reckless enough to give me an advantage." She frowned and then shrugged again. "I don't think there is any difference in magic between the white moon and dark mirror senshi's. I also have no experience with the negaverse."

Lopezite listened, captivated—and then laughed. "That is a lot to take in and believe. Was it difficult for you, when they told you that you were a Senshi? —Some being with alien powers from a distant world? I do not know if I would stay on Earth if there were worlds out there available to me, but," he shrugged.

"All my life, I wanted an adventure. I suppose this is good enough—for now. What about you?" he prompted. "What are you in this for? Excitement, adventure, or…?"

His answer was open ended; he didn't dare to dream her motives. He wore a small, upturned smile; despite the little push he'd given her at the beginning, he seemed nothing but civil now.

Fortuna shrugged again. "It was an odd concept to accept at first, but once I became a senshi it all felt right. It was like a part of me was always supposed to be Fortuna... I just didn't know until I was awoken." Fortuna smiled at this point and brushed her braid back over her shoulder and her eyes shined.

"I finally have the powers I need to protect those I care about, I was thrust into a war that I had no part in starting and at this point I would do whatever it takes to protect my family, and that includes my fellow Dark Mirror Senshi's. I have heard the white moon senshi's can travel to space and visit their homeworlds where they get their power from but we Dark Mirror Senshi's are bound to this planet, and the only place we can go.... Is hostile and we can only visit for short periods of time." It was hard to describe Mirror Space to an outsider, so she didn't bother, just left it ambiguous.

"What about you? I don't know anything about the Negaverse and how you get your powers, or even what you do or why."

Lopezite nodded; he watched her eyes as she spoke, half searching for truth and half just because they were just nice to look at. Her uniform gave him plenty else to avert his gaze from, but the gentlemanly thing to do seemed to be to focus on her eyes.

"My powers came from Metallia, I assume. An ancient being trapped on this Earth. Though, I suppose older agents probably know more than I do. I've been doing this only for a few days, now, and I am not the most attentive student. We don't have magic—or, I don't have magic. Not in the way you seem to speak of it. I am faster, stronger. I have more energy. Oh, and," he paused and reached to his belt, unhooking a curved sheath. "This was my gift for joining. Fearsome, yes?" he asked, good naturedly swishing through the air as though it were a real weapon.

"I have never heard of Metallia before, but I have heard that Negaverse weapons evolve like the Knight weapons do, so though your sheath doesn't look like much now... I bet it has a lot of potential." Fortuna purred as she eyed him again with a slow easy smile of a cat.

"I may be a little out of your weight class now, but I suppose we could give a little sparing a try. Don't worry, I'll be gentle." She added with a wink and then a light laugh showing that she was merely teasing. She knew better than to underestimate others.

Lopezite seemed amused; a small smile tugged on his features again. "You must think highly of yourself to separate us based on your rank alone. Power does not always equate to talent. It would be unwise to spar here, where anyone could find us. There isn't much room for you to run," he noted, glancing at the buildings that surrounded them.

He turned to face her again. "I am surprised you would not know of Metallia but would know the intricacies of how the Negaverse operates. I do not need to rely on anyone but myself for power. Not Metallia, nor any planet, nor magic. I am all that I need. But, if you need someone to test your magic on, I suppose I would not mind seeing what you can do. But," he returned the sheath to his belt. "Be glad that I have only a sheath."

Fortuna grinned at the Negaverse agent. "You can believe whatever you want to believe, but the best way to test your theory would be to match our skills against one another... In a friendly match of course." She thought of her sisters waiting at home and knew she had to check on them before she committed to any sort of fight.

"Very well, meet me at this address in an hour, and we'll see what you can do." She smiled up into his eyes as she leaned over and pulled a pen out of her boot, arched back up and took his hand and wrote an address on his skin. It was another warehouse she knew of, however it was not associated with the DMC so she wouldn't have to worry about it's location being leaked to the Negaverse.

"If you think you are up to the challenge." Fortuna added in a low purr, she still held his hand for a moment longer before she squeezed it gently and took a half step back.

Lopezite watched the Dark Mirror Senshi for a moment. One brow raised, he didn't quite seem to know what to make of her as she wrote on his skin, but he didn't pull away. When she finished writing, he raised it a bit closer to his eyes and then nodded.

"I suppose meeting a strange girl you just met in a strange location without letting anyone know sounds like a good way to spend my evening.

"I'll be there. Perhaps we will both learn something about each other." He winked, for good measure, and then turned away. "I hope an hour is enough time for you to prepare."
