Rebecca couldn't help feeling a little ridiculous as she walked along the sidewalk in her costume, watching kids running from house to house with bags full of candy. She felt a little too old to be doing the same, but she hadn't been able to resist the urge to dress up anyway and a quick trip to one of the many party stores that had come to life across Destiny City had been inevitable. So here she was, dressed as Supergirl, half keeping an eye on her phone and half watching her surroundings for any impending weirdness.

In retrospect, it had been a little reckless to decide she was going to go out and do what she could to keep a watchful eye on all the kids having fun. She'd barely been able to handle it when the weirdness had come at her after all, and she knew there would be no helping anyone if bats came attacking again. But if it was a matter of those shadows, of creepy strangers lurking about, she had enough physical training to think she might be able to make a difference.

At least until someone more qualified showed up, anyway. The teen glanced around again, let out a sigh, and glanced back down at the riddle game she'd been playing. She also hadn't been prepared for how potentially boring a spontaneous patrol might be, and there was no denying her attention wasn't all there at the moment, after so long of nothing happening.
