It took a bit of time for Ceylinae to get back to the hatching grounds, though it wasn't exactly by choice. She'd gone back home, wanting to prepare herself for another run in with the limbara, and got waylaid by a friend of hers, the same one that had aided her when it came to making her bow some time back. The woman was quick to scold her for not coming home straight away, a scolding that continued when she explained why she'd been slow to return. It seemed that her not wanting to be seen in her condition wasn't good enough. After getting her wounds checked over by the blacksmith, to make sure that none of them were at risk of infection before she was set to work.
A few days of training and chores later and she was finally free to get back to things... and with a gift from her as well. In her hand she was currently handing a net that would help her to catch a baby limbara or so she'd been told. Not only that but it would give her something to carry it back in as well. One didn't just want to carry a flailing baby along for long periods of time because it could cause both of them harm. Carrying in the net would keep it from getting harmed. Once she was home she would be able to feed it, play with it, and otherwise make friends with it to keep it happy. It wouldn't just magicaly become her mount after all, there was a lot of time and effort that needed to be put into such a thing. She would need to spend as much time training the baby limbara as she did training herself but it would definitely be worth it. The babies were so adorable after all and they grew into hulking beasts that would be the perfect allies when it came to dealing with those glowy eyed weirdos. One of which in particular she wanted to deal with personally...
Giving a shake of her head she continued forward, pausing when she was at the edge of the hatching grounds. Alright, it was time to seek out a limbara hatchling, preferably one closer to the edge of the hatching grounds, and then she would make her attempt at catching the little critter and making it hers. Slipping into the grounds she crouched low and started to move forward toward where she'd seen the little ones the last time. It wasn't too long before she spotted them and her heart soared. There they were, the baby limbara she was looking for, and among them the one that was meant for her. Now... to figure out how to get to them while they were being protected by such big parents.
Creeping forward she set about seeking a good spot in which she could observe from safely. There were a lot of limbara of various sizes here, meaning that if she wasn't careful she was going to be eaten! Not a prospect she liked the sound of. No, she had to go about this safely and carefully, "I am not about to be a snack for a limbara." She muttered to herself, only to get a chirping sound in reply that caused her to jump, hands going to her mouth to smother a squeak. Turning she watched as the one that had chirped continued along on its way, a little limbara that had been seemingly following her, but was on its way now and out of reach...

Ceylinae was kneeling there, stock still in the dirt, a look on shock on her young face as the little limbara continued on its way. That was beyond unexpected, not to mention that it was beyond frustrating. Had she known that the little thing was right there behind her she would have just turned around, scooped it up, and hurried away with it! Now though it was out of her reach and it was off playing with more limbara around its own size. It really was something that made her want nothing more then to scream... though she refrained. She couldn't show any signs of frustration, especially auditory ones, or else she'd have the attention of far more limbara then she'd be able to count.
Giving a shake of her head, her antennae twitching in a really annoyed manner, she set about digging into her pack to get out some dried meat. Last time this had worked, using the meat to lure the limbara pups a bit closer to her location. The last time she'd just been unlucky, running out of meat before she was able to get one of them to come over to her. This time was different, she had a more plentiful supply of bait so surely that meant that she was going to be able to get the creature to come over to where she was, right? Here was to hoping at least she though to herself as she tore a little bit of the meat off the hunk with her teeth, then gave it a toss toward the little one that had just been 'chatting' with her in hopes of targeting that one among the group.
The meat bounced off the little baby's shell, drawing a squeak from it, before it whirled around to glare at the meat. Once it seemed to realize that the meat wasn't attacking but was instead a treat it grabbed it up and swallowed it after minimal chewing. Ceylinae gave a little smile before tossing another treat the creature's way, holding her breath in anticipation to see if it would accept the next piece of meat... and much to her delight it did. After several more pieces of the meat tossed to it, a few of which were stolen by other hatchlings, the creature finally left the others that it had been milling around with, walking closer and closer toward her. It didn't come within arms reach at first, instead staying outside of her grasp so that it could beg for more and more of the meat that she had with her. It was a growing baby it would seem and meat was something that it was going to need a lot of meaning a lot of hunting on her part.
No matter, she would take up hunting as a part of her training if that was what it required. Given how big the limbara got as they got older she had a feeling that she would need to do a lot in the way of hunting if she was going to feed such an adorable little creature, huh? Giving a smile, antennae bouncing, she tossed another piece of meat in hopes of luring the little one ever closer.

What felt like an eternity of time later, as well as a good portion of the meat that she'd brought along with her, and the little limbara was within her reach. It was a cute little thing, wasn't it? It seemed as though it was calming down around her, acting in an amiable manner, though that might just be because she was providing it with food. Not only food but food that didn't go along with any sort of competition as it would likely have when it came to its siblings. That was something that she knew about in detail, the competition with siblings thing. Giving a shake of her head at the thought she reach out to daringly touch the shell of the tiny limbara before quickly withdrawing it.
Compared to the one she'd met in the past this one was a lot softer, wasn't it? The shells must get tougher with age but since this one was just little it was still vulnerable. That was definitely something that she was going to have to keep in mind so as not to risk the baby getting injured. She would need to treat it as delicately as possible, which would be a change of pace for her. She was so used to pushing herself to the utmost, not wanting to risk falling behind the others. That she would now have to the do the opposite was odd... but it would just be another challenge for her to overcome was all.
Laying the net out that she'd been given she laid several pieces of the meat in the center of it and waited, watching as the limbara paced nearby. It took the baby some time and a lot of circling to finally walk onto the net. Once it had she slowly gathered up the corners of the net, picking the baby up with it. The moment its feet were off the ground it reacted by snapping its jaws down on the meat, hissing around it, not wanting to give up the food. Taking advantage of its distraction she was instantly running away as fast a possible, wanting to put as much room between herself and the hatching grounds as she could before the beast realized something was up. For the time being the meat was all that seemed important and that was what was going to allow her to get away with what she'd just done.
