Jerami was on his way to the market place, flanked by Bruin who was puffed up and chirping as they went, seemingly complaining all the while. It was something that brought a bit of a smile to his lips as they went, "It will be alright, Bruin. I doubt that we are going to run into any scary kitties today." He reassured the bird, knowing full well that ever since their run in with the perzi that Bruin was on the look out for a rematch with the little feline. It was something that Jerami wouldn't allow though, not wanting to see either of them get hurt.

"We are just going to go to the marketplace, get a few things so I can finish up what I'm working on, then we will return home." He said, reaching out to pet his kinfa on the head as he walked along. It was only when Bruin stopped that he did, turning to look in the direction that the avian did, finding himself starring at a... oh, what were they called again? Snap... trotters, right? He starred for a moment, taking in the sheer size of the beast before he found himself starring at the one that standing on the beast. A tiny little Alkidike youngling was standing on the snaptrotter and the beast was doing nothing, just allowing it. It was quite impressive he thought to himself, his antennae bouncing a bit as he took in the scene.

He lifted a hand, giving a little wave to the one that seemed to be starring back at him before he turned about to head on his way once more.

Jerami gave a bit of a squeak, thrown off guard and nearly off balance as he suddenly found a little youngling wrapped around his leg. He blinked a couple times then starred down at the girl, a bit surprised at her speed. She really was a quick one, wasn't she? It kind of reminded him Shima and how capable she was when it came to getting from place to place in a hurry when she wanted to. Giving a smile as he was greeted by the girl he said, "Hello there."

Who was he? Now there was a good question he thought to himself, one of those deep thoughts that he decided to keep to himself as he said, "My name is Jerami, the grumpy kinfa next to me is Bruin." The bird's reaction to the introduction being for him to just puff up a bit more, which had Jerami laughing just a little before he turned his attention back to the girl before him, "How about you? What's your name?" He also wanted to ask about the beast she was with, as well as if she was alone, but he tried to keep his questions down to a smaller number at a time so as not to overwhelm the little girl.

"Subira and Matty, it is nice to meet the two of you." He said, finding himself for a moment curious if he was should refer to her as 'sister' still in the Alkidike way until his last trip to visit the Great Mother Aisha. It seemed as though it was the right thing to do since he hadn't technically done anything that should cause him to do otherwise. Not out loud or in front of those that matter at least.

As she asked him what he was doing he gave a smile and said, "About to go shopping. I ran out of some sewing supplies. I can finish up the piece I am working on until I replenish my supplies." It was also a chance to get out, stretch his legs, and take a breather, something that he rather needed at the moment. Giving the girl a smile he asked, "What about you? Are you traveling with Matty anywhere in particular?" With a beast that size Jerami felt she could go anywhere she wanted without anyone daring to bother her.

"Are you? That sounds like it will be a lot of fun." Jerami said, giving the little one a smile, finding her to be far too cute. It was enough to lighten his mood a bit, which was a bonus that would go along with this outing. It was as though he was being blessed with this meeting he thought to himself, his antennae giving a little bounce.

After glancing around for a moment, a touch curious as to where her mother was shopping, his gaze returned to Subira and he said, "Is your mother nearby? Best that you don't wander too far since you don't want to worry them." He gave a little laugh before he added, "I know from experience that wandering too far tends to get a person grounded." After going to Oba with his sisters they had been grounded for what felt like forever.

Turning his head he scanned the crowd until he spotted the one that Subira was pointing at. Good, so that meant that the girl wasn't all alone. He didn't want to think that she might be alone or lost or something just as terrible. She had her mother nearby, had a bodyguard in the form of a large snaptrotter, and as such he felt that she would be more then alright. Giving a smile he said, "Good, I am glad that she is nearby."

As she suddenly laughed and explained to him that Matty wouldn't let er go anywhere, that he'd go as far as to pick her up and carry her back, he couldn't help but to laugh. Was that so? He gave a smile and said, "He's sounds very protective of you. How cute!" Sounded as though Matty was as protective as Bruin was he thought to himself with a little smile. Companions such as Bruin and Matty really were important friends and protectors.

"Is that so?" Jerami asked, then gave a little smile, "Bruin and I grew up together too! I found him when he was just a grumpy ball of fluff and made friends with him. He might not look it but he's about what one would consider a teen where kinfa are concerned. That mostly means he's grown out of his baby feathers." Jerami glanced over at the brown kinfa who was standing nearby, preening his feathers while Jerami talked with the youngling. It seemed that since the one he was talking to was just a little one that Bruin saw no reason to fluff up or act aggressive in Jerami's defense.

Looking back at the little one who was clinging to him, seemingly playing hide and seek with her snaptrotter friend. It was something that made him smile a bit more, finding her innocence to be rather refreshing with everything that was going on with him at the moment. This was something he felt that he really needed and it was as though Aisha had sent this girl to meet with him. Even if she might decide she didn't like him in the future he was happy with how things were now.

Jerami gave a squeak as the little youngling dove under his dress, seemingly trying to hide from the snaptrotter. It was cute since her legs were showing from mid calf down but it was a good attempt. As the girl use his skirts as a convenient hiding spot he found himself thanking Aisha and Serin that he'd taken to wearing shorts under his dresses. He'd also have to thank Drexl the next time he saw him as well given it was Drexl that had caused him to start doing such things. He was so active and always wanting to climb trees with Jerami that such a thing was a necessity.

Today gave him yet another reason to continue to wear them he thought to himself, "I think he might see your feet, little one." He told Subira with a little chuckle.
