She stayed out at night, far far, far away from 'home'. Home was a bed that was on loan. A house that was not the one she'd lived in her whole life. It was nice but reminding her of everything. The city reminded her of everything and she hated it. School was gone then she went back. Someone else. A new school. New faces. Friends were hard to make when you weren't supposed to have a past. Be careful, you don't have magic to protect you, she told herself. Even as Spacewatch, the magic had only protected the senshi. Not the girl, not the girl who lost everything. Anger bubbled up and she wanted to scream as tiny fists hit a wall in frustration. She wanted to be alone, to just be left alone. But she could feel it. Someone, something else. She wished it had been a youma, at least then she could maybe hit something made of flesh and bone for a while.

He was on his way home, now equipped with the screwdriver he needed for what he was working on from a construction site a few blocks back. Tail moving elegantly from side to side, he turned his attention to a power signature down the block and turned over there to check in. So far he didn't feel any other signatures aside from the one, and it was at least a good, comforting Order signature.
Getting close, he looked about for whoever it was.

Breath sucked in, Spacewatch looked to the signature's source as it rounded the block. She expected a senshi. Maybe a knight. But no, it was a cat. One of those feline that had awoken her and left her to fend for herself. Anger and sadness bubbled up in her chest and formed an ugly know in her gut. Cats were to blame for her suffering. Her 14 year old mind rationalized. Cats were to blame for her suffering. They woke her then left her. Cats were to blame for everything. A firm angry scowl on her face she got up and began to stalk towards it. Palm outstretched when she was close enough, she yelled out her attack, wanting the feline she didn't know to hurt like she hurt. "Comet crash!' Tiny little balls of light came falling down, each one like the fist of the girl who summoned them. Filled with resentment at what she'd become.

He saw a young lady, dressed in simple colors, standing there. Giving a half-purr, half-meow of welcome, he started to make his way over. It was much nicer to meet senshi when they weren't being chased by agents or youma, but as he approached he saw her face. It was not someone who was overjoyed to see a cat, or even disgusted to see one. Instead, it was a fine line of anger pointed at him, and it was such a strange, peculiar sight to have glaring down at him that he wasn't sure if he was even seeing it correctly.
And then a attack was spoken, and his confusion spiked as he looked around as if he missed something, that a enemy must be nearby, but as he darted first right, then left, then back where he was, he felt the stars fall. His body stung as each ball of light flashed about him, singing around his body and hitting hard one after the other as they pelted him from above. Yowling, he darted forward and curled up against the curb, shivering.
"........why?"

Anger gave way to red hot fears of fury. She hated him. Hated how innocent he looked but he was a cat just like the rest. It was their fault. She'd gone to fight like she'd been told and nearly died then- Then she lost everything. All because a cat had woken her without even asking if this was what she wanted. If magic was what she'd like- and even then, no one told her this is what could happen. This was the price of her magic they'd thrust upon her. "'s Your fault." She muttered. She hated crying but her body refused to stop it, refused to let her stop the warm streaks running down her face. "I never wanted to be this." She hissed at the cat. "You stupid cats and your stupid pens!" Her pen summoned in hand, she threw that at Arthur as well.

It was not a conversation he ever had but something he always wondered about. If what he wasn't doing was right. As a cat, he wasn't part of a collective workforce making senshi realize what they've were.
Sore and aching, he heaved himself up only to crouched as the pen hit him, making his curl in and stay still.
"It's what you are. It is what you always were. If it wasn't one cat, someone who have awakened you."
But he didn't fully believe that.
"Would you rather be a normal girl then? You could ignore all this."

She marched over, and while an angry 14 year old might not normally be threatening, this one had magic and a year's worth of anger and regret boiling up in her chest. "So you just awaken us? Without asking what we want? Maybe we shouldn't be! Maybe we're better off that way, you ever think of that you stupid cat?" She wanted to hurt because she hurt, her emotions overriding common sense and empathy. Beating up a cat? Old Jane would have never would have done this. But Old Jane didn't exist anymore. Just this new girl she didn't even know. "I tried being normal, never going back but they still found me you ugly furball. They found me and took everyone away." Snot and tears, she sniffled as her face contorted in is broken rage and sorrow. "I lost everyone, all because of these stupid powers I never wanted!"

"You have every right to be mad." He wasn't about to dismiss how she felt. He didn't ask those he changed. He just did what was the primary drive of all guardians. Reveal what was hidden.
"I've never asked because it's a drive for us. To make senshi to fight in a war wwhen we can't even help by fighting alongside you. We're just glorified switches to turn your light On. It's not fair to you, but I can't undo what has been done to you. I can't turn you Off."
He looked up at her as she cried. "Would killing me make you happier?"

She heard his words and she hated them too. They were right and she knew they were honest but they didn't help her, make her feel better. "Yes?" She stared down, trying furiously to rub away tear and snot. "Maybe?" She sunk down. "I'd know." Sobs became pained sniffles as she tried to just forget- pretend that she was okay. "I just want to go home." But she didn't have one. It hung in the air like some oppressive cloud unsaid. There was no home for her to really go back to.

When the threat of being attacked seemed lower, he heaved himself back up and started to limp over, dismissing his broken glasses as he came to her. Close, he nudged against her leg in the small act of comfort he could give. "I am truely sorry you are being involved." He could tell her about how sorry he was, about their obligations and the war but that is not what she needed to hear right now.
"Why can you not go home?" Was she homeless? A stray?

She curled in on herself, sniffling before angry watery eyes looked down at the cat to push him away. It wasn't fair. He was a dumb cat and it was his fault. But the push was weak, half hearted. "Because they're dead you stupid cat." She muttered. "They're dead because of me. Because I got woken up." She hated being senshi. Worse, she herself for existing and powering up. She hated, and no comfort would come anymore. " Leave me alone."

He did not. Instead he went to her again and this time settled curled up beside her.
He was quiet for a time before he asked. "Would you like to come to my home?"

Tiny, she curled inwards before slowly, she nodded her head. Anywhere. She wanted to be anywhere but on the street, crying. Weak and helpless. Looking up from her place she sniffled and stood, waiting to be lead away. Anywhere was better than where someone could see her cry.
