Ability: "Voice Mimicker" An ability that allows her to mimic any voice and sound she listens to (stores it in her memory). Although this ability has come with a price- she lacks a voice of her own- she is limited to the words that others speak around her (which can often lead to her voice changing pitch, tones, volume, and gender if she tries to speak her own words) but she is incapable of speaking her actual mind (picture a computer program that can only vocalize words that are typed into it, she might have read the word, but unless someone shares it with her she is incapable of speaking it). Because of her ability to mimic sounds and voices she is known to weave them into enchanting melodies that can change depending on her mood or the mood of the world around her (the melodies have no real purpose other then sounding pretty).

Bio:
Monica Bennette was born into the world strangely silent. The small girls sire was a dragon and her mother was a phoenix and because of her low birth her prospects for the future seemed bleak. Although her dam did her best to rear her daughter properly their poverty made it difficult and her mother often resorted to bedding different men to earn enough coin to feed her. This life was a dangerous one for the young girl as she would often attract the unwanted attention of her dam's guests, but luckily her mother wasn't quiet, and had no fear of chasing men off (even if it costed her a nights pay) to protect her daughter. It was one of these guests that ended up murdering her dam and orphaning her. Monica withdrew into herself and would often spend the time she wasn't cleaning or running chores for coin visiting the temples or listening to the birds at the temple of Siyah. Eventually she was creating her own melodies by intertwining bird songs, noises, and even the voices of the people around her. These songs earned her the nickname of 'songbird' among some of the more frequent temple worshipers who believed her songs to be her gift to the gods and goddesses. In reality her songs were simply part of a little girl learning to control her ability.

Monica gradually caught the attention of an old noble woman by the name of Elizabeth who, in her late years, had grown frail and lonely. The old woman would often pay her to sing for her or to simply sit quietly with her while she told her stories or gossip from the rest of the noble and royal families. Monica enjoyed her time spent with Elizabeth and learned many things from the sharp-tongued old woman. It was because of this old woman that she realized how useful her ability was when it came to delivering messages. At the age of thirteen she was running messages from lady Elizabeth to her living companions. Most of the time they were simple invitations for tea but gradually she started running messages with more scandalous information to farther locations and the more messages she ran the more noticed she became in the noble and royal families. By the age of sixteen she was formally titled a courier and had begun to venture father from the maude with each message she delivered. Gradually she earned the trust of many high paying clients and because of her loyalty and secrecy she was given a horse to assist in her travels.

Monica remained neutral during the war between Emperor Azazel and former Empress Catherine and would often run messages for both sides. Although her loyalties have been challenged she has never once discussed her political preferences with her clients or even her friends (preferring to stay neutral) although she sees observant and has been known to collect information that she often stores in her memory. Monica is drawn towards music or those whose voices she thinks are beautiful (voices to her are priceless treasures) and she can spend hours listening to someone speak simply to get feel for their voices. Monica doesn't discriminate when it comes to her clients and doesn't mind adjusting prices (or accepting other things in forms of payment) to run messages for people.

The horse earned his name for his outstanding endurance and rarely faltering beneath the gentle hand of his mistress. The horse is known to be skittish and quick to flee if dangers should arise (with or without his mistress)
Other: She has a habit of collecting small pretty objects (like a magpie), she can often be heard weaving odd noises together and testing out new melodies, she is drawn towards beautiful music/voices and can often be lulled into a state of relaxation, she enjoys spending time her "true" skin (her dragon-phoenix form), and she if she comes to trust someone she remains loyal to them (shares information, runs messages for free, and other odd small things to show she is fond of them).
Criminal Record: The only things she has formally been charged with have been a handful of cases of stealing (mostly bread and once a necklace from a shop) and again when she was charged once (but was pardoned) with spying and plotting to overthrow Empress Catherine. Other then that she has no real criminal record.
