It had been a long time since she had set foot in the gym, Misha thought. Probably far too long, considering the "work" she now did. The last time she had seriously sparred, though, resulted in a pretty serious injury to Briiva. Understandably, she felt reluctant to try that again. On the other hand, there were other things she could do. Yoga, cardio, weights. Anything, really. The gym was very well-stocked. Yet she had no real plans to use any of it at the moment - despite the fact that she wore figure-hugging leggings and an oversized t-shirt layered over a skimpy tank top. Instead, Misha wanted to size the place up for a nefarious plot that had occurred to her in the wee hours of the morning. A party. They needed a party. Something loud and fun with plenty of music and people. Snacks and alcohol would not be out of place either. Having dismissed her own dorm as being insufficient, Misha checked through the other open buildings methodically. She hoped the gym would tick all of the boxes. Pushing the door open, Misha stuck her head inside and looked around curiously. "Hello? Anyone in here?"

The gym was generally quiet, resulting in almost every sound leaving a trailing echo. Typically from Caleb's experiences, this was just the sounds of the machines and the clanking of the metal weights, so the calling of a voice stood out to him in the middle of his bench press. He put the weight into the grips as he rose up to find a woman now peering in the space. He wasn't exactly expecting to see anyone, not at this off-peak hour at least, and not quite ready to make the best impression in his sweaty state. "Yo, over here," Caleb called and waved from the bench. He picked up his shirt from the floor and wiped the sweat from his forehead, tossing it over his bare shoulder. He was half-exposed, wearing just athletic shorts and sneakers, but that should be expected in a semi-private gym. He took a bottle of water from his feet, already have empty, and took a sip to rehydrate. "Are you lost? Or looking for something?"

The automatic smile that came with meeting someone new lit Misha's face and she immediately padded further into the gym. "Nope, not lost. Just multi-tasking," she answered. As she came closer, she studied the man's face closely, trying to place him. Alright, she might have also allowed her eyes a brief, sweeping survey of his body but a girl had a pulse no matter what so who could blame her? She really could not quite find his name in her memory banks. It was on the tip of her tongue, maybe, but would come no further. Finally, she decided they had never properly been introduced which meant there was no time like the present. Misha finished crossing the gym to stand within easy distance of his weight bench. She flashed another star-bright grin. "I'm Misha. From the Aphrodite side of things. And you are?"

"Name's Caleb," he started. "McCloud. Ares." He eyed the girl, inspecting her for a brief moment. She looked familiar and he had definitely seen her around, so it was good to finally put some names to faces. "Multi-tasking on doing what?" he cocked a brow with curiosity. "Are you here to workout or something else?" He wasn't sure what multi-tasking would mean unless she had come to work out on different equipment. Hell, she certainly dressed comfortably enough for the gym.

"I'm actually here to check out the real estate." Misha made a vague gesture that seemed to indicate the entirety of the building. Caleb himself was only included by virtue of being there but he still got the feeling there was a teasing joke there. "Seeing how much room the place has and if the equipment is bolted down and all that. I thought about working out, maybe, too, since it's been a while but most of the stuff I like to do best isn't really as much fun on you're own," she explained. Then she cocked her head to one side and considered his state once more. It was far from a leer, more like honest consideration with a side of thoughtfulness. Nothing forward or invasive in the slightest. One side of her mouth quirked upwards in a sudden lop-sided smile. "But I shouldn't have interrupted you, Caleb. I'm sorry."

"The real estate? I don't think it's for sale and we're supposed to be in the dorms...," his voice softened at that last comment, realizing mid-sentence that it probably wasn't what she meant. Well, now he felt like an idiot, but he brushed past it. He wasn't exactly sure what she did mean, though. "What are you looking for in the space?" "What kind of fitness do you like?" he asked. He didn't mind working out and found it a nice change of pace from his military training days which were over-crowded and brutal, but he did spend a lot of time working out by himself which got a bit lonely.

"I'm thinking we need another party and Halloween is coming up and it is getting way too stupid-cold out there for most costumes you can find at Party City," Misha replied with a lightness that did its best to smooth over any awkwardness his question might have raised in his mind. "So we need room. Lots of room." She cast another vague look around the space, a smile playing over her lips. It was an enormous gym, plenty of room. So long as she could move the equipment out of the way, it would be excellent. But he had asked another question that needed answering so Misha turned the full force of her attention back to Caleb. "I've never really had what you'd call a regime. I've done a bit of a bunch of things. Mostly stretching and yoga and cardio. My dancing usually burns off most things." She flicked her pale eyes towards the weight bench he sat on. "I always mean to try weights but they're a little intimidating. You know?"

"A party? Sounds fun," Caleb was intrigued. He could use a way to blow off some steam and meet some new people. "The weights don't need to be that intimidating," he started, and began to open up some more. "You just gotta work your way up and start small, and also know your limits. It's good to just practice with reps to get your body used to the motions and get your muscles toned, then you can start worrying about adding bulk and strength by increasing weights if that's what you want. It's all about your goals, but a good balance can get you whatever kind of body you want..." He realized he was rambling on with a fairly basic fitness lesson. "I mean," he paused, trying to pivot. "I can spot you if you want. Or not, that's cool too."

She had not planned on working out in the slightest when she entered the gym. Not at all. All she had planned to do was case the place for party possibilities. However, the way Caleb warmed up to the topic of weight-lifting and poured out a rather sizable string of sentences on the topic. He clearly knew his stuff. She smiled more; she always found herself responding to people's passion. Misha quickly reviewed her plans for the evening and, coming up with nothing, gave a little laugh, low and gentle. "Well, I am kinda dressed for it, I suppose," she admitted. "If you really wouldn't mind showing me some basics, I would be totally grateful. I'm not looking to get buff. Just improve my tone and stamina. It's exhausting swinging around my shield."

"Sure, I can spot you til you get your limits and the hang of things," Caleb nodded. He rose from the bench and wiped down before adjusting the weights, removing them to just the bar. "If you want to give it a go..." He thought for a moment. "If you need help combat training, I'm open to that. I could use some practice with something other than a dummy."

Misha suppressed a shiver at the memory of what happened last time she sparred with a live human being but her smile never flickered and she simply shook her head. "Maybe some other time. I'm so out of practice that you would kick my butt in two point five seconds, I'm sure. But weights? I think I can win against weights." She smirked and lifted both arms, thin but lightly toned, mock-flexing. Then she laughed. "But we should still start slow and please be patient with me."

"We'll just do some reps for now to get through the motions," Caleb assured her with a light smile to her flexing. "You'll have to work your way up to get some of these," he teased, flexing his biceps before making his pecs playfully dance. He was showing off. Just a little. He held up the bar so she can get adjusted into the bench and into good form first before lowering the bar into her hands. Without the weights, the bar was only a couple of pounds so should be completely manageable, but it was good training for the muscles.

With that kind of invitation, who was she to refuse the pleasure of paying appropriate attention to Caleb's very nice chest? No one, that was who. Misha resisted applauding, however, feeling that it might be a bit too silly. It was fun to see someone loosen up and be silly, though, and she would never actively discourage it. Especially when the scenery was so very nice. She nodded to show her understanding and slipped onto the vacated bench. Laying down, she wiggled and squirmed until she was under the bar and figured her shoulders were pretty much in line with it. Then she reached up to wrap her delicate fingers around the empty weight bar. "Just straight up and then down?" she asked. "How far down?"
