With a gentle chime of bells, the cery-flutter mare known as Dyani Alumine trotted her way through the otherwise quiet-forest. Her brother Mikasi was off making his own fun, heavens knew where, and not available to entertain her at the moment. With her best friends also occupied, the sea and sky painted mare picked up her older habit of wandering, winding her way among the trees with no specific destination in mind.
Dawn had been spent on the shore, listening to the roar of the waves and reveling in the smell of salt and sand. The grains of sand had glittered like pearl dust beneath her hooves, and even now she knew some of them still clung to her coat.
"Maybe I'll find a nice meadow to roll in, rub off some of this sand." She mused as her shoulder itched with it. "Then I can see about a few flowers to sample, or something to eat while I decide to do with my entirely free day."
Dya drew to a halt as she stepped into a small clearing, sighing in disappointment as it was discovered to be empty. "I guess it is foolish beyond mentioning to hope I could run smack-into an adventure or something of entertainment, because I was distracted by talking to myself?"
