Many generations ago, the two races of the elves and orcs decided to create a peace treaty. They agreed to have a single united kingdom- the orc tribes would be the protectors, and the elf clans would be the intelligence body.
The High Elves and the Chief Orc bloodline agreed from that point forward that in order to maintain unity, they would intertwine species. As it turns out, the resulting offspring had golden skin, intelligence, and great strength. Halflings were celebrated in the Kingdom, a first of such nation.
